Arthur did the trouble shooting on the phone without charge. He is very knowledgeable and will work with you to find the most economical solution. He is very focused on customer satisfaction.

Arthur was fantastic to work with. Very prompt in calling me back, punctual for the appointment time, and was great with my kids and dog. We evaluated some of the other "larger" providers but felt very comfortable going with Dog Defence given his knowledge as well as the fact that he was far more affordable. I highly recommend.

Outstanding work. Arthur knows his business, and works quickly and efficiently. The fence wire had run under our front walkway. He removed the blocks and ran the wire, and replaced he blocks better than before. When he was done the only evidence of his being there were the warning flags and sign. After the install he spent about 30 minutes with me and Charlie (the Lab) explaining how to train Charlie to respect the fence. Before leaving Arthur told us to call him with any questions, and if we had any problems with the fence.

Arthur was pretty amazing - he worked way beyond the call of duty. I realized my existing fence was not working on Saturday morning. I did a little research into large well known companies and saw I couldn't schedule anything for a week. I searched Angie's list and then contacted Arthur. He arrived Sunday morning at 9am (as he said he would on Saturday evening) and repaired the fence.

Excellent. Arthur promptly returned my phone call and arrived on time to give me an estimate. I approved the $650 fee, he installed it in approximately 3 hours. I already have a chain link fence, but my small dog managed to escape under a gate. Arthur went through the system with me, showed me how to operate the panel system, fitted the dog collar on my dog, and walked with me and my dog around the yard pointing out all the flags that indicated when we were near the underground wire. There is no 'correction' when you begin training. When the dog gets near a flag, the collar makes buzzing sound, and your job is to have dog back up and then praise him. Takes practice. My dog now has 'correction' (slight zap) on and does not go near the flags. We also watched a video on how to train your dog. My installation required that the wire be placed with a small cut in the hot top of driveway. Arthur wanted to be sure I approved of the color of the substance used to fill the small cut in driveway. Very courteous, informed, caring man. I highly recommend him.

He came out quick and explained everything very well. Very friendly and job was done fast just as he said he would. I would highly recommend using Arthur in the future. The dog learned quick and now enjoying the freedom of roaming the yard.

The work included going about 10 yards into the woods in the back and across a 3 car length wide driveway. He was very responsive from the start, calling me back immediately and coming out to take a look at the property and providing a quote within the week. He was ready to go with the project as soon as dig-safe came out and had the yard marked. While he doesn't provide formal dog training, Arthur did take plenty of time to ensure that I understood how to properly fit the collar the and introduce the dog the fencing boundaries. He was very knowledgeable and provided great training suggestions and recommendations.

Arthur installs underground invisible pet containment fencing as a side job. I cannot say enough great things about his professionalism. His equipment is first rate and attention to detail is excellent. He even places any exposed wire into conduit where it goes from the house to the ground. After getting a quote for $2000 from another company I considered buying and installing a system myself. I am really glad I did not do it myself, you need a specialized machine that cuts a groove and lays the wire at the same time. Arthur did the job far better than anyone else for less than one third the cost. His system has adjustable range and shock levels just like Invisible Fence brand. About three weeks after the system was installed I got an alarm that there was a break in the line. I didn't realize my irrigation company cut the wire while installing an irrigation line. I called Arthur and he came out the next day and found the problem and fixed it. When I asked him what I owe him, he said don't worry about it just put a post on the De-Fence facebook page. De-Fence has my highest recommendation, they are the only company you should consider for an invisible fence installation.
