DESIRED TEMPERATURE

Jerry Tellier, the owner of Desired Temperature, quoted me the lowest price for a new furnace installed. His price was low enough that we could replace the AC condenser at the same time. The installation (performed by Mark) was quick, clean and done when I requested. Jerry visited the next day to collect the remainder of the cost and asked if we had any questions or concerns with the work performed. The cost was exactly what was quoted - no surprises!

We had to replace a natural gas boiler and Desired Temperature's bid came in middle. The owner of the company was determined to win us over, and he doggedly called me to do the job. He insisted that the price was fair, and the energy efficiency of the boiler would end up in a rebate of $1500. We agreed, as this was a local family-owned business and the owner was relentless. The boiler was installed and it took about 2 months of fine tuning it, which meant juggling around our work schedule to accomodate the installers, and the inspector whose only availability was during mid-day on Tuesday and Thursday. We never were provided with the installer's license number (lesson learned the hard way) nor a receipt, which was needed for the rebate. I phone and emailed to no avail, finally drafting up my own receipt and sending that in with a copy of the checks we used to pay the owner. In the end it was too late for the rebate, and I still do not have a receipt. Thank heavens the boiler is running OK, but I will be looking for a new HVAC company to take care of it. I am willing to give up my 3-years of no fee service with Desired Temp. My advice--don't even bother to contact them!
