Antifonario Construction Dracut

Nothing went well, this builder took advantage of us, we did not get the kitchen we had picked out, then it was ruined by a leaking roof. We still feel ripped off and don't understand the builders behavior. It was a nightmare for us. Do yourself a favor and use a differnt builder.

Horrible experience from start to finish renovating our kitchen and sun room. I had to go to my home owners insurance for repair money to fix this contractors mess, then our home owners dropped us, due to the cost involved. I tried hiring a lawyer, but this builder is a proficient liar. He belongs on "Angie's List" "Black List"!

This contractor is a pathological liar, and should be avoided. He worked without a (state of mass.) required contract, and refused to pull a building permit ,even when I asked to get it. He refused to allow a dumpster, saying "it will attract attention". All waste, old cabinets, boxes, pipes, insulation, sink, etc. were thrown in my back yard for us to clean up later. I ordered my own kitchen cabinets from a cabinet co. that sold to the public. They told me later, that my builder came in and changed, and also upgraded my order, and, added a commision. He later insisted he could do that because the cabinet co. didn't sell to the public. Another lie! His electrician was awful. All the power cords were too short, and he overcharged us allot. I told the builder I did not want any SOFETS in the kitchen, so he ordered smaller cabinets than I wanted, and had to build sofets for them to hang on. We had waited 10 weeks, with no kitchen, when the undersized cabinets arrived. He knew just what he was doing! The roof that he repaired, leaked down our walls onto the new hardwood floors, just after he completed the job. When we called, he wouldn't return our calls, when we wrote he ignored us. I finally hired a lawyer, but it got too expensive. Frank had ripped us off, and done such poor work that we still needed to hire people to repair and complete his work. Frank refused to repair any bad work. We were good customers, who always paid on time. We felt completly taken advantage of, and I still can't believe ithis happened to us. Oh, he also left the plastic wrap on all the new kitchen cabinets, as he installed them. We ripped off the plastic, but it's still in all the corners and yellowed now. One side panel,of a cabinet, was put on inside out. I showed him, but he never fixed it. He also put dark brown kick boards all around under my new cream colored cabinets, it looked awful! I called the cabinet co. to check my order, and they said "cream" kickboards were ordered, and put into Mr. Antifonario's truck. They called him, and majically, my missing cream colored, cabinet kickboards were returned to me, and installed. There were also several extra,wrong sized, cabinets too. The cabinet co. said all extra cabinets were mine, but, on his last day, Frank took everything. When I showed Frank a heat shield, that was to go between the stove and the dish washer, he threw it in the pile of extra stuff saying, "you don't need that!" Later the wood panel, next to the stove, came unglued, from the heat, and fell off. And last, I was so disgusted, that I demanded to see all my paper work, cabinet orders, warrenty, etc, and guess what? He absolutly refused to give it to me. We had words over the phone, and the last thing he said to me was bizzare. He said, "do you know why guys like me do this?, (meaning being dishaonest), I said "Why Frank?" He said, "because if we don't, we make absolutly no money!!" I'm still stunned and disgusted. DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR!!!
