John has done a lot of work on our house over the last 12 years. This latest project was the biggest one yet - replacing the wood clapboard siding on most of the house, plus trim, painting, and replacing two storm doors. The house looks great now.

John fixed the siding at our building and he did a great job. Color matched the paint so we didn't have to pay for more than was necessary. Hard worker and gets the job done. Will hire again.

I have used R and G Contracting in the past and did not hesitate to contact him again. Many years later John Feroli has proven that he is consistently good at what he does best, which is the installation of James Hardie’s Products. There were some challenging areas due to the remodeled construction of the house and replacement windows installed by previous owner however, John embraced the challenges without sacrifing the quality of the exterior. In fact, it enhanced the overall appearance. John has also demonstrated his flexibility. During the installation of the siding I decided to add beadboard ceiling in the porch area. John adjusted his busy schedule to accommodate me. His price is fair and reasonable. I would highly recommend him.

Due to the several Nor’easters this winter, we had some siding damage on the outside of our home. First of all, it’s hard to get anyone to answer the phone much less take an interest in your problems but I called R and G and not only did John take my call, he came out the same day! Immediate bonus points. He quoted us an extremely fair price for the repair and we hired him on the spot. As we were still in between storms, John couldn’t get much done until the weather got better, but he came over and ‘water tightened’ up the spots while we rode out the next 2 storms and waited for new siding to arrive. Once things settled down he finished the job. Things are back to where they should be and look great. John was prompt, professional, friendly, and let me again stress...fair. He gave us a quote and stuck to it. We had recently experienced a terrible price gouging situation with another contractor and were very skeptical. But John has restored our faith that there are honest contractors that do quality work. We will definitely call him again.

We hired John a few years ago for siding and sliding door installation on the home we owned. We recently moved, and our new home needed siding and new porch windows and we did not hesitate to call John. He came out and gave us a quote, and got the job done. It looks fabulous. John was great to work with and we would absolutely call him for any other work we needed done.

John was great! He removed and replaced two concrete footings for our rear deck. He completed it on time and on budget. I’d definitely hire him again.

Not only did John Feroli find time to slot our tiny job into a busy schedule, he was able to come by a day early to fix it! If I could give him a higher grade than all A's, I would.

R&G provided a great quote and were able to perform the work to a good standard within the time frame originally specified. Work was not a new build rather a repair of an older 3 level deck, new decking laid down and repairs where necessary. R&G also repainted the entire deck. We had a number of change orders to the original specifications, R&G worked with us and provided various suggestions to enhance the job.. The communication with R&G was relatively easy and we felt that all changes were accommodated to our satisfaction. I would hire R&G again for the same type of work. They provided a good job for the price and time frame they originally quoted. The quality of the carpentry was good.

John did excellent work and was very reasonably priced. He was detail oriented and willing to go the extra mile, without nickel and diming me. The only real issue is he was short staffed at the time, so the project took longer than had been planned.

There was no problem. He contacted me right away and ordered more siding. It was custom siding and you need a contractor in order to get the siding. They were reliable and got the job done. There were no issues.

John did an excellent job. He was punctual, careful, and complete. He often worked by himself, which extended the life of the project, but in the end he did a very complete job at no extra cost to us although the work took one month longer than expected. We would recommend him for a similar job. His clean-up was fantastic.

John was fantastic. He responded to my inquiry within an hour and showed up at our house the same day. He repaired vinyl siding that had been damaged in last year's storms and replaced the railings on two interior staircases. All the same day! We will definitely be contacting John first when we're ready to take on a larger project.

My husband and I are in the process of selling our home and it was requested on the inspection report to have a few outside items fixed before the final approval. I sent out a handful of requests here on Angie's list and since the scope of our work was small a lot of companies turned us down. But not for R and G Contracting! John reached out within the hour and after a quick call on the phone he was happy to help us out!! And get this... on the SAME DAY! John and Kevin got the work done quickly and was able to help resolve a couple other items as part of the cost. John was extremely knowledgeable, honest, and determined. Exactly what we look for in a contractor. I'll be definitely hiring R and G Contracting for when we move into our new home!

All went well. One of the units had some indoor damage to an electrical socket. It fell out due to hammering. But John fixed it as soon as possible.

John was great to work with from the beginning! Our house was built in 1924 and any type of work that we have done is always challenging. John did an amazing job with great attention to detail. Because of the age of the house and sizing not being standard, we weren't sure how it would all come together. We couldn't be happier. Everything looks great - our neighbors keep stopping by to admire his work!

The work performed by John was excellent and without any shortcuts to save cost or time. He showed up on time or told us before if he had to do some work on another job. There were no surprises at the end. He also gave some good tips on how to do certain things myself, always explained the work he did and why he has to do things in a certain way. There is no doubt that I will hire him again.

I emailed R and G on a Sunday morning when I first noticed that two long pieces of vinyl siding had fallen of the back of the house. John got back to me right away and reinstalled the siding later that afternoon. I was very surprised and happy to get the repairs done so quickly, especially on a weekend.

We wanted it repair quickly so we didn't have squirrels moving in. John was responsive to my message on Angie's List and came by quickly. Because the work was urgent, he was able to fit us in on the weekend around his regularly scheduled work. He was very easy to deal with and professional and I appreciate that he fit us in so quickly.

John did a good job--a lot of work for a great price. He's easy to work with and was very candid about the reality that you don't know what you'll find underneath when doing something like removing siding. What I like about John is whenever a complication came up (e.g., sections of shingles needing replacement), he would tell me what's up and then discuss two or three options (and prices) as far as solving the issue goes. I have referred others to R and G and will call John again for other jobs related to windows and siding. Painting isn't really John's specialty but he had some guys do a good job--except where the surface was quite damaged and they didn't take the time to prep carefully. But overall the house looks great. Huge improvement and John did it in a way that looks great and saved a lot of money. My only complaint is that the job dragged on. Originally, John was going to start and finish the work before another job he had committed to, but my job didn't get done and he started on the other job. So the two week job on my house became a three month job. Still, I recommend R and G and would call him again.

Complete professional. I thoroughly enjoyed working with John and would absolutely use him again. After a horrible experience with another local siding company, I met with John about a small vinyl siding job. He was everything I wished for in a contractor. He was responsive, worked through the situation and offered thoughts, and did a super job. I will definitely hire him again.

They were pretty good from what I can tell. My mom was really the one that dealt with them. I met the guy who did the job. He was nice, respectful, and relatable. He was in and out pretty quickly.
