+ -1 moreSLOPPY WORK, EITHER DIDN'T WANT TO SEAL OFF ROOMS AND WHEN HE DID, IT WAS DONE WITH DUCT TAPE, CAUSING A LOT OF WORK TO RESTORE FRESHLY PAINTED WALLS AND DOORWAYS, SEEMED UNWILLINGLY TO USE THE NUMBER OF COATS OF FINISH I WANTED, UNWILLING TO MOVE APPLIANCE. VERY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED. THE WORK NEEDS TO BE REDONE AFTER ONLY A YEAR.

+ -1 moreTHE SUPERVISOR AND HIS WORKERS ARE FRIENDLY AND PUNCTUAL. THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK, HOWEVER, IS ABYSMAL. HE BASICALLY RUINED THE FINISH JOB ON ONE HALF OF OUR HOMES FLOORS. THOUGH WE HAD NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH REFINISHING, WE APPLIED THE POLYURETHANE TO THE REST OF THE HOUSE OURSELVES AT OUR EXPENSE AND ON OUR OWN TIME. WE DID A FAR BETTER JOB THEN THEY. I HAVE NEVER SEEN FLOORS THAT LOOK AS BAD AS THOSE HE REFINISHED (PRIOR TO OUR OWN FINAL REPOLY OF THEM), EVEN THOSE REFINISHED BY FRIENDS OF OURS.
Description of Work: WE CONTRACTED N&D FLOOR SERVICES TO REFINISH 1100 SQ FEET OF OUR FLOORS IN TWO PARTS. THEIR SANDING WORK WAS OK, THOUGH THEY LEFT ELLIPTICAL SANDING MARKS IN SEVERAL PLACES. WHEN ASKED TO REMOVE THE MARKS, THEY HAND SANDED THE AREAS AND LEFT DEEPER GOUGES IN THE FLOOR. WHEN IT CAME TO FINISHING THE FIRST HALF OF THE HOUSE, THE FINISH ENDED UP WITH HORRIBLE AMOUNTS OF INCLUSIONS FROM THE BRUSH AND MATERIAL. WE ASKED IF THIS WOULD EXIST IN THE FINAL COAT AND HE SAID IT WOULDN'T. NONETHELESS, WHEN THE FINAL COAT DRIED, THERE WERE UPWARDS OF 50 INCLUSIONS PER SQUARE INCH! MANY OF THESE WERE QUITE LARGE AND VISIBLE (CONTACT ME FOR PICTURES). WHEN I INSISTED, HE REBUFFED THE FLOOR AND WAS WILLING TO RECOAT THEM. SINCE WE SIMPLY DIDN'T TRUST HIM AT THIS POINT, WE NOVICES APPLIED THE POLY OURSELVES. THE FLOORS TURNED OUT BETTER, BUT INCLUSIONS FROM EARLIER COATS ARE VISIBLE. WE APPLIED THE TWO COATS OF POLY TO THE SECOND HALF OF THE HOUSE OURSELVES. THEY TURNED OUT NICELY.

Description of Work: THEY STRIPPED AND SANDED STAINED HARDWOOD FLOORS, 6 ROOMS AND A STAIRWAY, AND SCRAPED A LINOLEUM FLOOR.
