Excellent! The booking person was very friendly and got me a plumber within 48 hours of my call. He was very professional and did a great and quick job. No hidden or added prices. Just clear, professional and a well done job.

This was not a difficult task but the work had be synchronized with the granite installer. Horvitz accommodated my schedule and did the work exactly on time so that my time without kitchen sink was minimized.

They are very professional. I have been using them for years and they are my go to plumbers for all jobs large and small.

My toilet was running continuously so I called and asked them to come to fix the mechanism. Doug asked me for information about the brand name, how old it was, and sent a technician over. When he arrived and saw the toilet, he said that the manufacturer doesn't make that that model nor replacement parts any more. I called back and spoke to Doug and he suggested that I go to two showrooms in the area to look at replacement model options. After I selected one, Horvitz picked it up, installed it, and everything has gone very smoothly. Doug was very professional and helpful throughout. About a month later, a sink in the basement filled with water. I called Horvitz and Doug told me that I didn't need a plumber, I needed someone to clean the main drain to the house. I was impressed that he immediately diagnosed the problem and referred me to the type of service provider that I needed without sending someone over and charging me for a visit that I didn't need.

As always, very good communication from beginning to end. Informed me of options before starting. Once started changed opinion of things (to a less expensive route) and did the job. Valve works great now. Gas leak found quickly and tightened up easily. I've used Horvitz many times with great results.

Well I liked the reviews they got. When I called they had the stuff together and the person handled me called initially and focused doing on what my particular problem and I was asking him lots of questions so that at the time he was dispatching a plumber, plumber already had all the information brought all the tools and supplies and even the garbage disposal that would exactly match my needs and fit into the pipes that already had existing so the plumber was able to realize and do the work. I thought it was really a good level of customer service and just not saying just oh what is your name, what time should somebody to see you but actually figuring out what the problem was so that they could arrive and take care of the problem. I would use them again.

We remodeled the kitchen and needed pipes redirected for a new position of appliances. This was done well and promptly. However, he did notice that our heater flue was not in good repair and let the town inspector know which prompted a letter from the town requiring us to repair. Ultimately, we hired another plumber to repair this and things got complicated because the old flue was not in-code with the wrong up-slope of the flue pipes requiring a new entrance to the chimney, hole in the wall, etc. We were satisfied with the technical work performed by Horvitz but not satisfied with the mode of communication. In my opinion he should not have been inspecting parts of the house that he was not hired to fix. In addition, he could have let us know first to give us a chance to repair before notifying the town. Not a friendly way to do business.

The employee arrived by 9:40 AM. Spent a long time on the phone with the warrantee company, ensuring that the repair would be covered. He then cheerfully and quickly set about the installation, explaining both the process and the strengths of the unit (a nice upgrade from my 10 year old unti). He was finished by 10:30 AM, he left the kitchen clean, and overall it was a great experience. I would certainly use them again.

We have been using this company for many years, both for personal plumbing issues and for the condo association we are a part of. Everyone we have ever delt with in Horvitz Plumbing has been very professional and pleasant. It's easy to set up appointments, the technicians are always on time and the work performed is well done and honest. From what we've heard, you can find cheaper plumbing service, but we don't plan on changing our allegiance any time soon.

The best thing about Horvitz is the guy on the phone who reviews your problem ahead of time to be sure the attending plumber will have all the info he needs to do the job. When the plumber arrived, he already had all the right parts and replaced the disposal in less than 30 minutes. Very professional.

They are excellent. I would use them again in the future.

Setting up the appointment went well. The company returned my call within a day and once I decided to proceed with the work, they were able to come to the house within 2 days. The job was completed without any disruption and with little attention from me. The plumber Jim was very professional and diagnosed the problem quickly. Once I gave him the go-ahead to install the shock absorber, he had to go out to purchase the parts. It would have been helpful and cheaper for me if he had stocked those basic parts on his truck, since I had to pay for the time it took to go get them. Horvitz charges $99 for the 1st hour and after that they charge in 1/2 hour increments. Once the parts were in hand, the work was completed promptly, neatly and well. We've heard no noise from the pipes since, so we're pleased!

They are fantastic! The response is quick and everything is explained clearly. Work is completed efficiently and neatly.

Service person was prompt and professional. Got in to assess the problem, fixed it (toilet not flushing with adequate power, flushometer type), and out the door w/n 30 minutes. I had called another person that had specialized in dealing with plumbing issues for the building and he was all about trying to get my business, saying how he only knew the building and how they have to do central shut off for everything in the building before proceeding with anything. Horvitz guy did not have to deal with any of that. My tenant in the place is a contractor himself and saw the work being performed and found it to be professional. The part was about $26, labor was around $99 for 30 minutes. Considering I felt like I was going to get ripped off by this other guy I think Horvitz was very professional. I have used them for my own personal property as well and found them to be efficient and professional every time.

VERY NICE, KNOWLEDGABLE, EFFICIENT, COURTEOUS. ALSO TRUSTWORTHY - I LEFT HIM WITH A BLANK CHECK SINCE I HADTO LEAVE BEFORE HE COMPLETED THE WORK. ONLY THING TO NOTE: HE DIDN'T HAVE THE KIND OF PIPE I WANTED ON HIS TRUCK (THE WEATHER PROOFED (?)) PIPE , SO WOULD HAVE HAD TO TRAVEL FAR TO GET IT -- AT MY EXPENSE. OPTED FOR THE PIPE THAT HE HAD, WHICH WAS NOT TOO MUCH OF A SACRIFICE, BUT IT STILL WASN'T EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. HAVE NO IDEA WHETHER IT WOULD HAVE BEEN REASONABLE TO EXPECT HIM TO HAVE THIS ITEM ON HIS TRUCK...BUT I HAD SAID WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS WHEN I SCHEDULED THE APPOINTMENT. THIS IS WHY I GAVE A B FOR RESPONSIVENESS.

I developed a leak under the sink and called Horvitz Plumbing. As usual -- I use this company regularly for plumbing needs -- the company was exceedingly responsive. The plumber arrived the same day and indicated we needed a new faucet. He advised me regarding the best brands and ones to avoid. Two days later, when the faucet arrived, he returned to install it. His work was excellent and he explained why he installed it with putty rather than the optional bottom plate that might attract bacteria. I have used Horvitz plumbing routinely for maintenance of my boiler and several other incidental plumbing issues and have been consistently pleased by their reliability, professionalism, courtesy and workmanship. Horvitz plumbing is my favorite service company!

Excellent service. We called Horvitz the day before and they came promptly the following morning. Showed up on time when they said they would. Dave cleared out a clogged kitchen sink.disposer drain and recommended re-plumbing pipes under sink to prevent future clogging (this has happened a few times before). Snaked clear the powder room drain where a bad clog had formed down the line. We are very happy with Horvitz's services and have used them for the past few years after less than stellar experiences with other Brookline-area plumbers. Dave is phenomenal - a great professional who really knows his stuff. Willing to show you solutions & recommendations for improvements without being overbearing.

They are friendly and very responsive. They are able to come out within a day or two; if there is any crisis, they come immediately. They are attentive. They are able to give good advice about your options; if there is something that can be repaired, they will tell you directly that it can be done by you. They are informative. They seem to be honest.

My interaction with M Horvitz Plumbing & Heating Co Inc was good overall. I don’t know if their price was competitive. They were responsive, punctual and professional. The quality of their work was good. I would use them again in the future.

M Horvitz is professional and they do excellent work. Their estimator came out and looked at the job and it ended up costing exactly what he estimated.

The plumber arrived right on time and was extremely professional. He did all the work in 2 hrs. I am very happy with the quality of the work. That being said, 100/hr seems incredibly expensive. That's 200k per year WOW.

He is very intelligent, extremely knowledgeable about plumbing and so decent that he took my breath away. Namely, he suggested to me that I call the manufacturer of my faucets. That turned out to be extremely valuable and could have under-cut my need for a plumber, but he was kind enough to want to serve my interests over and above his.

No problems at all - they came when pormised did the work in a satisfactory manner, and left our home clean and neat.
