Matt Ford evaluated our HVAC system and recommended changing from an oil furnace to a new boiler and hydro air system. His primary recommendation came as we were trying to solve for some condensation in the flue pipes. He said the boiler would be more efficient. As part of the update to our system, Matt replaced the water heater, put in a new boiler and air handler, eventually adding a bypass for ventilation, and subsequently changed the condenser for the AC. The new system did not work properly almost immediately. The air handler would freeze solid and the heating system would not come on at random times in the winter. Matt offered many excuses and solutions. I was paying for service calls to fix an expensive and new system. Matt said he knew what was wrong, and the next thing would fix it. Unfortunately he continually missed the solutions. I paid for $700 bypass that proved useless the same day he put it in. I had to replace the air handler motor 2 times. I had to replace the relays for the zones 2 times. After many service calls last year, I got fed up. I had 2 separate HVAC companies come by and give me new evaluations. Both said it could not work the way it was currently set up. Both new companies identified the same problems and similar solutions. I finally called Matt to explain that I had to make the change. Matt apologized and said he was disappointed. I asked him if he'd be willing to buy back any of the almost new equipment. Matt bought back the equipment, mostly for scrap value for $800. I appreciate that Matt came by the house to take away all of the equipment. The new system I just had put in by a different company works like a charm. It is really efficient and has solved all of the problems I had with the system from Complete Comfort. Unfortunately, the past 5 years and many thousands of dollars spent were a waste.
Description of Work: Matt Ford with Complete Comfort Heating and AC assessed the heating ventilation and air conditioning in my single family house and replaced the existing system with a new boiler and hydro air system. He provided ongoing service for the system over several years.
