Description of Work: Gino installed the kitchen and bathroom floor tile, and the kitchen backsplash glass tile. He also regrouted our shower tile.

Description of Work: DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN! Mr. Campobello started my job, months late, and was to remove the old and retile my bathroom. I also had hired him to retile my kitchen at a later date. The work started and within 2 days he had nailed thru my wall into another room and scratched a cherry console cabinet while carrying out the old bath contents. Accidents happen, I know, and he agreed to fix the areas. After 7 days without a bathroom, he called me in to discuss the threshold placement and I looked into the room at the area he had tiled and it was very, very crooked. The tiles were not level and the spaces between the tile were all different sizes! Upon looking more closely it was evident that the whole bathroom was not square. The deco tiles I bought for the border were chipped and unevenly laid, the tiles were not cut right and the grout spaces did not line up ! Every tile either was incorrectly placed, scratched or chipped. He had no idea what he was doing! When I called this to his attention he looked at me and said he would remove and fix the areas. I, not knowing what I do now, left him alone and went outside to read. About 1&1/2 hrs. later I went in to see how he was doing and HE WAS GONE. All of his tools were gone and without a word he snuck out! I was shocked, he not only cost me quite a bit of money but he was cowardly and unprofessional in leaving without some sort of resolution to the problems as well as the damaged furniture and walls. Needless to say he did not answer or return our calls. This is now 12 days without a bathroom and shower, my only shower I might say. Not to look for sympathy but I just had hip surgery and it is hard for me to get around and impossible for me to shower elsewhere...he knows that too. I have had other tile installers come to look and they cannot believe what they are seeing, I could have done a better job! Not only is the tile all wrong but also the floor is not correctly prepared. He used all small pieces of old plywood he had lying around in his van instead of 1 sheet of cement board. I could go on and on but the bottom line is that not only have I lost a lot of money but the whole bathroom needs to be torn down and redone, all new tiles need to be reordered and I have to wait for another installer to become available. It may be weeks before I can get new tiles and have them installed. This man appears very polite, he wants you to think he knows all about tile and talks a good game. PLEASE, PLEASE BEWARE! I know he has good reviews by others but anyone is welcome to see my bathroom or my pictures for verification of the mess. One more thing, I WILL BE TAKING ACTION regarding this disaster and I hope no one else goes through what has happened to me.

Description of Work: Gino is an artist. He most recently did the backsplash in our kitchen and it is absolutely BEAUTIIFUL. About 2 years ago Gino also designed and tiled our family room it is a work of art. We still get compliments on it. Gino is also reasonable and meticulous couldn't ask for more!!!

Description of Work: Remove old grout from shower, tub, junctions of tile walls in the corners and around window. Sanded down tile edge areas which were sharp and corrected mismatched grout colors.

Description of Work: Gino came and nailed down the plywood floor first. Then he mixed the cement and laid the foundation. He then placed the tiles and set them. Then a day later he returned and did the grout. He owned his own wet saw so we did not have to rent one. We had a strange space to tile as our new jacuzzi was an odd shape. He did a brilliant job. We were thrilled. We called him an artist.
