The Willard Company was very efficient with scheduling a visit to come give an estimate, sending the estimate, and scheduling the work to be done. The team came and replaced the gutter around the third floor balcony in one day. The price was just a little over the estimate because they replaced old wood behind the gutter which was a very good thing. I will definitely hire them again and recommend them.

Came out to do an estimate, and didn't provide it to me for many days or contact me, despite multiple phone calls I made and messages left. While I understand they were swamped with demand due to a snowstorm, I was led to believe they would be more responsive - and the responsibility lands with them to set expectations with me on turnaround time. In the end, they did repair our gutters in about 10 minutes, and I can't complain - it was fast, albeit very expensive. If I can find an alternative, I wouldn't hire them again.

Absolutely great experience with this company. We thought we needed our vent pipe seal changed and called Willard based on the reviews here. I understand why they get such high ratings. The person who answered the phone was very friendly and she was able to get someone out in just a few days to take a look. The project manager James was great. He checked out the vent and let me know it's actually fine. Didn't try to sell me something that I didn't need, which was much appreciated. He was extremely helpful in explaining what else I should do to try to track down my issue. I will absolutely call them back for work if it turns out to something they do and would recommend them to others.

I can’t praise Willard enough. They stand by their work for years! They are prompt, courteous, skilled. I highly recommend them.

Everything was great except cleanup. There was a misunderstanding about which shingles we wanted, but Willard made good on it. They even removed a small area where they had installed the wrong shingles and replaced them with the right shingles, all at no extra charge. The new roof looks great. The only problem was cleanup. We found a large number of nails in our yard and on our driveway, and a lot of pieces of plastic lying around.

Fantastic! The estimate was clear and detailed appropriately. The product selection was high quality and appropriate for our project. The roof project ended up taking 1.5 days and not the originally estimated single day but I was pleased they didn't try to reschedule the remainder and instead simply arrived the next morning, completed the work, and cleaned up the yard well.

Excellent experience from initial contact through completion of the work. The crew was friendly, professional, and industrious. They arrived every morning at 7:30 and worked until 6 pm. They cleaned up everyday and they were careful to protect our landscaping and property. Several neighbors commented favorably on the crew's work ethic and diligence. It's a pleasure to deal with a company that takes pride in its work and wishes to maintain a good reputation.

What a waste of time. James came mid November to look at my roof which had a leak. He confirmed he was going to send me an estimate. After 6 weeks and many calls to the office I got an email (on December 6) saying they can't get to my roof until end February. I replied and asked for the estimate, and nothing. If you can't deal with my roof issue then at least be upfront about it instead of wasting 2 months of my time for a problem that is now worse. Very unprofessional. They cherry pick their work so be careful because they will waste your time and leave you hanging.

Loved James who came to do the estimate. He spent time educating me which I truly appreciate. Estimate done quickly, and reasonably priced. My only complaint is that 10 days after they had a signed contract I was still calling and asking for a tarp over the site of the leak as storm after storm caused leaking into my bedroom where despite having buckets to catch the rain it was still ruining my hardwood floors. I spoke and wrote emails to Melissa to ask for a tarp and either was told they “were too busy to come out”or did not even return my calls. Thankfully once I was able to bypass Melissa, Mr PJ Willard intervened and a tarp was up the next day and the roof done immediately after. Great work, completed quickly once started. I will never be sure if Melissa is solely responsible for decision making, or she is told to delay requests. Either way, sorry to say it was the only bad part of the job. Otherwise A plus.

It could not have gone better. The crew came on time and worked late each day. A few days were extremely hot, but they worked through it. When the job was finished, two neighbors told me that they watched the progress, and each neighbor commented that the crew was very hard working. One said, "I've never seen such a hard-working crew. Each person knew his specific job and they worked together seamlessly." Also, several neighbors have stopped me to say that they love the look of the new roof and new gutters.

Willard came out and installed a gutter that was not the same color as other gutters. WHen I contacted them, they came out and reinstalled with no charge. I also asked them to move the elbow from the bottom to the top, and still did not charge extra. They stand behind their work,. and Melanie was easy to deal with.

It was a terrible experience. So bad I am trying not to make assumptions about why this company has declined what most would consider a plum job...I scheduled an appointment for a quote for roofing repair or replacement. The company came on Thursday 12/7 to conduct the assessment. We were told we would have a quote by Friday or Saturday. We heard nothing. On Monday, 12/11 we received a call letting us know that the person who was preparing the quote had a death in the family the prior week and that was the cause of the delay. No problem. We were told we would have the quote by Monday or COB on Tuesday. Ok. On Tuesday, 12/12 we called the office around 4:30 pm for a status update. We were greeted by a rude and hostile office manager by the name of Melissa. She questioned why I was calling. She stated that she told us they were working on it, they were busy, and that I just had to wait. She refused to allow any questions to be asked. Finally, the roofer James (perhaps over hearing how rude and hostile Melissa was...to a prospective client) got on the phone. He explained that he was working on the quote and that he wanted to provide us with multiple options for repair and/or replacement given the amount of work that needed to be done. I told him I appreciated it, and questioned whether Melissa was always so rude to customers. He told me that she was overwhelmed. I told him that her attitude and poor treatment of me as a potential customer made me think they didn’t want my business. He assured me otherwise and that he would send the different options for my roof by COB on Wednesday, 12/13. Well...before 8 am on 12/13 Melissa sent an email indicating that it is a big job and that they can’t provide a quote or estimate. The most they would give me was an hourly rate per person if $125, with a comment that they could not fully assess the work until there is “a warming trend” in the winter in NE...laughable. So, if you want roofing work done in the winter in New England Willard Co cannot do it...or at least they don’t service certain people. And if you have a big job, Willard Co will not be able to provide you with a quote other than to tell you it will be $125 per hour per person.

They were very responsive and professional, and thoroughly cleaned up after the work was done. There was an issue with one of the gutters, and they came out quickly to rectify the problem.

The crew was very hard working and fast. Cleaned up after themselves.

The job was finished as expected. The crew is excellent and very approachable. overall. it is great. will hire them again.

I asked for a quote on very small roof repair job. The price they gave me was three times what other people said! I told them their prices were ridiculous, and they sent an email stating that "they do their best to be competitive." That's a laugh! They wanted $1250 for a one-hour job that another licensed, insured roofing company will do for $400. It really bothers me when companies try to rip you off because they think you don't know any better. Where is the integrity? I'm happy I found another A grade Angie's List company to work with instead.

Excellent folks to deal with. They were able to fit me in quickly and completed the job in a day. Top quality work and product in a quick professional manner.

Roofing company sent someone within a few hours of my call (on May 22 or 23) to do an estimate. Company president (Parker Willard) and his son (Parker, Jr.) arrived, and were punctual and personable. They showed me photos of the roof and explained what needed to be done. An estimate was provided by email within about 24 hours. I signed the contract and offered to provide a deposit, later that week. I was told no deposit would be required for this small job. We were told that the work would be scheduled the following week. The work was actually done on June 7 and 8, consistent with a call made to us earlier that week to schedule it. It was a one-man job, for about 1-1/2 days. The worker was pleasant and readily responded to a request to check a couple of shingles he had not done. From what I can see of it, the work was done neatly and appears to be what we asked for. (I can see the finished bay window roof from a window above it.) All in all, we were quite pleased. Note: I put "N/A" on price because I chose not to get other bids, so I do not know if another roofer would have charged more or less than we paid. I went sole-source because of the relatively small amount of work, this company;s A rating, their responsiveness to my call, and limitations on my own schedule that week.

See above - in addition, the left no debris around - I know of cases where after roofing, nails were left around. Not these guys. Highly recommend them

I called them to come out and give me an estimate.I made an appointment,they never called or showed up.

Very easy working with Danny at Willard Co as he was very responsive and was able to give a clear description of what the company was going to do and why and what the cost would be if there was any incidentals during the project.

I called Willard and they came later the same day and cleared the ice away. They were polite and professional and cleaned up after they were done. I plan to call them later in the spring to get our roof protected from more ice dams.
