The crew performed the work in one (long) day. They were very experienced, worked together like a machine, and performed the work with high quality (I'm retired and I watched).

I contacted Willard Co. on Wednesday and on Friday they were on my roof writing up my estimate. Once we came to an agreement they ordered my skylights. They came and installed my skylights in one day on a steep pitched front roof. They did an excellent job of matching up the tiles they had to replace on my roof. Excellent work ethic, professional attitudes and timely service equals another service call if I ever need any of the services they offer.

We called them on Tuesday, and they came that Friday to give us a bid, which was lower than other bids we'd gotten. More importantly, they said that an issue that concerned us did not need to be addressed, when they could have gotten us to do work we didn't need. We gave them the go-ahead the following Thursday, and the Tuesday after that they came with a big crew and did the job in one day. So it was only two weeks from the initial phone call to the completion of the work, and the new roof looks great!

Excellent work. The old asphalt roof was stripped and new shingles installed in three days. Extremely hard working crew. Cleanup of the yard was very good. I am very pleased with the work.

Outstanding responsiveness, work, professionalism, everything - I am very grateful! I called Willard on a Friday, and 1. A very helpful and straightforward person picked up the phone immediately; 2. A gentleman came the next work day to examine the job; 3. Willard emailed me a detailed and comprehensive quote the next day; 4. Willard ordered parts immediately upon receipt of contract and deposit; and 5. Willard returned in one week and did all the work in one day, so neatly and so cleanly the only change I noticed on coming home was that suddenly I had new skylights and repaired roof and siding. The windows and roofing stood up under a downpour without a drop getting through, and I now have amazing solar-powered motorized skylights. Every time I contacted Willard the phone was answered right away, and every time Willard came exactly when scheduled. The contract manager was kind enough to go through the entire job details with me and also to give advice on another structural problem with the house. This after I already had been left hanging by one "top-rated" company and ignored by a second. I am very thankful, and I certainly hope to use Willard for any and all construction needs!

The consultation seemed to go well, but there was never any followup. They never sent an estimate or any other information. My job may have been on the small side, so that may explain why they did not respond. I needed a longer drip edge for my current roof because water runs off behind the gutters and gets into my windows. Also, at least one of my gutters needs repair (is coming off house). He seemed pleasant and courteous, so it was a surprise when I never heard back from him.

Initially, we met with the owner for an estimate to replace our roof. He explained every aspect of the project and made suggestions for the types of materials that should be used. Next, we received a very detailed proposal for the project. After interviewing other companies, we choose this company. After our acceptance of their proposal, the roof and the gutter replacement commenced promptly on the scheduled date. The whole job was done in basically one day. The crew worked efficiently and we were very impressed with the workmanship. Also, our property was left in pristine condition. We would highly recommend this company.

Came by in Mid March, sent a quote promptly, said 3-4 weeks. After a few nags, I gave up on them in mid May.

Scheduling worked well with weather. Owner came and fixed problems causing leaks until the roof could be replaced. Workers were respectful and worked consistently on job until completed. Clean-up was thorough and items moved were replaced properly. There was no damage to any garden or shrub growth. Very pleased with results.

If you have a roof leak, it would be nice to have it repaired as soon as possible, but surely before the next rain or snot storm. I called WILLARD co. because they had GREAT reviews. I told them I needed someone ASAP to come fix my roof leak. I told them I meant business and that I wanted it done NOW and done WELL and I would gladly pay to do so. They sent someone, gave me a quote which I blindly signed ASAP, and then they never showed up. During a 4 week span, they did not call me or email me, not even once. I called them 3 times and left messages and they never responded. They could care less about my "small" job, they only care about big jobs and entire roof replacements. I will NEVER call this company again. So, if you need attention, if you need something done well and ASAP, NEVER call this company.

I got 3 estimates for replacing the roof. Willard was in the middle of them. I picked them because 1. the company has been around for a long time. 2. The person who estimated the job was very good to deal with even though I never ended up meeting him. His name is Danny and he was very responsive and patient in answering questions. I found it easy to deal with their main office. The job was done over 2 days (winter days being shorter). The roof looks good and is guaranteed for 10 years labor with a lifetime on the shingles. The scheduling worked fine and was convenient for us.

Willard Roofing was excellent. Can't say enough about them. They were on time with their estimates and when I wanted the work done, it was right on schedule. The new roof looks great and the clean up was impeccable. I watched them from the window as they cleaned up, they had no idea I was watching. They swept and swept and then used the metal detector for any nails left behind. Byron answered all my questions as did Dan who was very nice and went above and beyond. Dan even came back today, got up on the roof and made sure everything was done as expected. I used this company 23 years ago for my prior roof and never had an issue with the roof or the company, that is why I used them again. I also used them for a replacement window, gutters and a few doors also over the years. Never a problem or an issue. They are very professional and have been in business for years. I also cannot leave off Melissa from the office, she always answered my emails promptly and was very helpful. Definitely would recommend to everyone Joy Christie Dedham, MA

I scheduled a visit with Willard on September 1st to provide an estimate on a deicing system for my roof. Parker Jr. came out to my house and was on time. He spent about an hour looking over my house and explained the Hot Edge system that is an alternative to deicing cables. He asked that I send him the house plans which detailed the measurements on my roof so he could get a better sense of what the install would cost. A week went by and no estimate came back from Parker. I called him to follow-up and I was told it was coming in a day or two. Another week went by and I emailed Parker to follow-up again and still no response. It is now a month later and still no update on when the estimate is coming. I've been completely left in the dark. I have a major issue with companies representing themselves as reliable and then not even providing the courtesy of a follow-up. I spent an hour of my work day meeting with Parker and to have him go radio silent is unacceptable. I strongly suggest you take your business elsewhere. I think how a company carries itself during the first contact with a customer is highly indicative of how they will act later when you need them to perform the job. There are better roofing companies out there.

This is an updated review. After some initial lag time in waiting for our quote, Parker was extremely responsive and professional. Though we haven't decided on what roofing company we will be using they have been great to deal with so far.

Notified us in a timely way when they would come, called us when there was a rain delay and then worked two very long days to get everything done. They were very professional and self-sufficient. They sent a worker on the third day to go over the entire house with us to review any items (gutters needed some paint) that needed fixing. It went very well and we are quite pleased.

The job went well and quickly. Mr. Willard himself came by to give an estimate. Within 3 days he had emailed and also sent us an estimate with a clear and through explanation of what they will be doing. We had other estimates from other roofers but this was the best and most reasonable. They set up an appointment within a week and the job was done. Inspite of their busy schedule they helped us out as promised. They were very professional from start to finish. The crew came on time 7am and stayed all day till 7pm to finish the job. They worked very h****** that HOT day. They checked the condition of the wood after they removed the old roof and as needed replaced the old wood/ facia boards,/ rake boards. They did an great job with the roof. They completed the job and cleaned up t everything. We had a few plants and they worked around it. They are excellent and I will certainly recommend them.

The entire job went very well, including the initial evaluation/proposal, scheduling, removal & installation. The price was very good. Willard used a quality CertainTeed Pro architectural shingle on top, CertainTeed Diamond Deck roof wrap underneath, plus 9 foot wide wrap of this rubberized Winterguard ice and water shield. And more than I ever knew went into flashing layers around the chimney. The 9 foot wide rubberized Winterguard wrap was more coverage than some other bids and was more coverage than the minimum 3 feet that was needed for code compliance. This material seemed like a strong rubber membrane underlayer and runs 9Ft along the front, overlapping the fascia, to help eliminate water damage from ice dams etc. So more than half my roof had this additional layer of protection. All of my immediate neighbors remarked how quickly Byron's team carried out the job (about 5.5 hours) and how the yards, street, etc. was perfectly clean. I think that the Willard Co. team seems to have really good hand-offs from Melanie in the office, Parker doing sales, Danny doing planning & scheduling, Byron running the job, and consulting with Danny and Sergio - another crew boss - if anything comes up. And then when my job needed new fascia-board, they determined that early-on, showed me the situation, gave me options, and they were able to coordinate addition materials delivery with the shingles, without causing delay. I think that 'because they have their system down', they can adapt, operate efficiently, and price competitively - so that's good for the buyer. It was a very solid effort - from the materials to the people - so I was really pleased about the Project and Process.

Forman, Dan, had excellent judgement and experience as a roofer. Advised against removing certain walls of ice, cautioning that doing so could rip off fasciat gluing. No further leaks, all active leaks stopped, water in basement dried up.

I called the Willard Company in Dedham, MA as rated high on Angie's List and a local company due to excessive snow this year, particularly in the east Mass area, finding help dealing was difficult. I was offered assistance within 36 hrs. The 2 men did a great job. No surprises. The price was fair and I didn't feel I was being taken. Follow up and telephone contact was excellent!

Willard arrived on time and with the number of workers promised. The men worked incredibly hard for 5+ hours, removing every bit of snow and some major ice dams. We could not have been happier with their work. We would certainly use them again.
