I contacted the company and setup the apointment via angie list; he replied promptly to every message we sent. The plumber arrived right on time. He was personable and nice. I told him the problem and he got right to work. He found the cause of the leak and was very thorough in his investigation. He said it was a common and pretty simple fix. Unfortunately, he replaced the shower handle incorrectly and I had to fix it myself - luckily it was an easy fix. Also, he had run out of booties so we had to put down our own newspaper on our carpet since it was slushy/snowy outside - not a huge issue. Overall, a good experience and I would recommend this company to friends.

Chris showed up close to the appointed time. He was very professional, and went right to work. He did the job. It's was pretty quick, and went well. Then, he took a look at my basement drain line for the washing machine. He gave me an estimate, and some available times, at which the job could be done. My drain is old and snaking it out no longer helps. It's needs to be replaced. I am traveling quite a bit, but, look forward to having Vaughn Plumbing return, to do more work.

I called to have a new gas dryer hooked up as well as have the old gas line and drain from an old washer/dryer capped and removed. They were very responsive and sent someone out a few days later at a convenient time for me. The plumber was on time, very quick with the work, and actually made a few suggestions as to options I had with regards to the old gas line. He also pointed out a few minor issues with some piping that wasn't up to code. He was very honest and up front, and I felt the cost was very reasonable for the work performed. I would definitely call them again!

Plumber arrived exactly on the day scheduled (arrange through Angie's list) and, which he had to go out to get a replacement faucet, he was able to accomplish the service call within 2 hours. He was informative and friendly.

In my first condo in Brookline, I did some renovations and also was dealing with issues of a home built in 1890. Over those years, I used many plumbers, and had problems along the way, either with work not being adequate or getting hit with unreasonable charges. A friend recommended Vaughan Plumbing, and I have never turned back. The recent job was to cut and reroute some cast iron vent pipes to another part of my roof for a solar install in a very tight attic space. Greg quotes a fair price for this work, and was very accommodating in terms of timing so that his work could be done in conjunction with re-roofing since the roofers would need to patch the spots where the old vents were, and it all had to happen within a certain time period so as not to hold up the solar install. As always, Greg and his crew were great. They show up when they say they will and do quality work. they even painted the new pipes so they wouldn't stand out against the black roof. I have worked with Greg for many years, and he is always fair and has been very responsive when I need help. On rare occasions where he couldn't come out to help with a same-day need, he has been honest about his schedule, and recommended someone else. (Rather than saying he would be there and not showing, as some contractors do). He has never recommended an exorbitant solution when a simple one will do. And every job he has done at my former and current home has effectively solved the problem I was having. I have a home warranty, and sometimes they require me to work with another plumber, but I'm never as happy with the work as when I work with Vaughan Plumbing. I definitely recommend these guys. They have always proven to be trustworthy and to do high-quality work.

Excellent work!! Efficient, punctual, and invested in getting the work done and getting it done right. Greg and Derek have vast experience dealing with boilers of all types and made sure our old boiler and hot water heater passed the MassSave inspection with flying colors and with a carbon monoxide level of zero. Not only would we recommend them to others, but we've already called them back twice about other plumbing issues with our new home.

Our water heater died over the weekend, and I called Greg on Monday, By early Tuesday afternoon, we had a new water heater installed at a reasonable price, and the old one removed. Derek performed the services with the highest level of professionalism and courtesy. He also looked at and adjusted two toilets that were running constantly and made some recommendations for lowering our water bill. Vaughn Plumbing sets the standard for what customer service should be, and I recommend them highly. Vaughn will be my first call the next time we have plumbing or heating problems.

He inspected the leak, replaced the valve, soldered the connections, and it works splendidly. He was quick, efficient, and effective. Couldn't be better, and he was not expensive.

I called Greg Vaughan on a Wednesday and made a time that was good for me on a Friday, i have used him in the past and and as i thought he came through with flying colors. His worker Derick showed up right on time and went through and accessed what he thought it was and got right to work...could not have been more please with the way the job was performed, Good Job Done Derick!!!, he got to the pipe and repaired it in no time and cleaned the entire area up afterwards. Very pleased with the service and the the Very reasonable Price.

As with all of his work, the job was done efficiently, neatly and on time. He is always a professional on the job. When ANYTHING related to a plumbing issue comes up, I know that I just have to get in touch with Greg and I can stop worrying.

Greg is the owner and both he and two of his employees, Chris and Derek, worked on this project. They were knowledgeable, professional, and always helpful. This involved working in tenant's units as well as mine to get the pipes up to the third floor and they were respectful and always left the unit(s) in great shape at the end of each day. i got several quotes and his was not the lowest but he impressed me with his ideas and follow through. Helped me out tremendously by working within the roofer's schedule at the last minute to insure the vent was in securely and properly. A real pleasure to have complete trust in a tradesmen and his work.

I called Greg Vaughan on a Tuesday to check availability for re-plumbing my tub drain which had been backing up due to previous improper plumbing. He was able to come to my house to review the job within a day and completed the job the next. Greg and his team were very knowledgeable and new exactly what needed to be done. Greg was easy to contact and the most responsive contractor I have worked with to this point. He dispatched his crew and his installer was courteous, professional, friendly, and efficient. I would absolutely count on Greg and his team for future plumbing needs for my home and would recommend them for others in a heartbeat. Thanks guys!

went well. was a simple straight forward installation. they did a good job.

We used Vaughan twice for various issues and they were great, so this score is an overall reflection of those instances and the last, which was a concern. Since they fixed a radiator in our kitchen last winter we have had issues with heat rising from the boiler in our basement in a timely fashion. We were about to have our second kid and I was concerned about the upcoming winter with a cold upstairs, so I called to have the boiler looked at. Nobody returned my call. I called a week later and left a second message. I received a return call the next day and was told it was the busy season but that someone could come the next day at 12:30. Nobody showed. I left at 5:00 to pick up my son from school and missed a call from them at that time, although it was unclear if they had arrived at 5:00 or if they were calling to apologize for never showing. I returned the call and left another message saying I had waited all day and hoped to reschedule. They never called back. So we've had the kid, returned home and moved on to another plumber who is due to visit this week. We thought Vaughan did a fine job and was very kind and responsive the first two times we used them, so I would not rule them out. But the busy season seemed to thrust us to the side this time and it was a bit frustrating.

We fired our contractor halfway through an addition project, so needed a new plumber to finish the job. Greg was willing to open a new permit and complete the plumbing. He and his assistant, Chris, were very professional, honest and hard working. They always showed up when they were scheduled, completed the job and had the inspection done in a reasonable timeframe. A couple of things that prompted me to give a rating of B in quality: when they hooked up the dryer, they used duct tape to connect the vent pipe on both ends (this was a different assistant than had previously worked on our house). Also, my husband wasn't crazy about the placement of some of the piping in the garage (under the kitchen) so he had them move it. As for price, we probably could have found someone cheaper, but the reviews on Yelp were good and he knew what he was doing (this was before I joined Angie's List). I did get one other quote that was a fair amount higher. Greg was very responsive and always came within a day or two of us calling. A few months later, he also came on a day's notice to check out our furnace that was acting up.
