This man is the real deal. He has serious skills. No task is too daunting or job too difficult. He was an absolute pro. He set up and installed a difficult 5-tiered floating shelf configuration in my living room. I had a very specific design in mind and he was exacting with his measurements, walked me through the process, and delivered a finished product beyond my expectations. He's just great at what he does and it's clear he loves doing it. He's extremely professional, thoughtful and polite. He's now on my speed dial. I feel like I struck gold and feel so lucky to have found him.

Bruce arrived on time. Started working right away. Very impressed as he is reliable and meticulous. I wished I had known him before. I will definitely recommend him highly.

When deal was purchased, Bruce responded that he was booking work 3 months out. He offered a refund, but after explaining the reason for the purchase – to enable two other purchased deals to proceed: 1) for a plumber to replace a broken exterior water faucet to give access to water for a 2) painter to power wash the house in preparation for repainting the house – Bruce was very accommodating and agreed to do the work late in the afternoon on Mother’s Day! Upon arrival, he thoroughly assessed the situation and very, very carefully removed one small section of the cedar paneling so as to enable undamaged replacement of the section. Plywood was found behind the paneling so an equally-sized section of that was also carefully removed. Subsequent inspection of the reveal resulted in an agreement that further paneling removal might be fruitless as no piping was exposed by this process. Further evaluation led to a recommendation for a possible alternative course of action for the plumber to resolve the needed plumbing repairs. Toward that end he very, very carefully removed a section of a different type of paneling in another part of the cellar to expose the water supply to another exterior faucet for repair. Bruce was painstakingly meticulous throughout the entire process and I believe his advice will prove very beneficial.

The job went "Wonderful" Bruce/Thank You Handyman was truly amazing. He had no idea what he was getting into until he arrived at my home and accessed the work. It was a very difficult area to have to build this hatch door. Bruce/Thank You Handyman came in and looked at the work needed to be done and did the job with no difficulty. We went to Lowe's and purchased the supplies. We came back and Bruce/Thank You Handyman wasted no time. He was accurate in his idea/ideas for the repairs and did the job quickly and efficiently. I can't say enough great things regarding Bruce/Thank You Handyman I am so happy with the end results. As I stated previously, Bruce/Thank You Handyman is an amazing person with the talent, ability and knowledge wrapped up in one. Great I would definitely use him again.

I had approximately 30 items of finish work, that my previous carpenter had failed to complete, during a major renovation. It included lots of painstaking, detail work such as intricate stairway molding, and rehanging of 135 year old doors, in less than plumb doorways. Bruce arrived right on time. We took 30 minutes or so to go over all of the details of the work, and his plan for completing it. He started the job, and worked steadily for 5 days, completing the project just as agreed. His work was meticulous and our whole house looked fantastic when he was finished.

Great service. The cost of the new screen was a but surprising (a bit higher than I would have thought given that the materials don't cost much) but overall we were very satisfied.

I messaged Bruce about getting two exterior doors installed. Talked on the phone about front doors to my house to be replaced. He gets to my house and mentions that he doesn't do front doors. Waste of my time.

He gave me advice on other things that I want to be done in the house: what he could on the next visit, what I could do easily myself, and what I need to have done by a specialist (window replacement). Bruce did a great job. He really cared about doing whatever was necessary to weatherize my doors and windows properly. He approached the work thoughtfully, skillfully and intelligently. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to my friends as a great handyman.

Bruce was great to work with. He was a prompt and clear communicator. He was a little late to our meeting time, but he called ahead to let me know he was running late and it did not affect the over time (2 hours) he had to devote to the project. He was very thorough in completing the task and was focused on doing the job completely and correctly. After the hinge screws were replaced and the door no longer was hitting the floor, the alignment of the door was now off and the top of the door was touching the doorway and could not be closed. Also, two deadbolts and doorknob were no longer aligned to latch properly. He resolved all these issues meticulously by sanding the top of the door until it cleared the opening, and using a chisel to adjust the deadbolt and doorknob openings until they latched properly. Thanks Bruce for your great work!

Could not have been more helpful and efficient. Did not mind working around my over friendly dogs. Stayed longer than contracted for (Angie's List special offer) and refused additional pay. Figured out a way to mount an Oriental rug on the wall. Very professional and pleasant man. I will call him again for future tasks.

Bruce was extremely thorough and professional. He provided really helpful comments on how to improve energy expenses at no cost or very low cost as well as made a thorough assessment of what he could fix that would improve heat retention in the house. The work he did was very well done.

We made the appointment long before we knew that New England would still be cleaning up from a big storm. Bruce telephoned a couple of times to confirm that we wanted to proceed on as scheduled, and that the driveway would be clear so he could get his truck off the road. He is a perfectionist who spend a long time getting the weather stripping just right, and adjusting the latch plate on our entry door so that both bolts engaged properly. He installed high-quality weather stripping on two doors into the garage. He looked at our windows and at the pull-down stairs to our attic and made helpful suggestions.

Thoughtful approach. On time, reasonably priced. Good to deal with. Knows old houses well.

I purchased the $169 Angie's Deal of the Day for insulation of up to 10 windows and 2 exterior doors. Bruce responded immediately to my email to set up an appointment and also followed up with a phone call or two with 3 possible dates. We set a date for a 2pm appt. At 1pm Bruce called and said he would be 1 hour late and would that work for me. I said yes and he arrived at 3pm. He took the time to carefully assess the work to be done, determined that only 1 door had air leaking but said that if I did find that the other door was leaking air he would return to fix it. We realized that there were 4 additional windows to be caulked for which he charged an additional $40. He also spent quite a bit of time assessing the almost 100 year old lock on the front door which was not working properly and he did fix that as well. He also spent time assessing, discussing and advising me on more work that I would like to have done on the house. He discussed the present job before he started and as he was doing it to make sure it was what I wanted. Bruce was at my home for 3 hours. I found Bruce to be a very nice person, competent, knowledgeable, efficient and fair. I will definitely hire him in the future for much more work to be done. It was very important to me to find a person I could talk to about the work to be done.

He refused to assist. I asked for this to be possibly shrink-wrapped, but he declared it was not a feasible way to go. He was firm but diplomatic. He could have come out and could have helped, but didn't.

Do you know how some folks do a job and others seem to breathe it? This guy breathes winterization. Excellent service and professionalism all the way around. If you listen carefully, you'll hear the enthusiasm he carries for his work in his voice. Bruce showed up on time and immediately got to work, installing sweeps, caulk, and trim where necessary, He went way beyond his scope of duty when he reattached some 4" door molding that I had managed to yank off my patio door, but I suspect that's just the way he is. He gave me many suggestion on how I could cut my heating costs and even keep it cooler during winter. I'll be paid back many times over in the months and years ahead. My recommendation? Hire him.

I saw an Angie's List offer for weatherizing up to 10 windows. So I called Bruce and he came over to do a free estimate because my windows are quite large and many. Even though I had many windows Bruce was honest and let me know what he could and couldn't do and what to expect. I really appreciated that and he stuck to the deal price even though I had more than 10 windows. I also had some really worn out tub and shower caulking and asked him for an estimate as well. Bruce was great -- personable and his caulking jobs on the windows and the tub/shower were done very well. Bruce was very honest and forthright and patient. He explained everything in a very detailed manner. But what was really awesome was that he came up with many other ideas for keeping my apartment warm over the winter. He recommended turning on all my ceiling fans because he noticed that it was 10 degrees warmer near the top of the windows than at floor level. We did an experiment and indeed my forced air heater shut off shortly after i turned on my ceiling fans. This will likely result in significant heating savings. He also recommended curtains which will help keep the cold out of my house and offered to install the curtains as part of the winterization project. As a bonus he even checked out my smoke and carbon monoxide alarms because they were chirping at times. He found out they were hardwired and needed replacing by a professional fire alarm installation company due to age. I plan to call Bruce anytime I have issues and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone I know.
