Description of Work: I called because I heard a sound from the cold air return from my central A/C system. They sent someone out and he replaced the filter which seems to have fixed the problem. It was, of course, no charge since they had done the maintenance on it.

Description of Work: I've used McFarlane off and on for years. They are pricy on their oil deliveries, but you can not beat their service department. I've used other companies for service, and some of them are in and out of the house in 10-15 minutes. MacFarlane's service guys are great -- they take the time to make sure that everything is checked and working -- they're generally at my house for over an hour (sometimes more) for an annual inspection (and I'm NOT paying them hourly). I've also used them to replace a hot water heater -- and again their service guys are the best!! | |People in the office are great too -- when they give you a time/date for service, yhey show up when they say they will.

Description of Work: We use them for heating oil and have a contract with them for service. They seem to be attentive. Was impressed to get oil delivery immediately after a snow storm with deep snow in the yard at the break of dawn or earlier, like 6 am. This was just a routine delivery, not emergency. |Some confusion over pricing at points, like capping for the season.

Description of Work: I contacted MacFarlane because I was looking for a proposal on replacing my heating system. Jim Denham came on March 23 and seemed to do a thorough professional evaluation. More than a week later I called looking for the estimate. He said he would get it to me at the beginning of the following week. It is now the end of the following week (4/8) and I still have not received anything from him. Lost two weeks waiting. Very unprofessional.
