L & L Express Cleaning

We purchased a Groupon to clean 36 windows in August 2012. Multiple attempts to contact to schedule appointment before winter met with no reply. An appointment was finally scheduled for April 2013. The 1 pm Monday appointment was a no show, and after leaving 2 voicemails, L&L showed up at 4pm claiming they got lost. They inspected house and wanted extra for, glass doors, larger windows, window sills, screen and decorative grill removal - it appeared everything was an extra which collectively would more than triple the cost. As the windows were not "tilt out" they claimed they did not have equipment to clean second floor and would need to reschedule the next day, Tuesday at 1pm and left taking the Groupon coupon. On Tuesday L&L did not show and after 5 attempts to contact failed both to confirm the appointment that morning and after the 1pm no-show(leaving a voicemail each time) I received a call around 5pm saying that they did not come because of weather - it would have been nice to receive a call in the morning to that effect or reply to morning call to confirm. We rescheduled for Wednesday at 1pm and needless to say, they did not show and did not reply to voicemails left every hour after 1pm. That evening we contacted Groupon and were advised the coupon had been submitted for payment. We advised Groupon of non performance and received a full refund. KUDOs to Groupon. The time wasted dealing with L&L and the inconvenience and interruption of taking time off work to be onsite waiting for a non show, was very frustrating. I would advise anyone purchasing a Groupon to checkout the contractor on Angie's List first - had I done so and seen this firm's "F" rating we would have saved a lot of time and aggregation!

Bad experience from start to finish. The company was difficult to contact (at least 6 attempts) but showed up on time when an appointment was finally set. They only wiped the glass (not the frames or screens) of the easy-to-clean tilt-in windows from inside the house and completely skipped the exterior of any window that would have required a ladder or extension to clean. Even on the windows they did clean, they left streaks and smeared sticker residue. They were paid for additional windows above the number included with the Groupon but left before the work was finished. A significant number of windows and doors were skipped, not just one or two. Multiple attempts to contact the company to schedule a time to finish the work have gone unanswered. I am very disappointed with the quality of the cleaning as well as the dishonesty of the company by taking money for windows they clearly did not clean. Would not recommend using this company under any circumstances.
