Description of Work: My automatic garage door stopped working after I thought I blew a fuse. After unsuccessfully trying to reset the breaker myself, I called John Vespa based on reviews and ratings on Angie's List and fact that their office was in Dedham, fairly close to my town. John's son,came, not only reset the breaker, but showed me how to do it. I had also sliced through an expensive outdoor extension cord and he was able to put a new cap on it so I did not have to buy a new cord. He was very helpful and patient with all of my questions and I would definitely call this company for any future electrical needs.

Description of Work: I've had the Vespa family do a couple of electrical jobs for me. First, the middle son replaced a broken ceiling fan, installed new thermostat, and replaced broken dimmer. He did a great job, was meticulous, fast, and great at explaining what he was doing. Also helped me prepare in advance to have available a recommended thermostat, so there were no extra costs or wasted time in getting parts. Based on that great experience called again to rewire the hinky set up in the garage. This time the eldest son, Phil, and the youngest, Eric, came out. Such great guys. Updated the wiring and figured out what was wrong with the garage door, which turned out not to be electrical but a dead sensor issue. They took care of that as well, making clear in advance the exact cost of the extra part and labor, but otherwise kept to the estimate. John, the father, came out to the job to deliver the sensors and could not have been more friendly and helpful. I will definitely use them again. Good honest family business.

Description of Work: So far, this time and other times, he has installed hallway light fixtures, installed new step lights and installed new outlet boxes. |We used Phil, and his work has always been excellent at our home. |He has a very good eye in placing something evenly.

Description of Work: They put in a new electric baseboard heater in the living room and bathroom with thermostats. They also got me a new ceiling light for a kitchen and installed it. They also took away the old fixtures.

Description of Work: Work was completed in a timely fashion. I would have preferred if quoting and pricing were itemized. Some items discussed during estimate walk-through were not included in initial quote. Some unexpected additional work needed to be done and it was not always made clear that there would be an additional cost or what that cost would be. Guys were friendly, cleaned up after themselves, decent work.

Description of Work: An electrical baseboard heater was replaced in my kitchen. The service required two calls, one for diagnostics, and one for replacement. Service was prompt, and efficient.

Description of Work: I had an ongoing problem with my circuit breakers. Two previous electricians couldn't solve the problem but Vespa figured it out immediately and fixed it. They were professional and very friendly and I would use them again and would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Light in hall way was in need of repair and it was fixed without any complications and added dialogue about what should, would & could be done, yadda, yadda yadda. Also fixed my kitchen light over the sink that I thought was dead but it was fixed and working in no time. Everything was great and I truly appreciate being able to call a company I've never used before and being treated so well. Angie's List really put my mind at ease about calling someone new and the results were way above my expectations! Thank you:)

Description of Work: The kitchen light in the middle of the table is on a track and it stopped working on Christmas eve. I called a few days later and John came right over. We both thought it would be a short easy job, but he ended up having to rewire the connection to the track. Nice guy, does good work, I would recommend him.

Description of Work: Excellent responsiveness from John. Very professional. Extremely affable. I had a questionable circuit that had to be run to an outside light. He also upgraded to code. He did a great job.
