John returned my call promptly and set up a visit to do an estimate. The work was performed in 1 day within a week after the estimate was completed. Although it was not easy work, the job was done right and any mess was cleaned up before John and his assistant left for the day. John was very professional in explaining what he was doing and was a pleasure to work with.

In both cases he was prompt, knowledgeable, & charming. In one case, we decided not to do the work & the other we went with another highly recommended electrician who was less expensive, but I would not hesitate to call him for any complicated project or one in which I wanted to be sure of the utmost skill. He inspires great confidence & is an exceptionally pleasant person.

John was very professional and accommodating from beginning to end. He came with an assistant and they were able to complete the job in one day. They used drop cloths and everything was very clean when I returned from work. They needed to open the walls in a few places due to the horizontal studs/fire stops but they patched things up nicely. Everything is working great and we are very pleased. We plan to use him again when we do some work on the bathroom. The final price was exactly what was quoted and John's price was $460 less than the quote we got from another electrician.

John was responsive, on time, polite, intelligent and effective from start to finish. He talked things over in a collaborative way, called back in a timely manner, showed up exactly when he said he would and was way under the price of a larger company who also gave me an estimate. I would absolutely use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone. The work was more difficult than he expected because of the kind of wall he had to drill through, but he dealt with it and did a great job.

John responded to our initial call within two days, and was very clear about his hourly rate and how long he thought the job might take. He gave us an appointment and arrived promptly. He was friendly, efficient, and straightforward. We appreciated his effort to finish the work in an hour so as to avoid charging us for a second hour.

They were fabulous. John is the consummate professional. What really impressed me is that he had total confidence that he could do a couple things that our electrician of two years ago said couldn't be done, and the other competing electrician thought it might be a problem. Also, he made suggestions regarding what we wanted to do that improved on the result. For instance, where we had a pull-chain before, he suggested installing a switch and suggested installing a timer that is just the size of a dimmer switch for our exterior porch light. How brilliant! Every day, when we come home in the dark, the light is on and waiting for us. What's also worth telling is that his people made excellent decisions regarding where to make holes in the walls for wires and made excellent, smooth patches upon completing the work.

John was terrific to work with. He set up an estimate appointment within a week of my calling him. He provided us with a hard estimate and stuck to it, other than a few additional things not included in the original quote (the others we had come assess the work were not willing to give hard estimates). He worked around our schedule to get the work done, and once he came he and his crew (2 other workers) were efficient and did everything in two days. John and his crew were easy to communicate with, very friendly and courteous. The work included interacting with 3 different clients in our 3-unit building and they were flexible in managing all of us. They were also fairly good at cleaning up after themselves, particularly inside the units where they swept and mopped, not as well in the public spaces (i.e., stairwells). He also advised us on things to take care of in the future regarding some of the old & tangled wiring in our building. I would definitely hire John Vespa again.

John was prompt and knowledgeable, taking our family situation into account as he advised us on what to upgrade and replace. (We have two young, active, boys.) He discovered several problems that were quite serious that our home inspector had not found, and gave us several options on how to proceed, from bare bones economical to fancy expensive. The actual work was done partially by John and partially by two employees. He fit us into his schedule very quickly, and we felt his work was excellent.

John was very professional and took the time to explain a lot of what he was doing. He also cleaned up after himself. I would hire him again.

The project took a day and a half, and the crew was extremely polite, timely, efficient, and cleaned up nicely. Some of the installs were not easy, and required some creativity on the crew's part. Nice job all around!

We had a very good experience. John came when he said, did the work in the time estimated, cleaned the place up after the work was done, and was careful about my pets. Everything seems to work very well. The price was similar to another estimate. He was straightforward and easy to deal with.

He kept it a simple job, though a less scrupulous or competent contractor could easily have convinced me otherwise. He charged us the minimum for a service call.

John and his crew arrived early and worked quickly and efficiently. They tested all of the outlets and lighting fixtures in the house and identified which circuit breaker does what and where. They also thoroughly cleaned up after themselves.

John was great. We had a misunderstanding about the original time that he would come and he went out of his way to come back the evening of the same day. The repair was even more minor than I realized. He charged me the minimum. I would definitely hire him again.

After a little phone tag, I was able to set up an appointment for an estimate fairly quick. John seemed to know what he was talking about and was very professional and courteous, but unfortunately his price was a little high. He also informed me that it might be a month before he would be available to do the job; bad for me since I needed the work done fairly soon, but I was impressed with how backed up he was - a busy electrician is a GOOD electrician - that means that the customers demand his services!

Was the low bidder but did a first-class job, very detailed in putting things where requested and laying out cables neatly in the attic and basement, left the place very neat and clean, minimal damage to walls and patched them neatly, fairly accommodating to my schedule.

He was on time and had good manners. He knew exactly what needed to be done.
