John Vespa Electrical Contractor LLC

The lighting in our cellar family room has always been inadequate and after the recent flooding we decided to upgrade the room including the lighting. We contacted 3 electrical contractors from Angie's list and got 2 excellent responses. Mr. Vespa was the most thorough response and the least costly as well. He came on time and his son stayed to complete the work. He was thorough, neat and polite, responding to our questions in a professional manner. The work was done on time and within his estimated cost. Mr. Vespa followed up with a telephone call to make sure we were satisfied. We are very happy with the result, and would use him again.

John and his team were professional, trustworthy, dependable, and responsive. Every time I contacted John regarding my estimate and to schedule work, he returned my call quickly and worked with me on scheduling. He and his team had a positive, can do attitude and did excellent work. It felt like Christmas when I arrived home and all the work was complete and done perfectly. Our bathroom exhaust fan was not working. I feared it would be a huge expense to fix, but John's team diagnosed the issue as a simple fix with a minimal charge. They even added a few extras at no additional charge. The whole experience was very positive.

My experience was excellent. He was very professional and did quality work. I plan to use him again.

There was a lot of work, and sometimes fixtures that we ordered did not arrive on time and John was always so accommodating working around our schedule. He and his crew are very pleasant to work with and that is so important, escpecially on a big job. He always came when he promised to come, and his work is first class. I would recommend him to anyone.

Every single thing went well. The woman in the office who coordinated the appointments was super nice and helpful. The two guys (one was Phil) who showed up were very professional, polite, communicative, and meticulous. They were very careful and worked diligently. They patched a hole left by the consolidation of the two thermostats and took great care in everything they did, including cleaning up. A lead guy (maybe John?) stopped by to look at their work. Top notch operation. It took approximately two hours. I've used other electrical contractors before and John Vespa is by far the best.

I left a voicemail and got a call back within 20 minutes. I explained what I was looking for, and was told John could come by in an hour. He was on time, efficient and professional. He explained what he was doing and answered my questions clearly.

circuit contained 5 lights (two outside) and 3 others in 2 different rooms involving a total of 13 sockets. John fixed the problem and for some but not all of the switches and then tested the remaining sockets after to discover another blown socket. He was professional, investigative, personable and figured out a complicated problem of an poorly set up system in two hours.

The outside light -which was new-proved problematic. John detected the problem and solved it effectively. We love that new light.

He was a very pleasant person to work with. Last year I did not have the light fixtures I wanted and now I still want the others done. So I am going to go ahead and pay him to do it. He works with 2 other people; one of them is his son. I was satisfied with the service that he provided. Nothing has fallen down. I paid him $1500. He changed or added 6 or 7 light fixtures. He put in 4 recessed lights and probably changed fixtures for 4 other things. There were very minor things that I was unsatisfied with. One outlet was not fixed the way I wanted it but I don?t really care that much. The things were installed correctly. I had no problems with him at all. I think I will be using him again.

It is a total change in the experience when we come home. They were the smoothest people we dealt with. We were happy with the results. He came out and gave us an estimate. We had been using another electrician who gave us an outrageous estimate. The last work done by our previous electrician was overpriced so that?s why I went with Jonh?s Vespa Electrical this time. I have already contacted him for a different work that needs to be done in the next week.

Scheduled appointment promptly, confirmed appointment, arrived on time, courteous, professional. He's the guy I will call with any electrical work needed in the future.

Last year we hired an electrician to do the same job, but I made them stop midway thru because they said they needed to cut holes in our newly painted walls - that would then require re-painting of the entire room. The previous electrician assured me that there was no other way to do it. John came in, installed all the lighting and no holes were made except for one small one that was stategically placed so the shelving would cover it. Before they left the ensured both rooms that they worked in were left very clean. They did a great job!!!

The work was superb, and John was willing to work with us as our schedule kept changing. We added on a number of additional items as the job went on, and they did great work. They paid attention to detail, made helpful suggestions, and did a lot of little things that made our experience with them a terrific one.

In conducting the visit for the estimate John was professional and personable. He explained what he would have to do to get the job done as well as the code requirements for the new job and repairing the outdoor outlet. We had some difficulty scheduling the work since both of our schedules were full--but John was flexible and did his best to complete the work as soon as he was able. On the scheduled day, his sons arrived on time. They were professional, gone to work quickly, and did an excellent job. They showed me how they were going to run the new wire in the basement and answered all of my questions. Not only did they do a good job completing the electrical work they also dealt with me as a customer with a professionalism that is often missing in today's market!

John has done quite a bit of work on my condo (replaced circuit breaker, all new switches/outlets (they were all shorting), installed overhead lights throughout condo, installed phone and cable jacks throughout condo). Each time I call he is very responsive. He also responded for a same day call to a friend's home where lights and AC went out. They thought they would need to replace the entire circuit breaker system bc of its age. John found out it was only a lose wire behind the unit which saved them a lot of work and money. John's son was even kind enough to help them with their DVR which they had not been able to figure out. I've always been very happy with John's work and he has a new customer with my friends because they were thrilled with their work.

I called John to get an estimate and he told me that he would not be able to come out for another two weeks, however I explained everything over the phone and he gave me a rough estimate. He returned my phone call in a timely manner, however he could not actually come out for a while. Because he could not physically come out I could not guess if he was competitive or not.

Our experience with John was excellent. He responded promptly to all our calls. He worked to our schedule and always was on time both for our meetings to discuss the work and when the work was performed. He dealt smoothly with several unanticipated issues (they could only be uncovered after exploring the beams above the ceiling). Finally the work he did was of high quality and each day the house was left in a clean and usable condition even if they were returning the next day.

John is very professional and timely in performing all the things that needed to be done.

He may be a good electrician...but anyone who makes it difficult for the consumer to even have him come out and look at the job by forcing one to take time off from work to be there only on a Friday and only before 5:00 PM is either too busy and his office should say so, or he doesn?t understand who?s the vendor and who?s the customer...and that can be an indicator of how the job might go. Sorry, we won?t hire any prima donnas.

Good. The wiring was old and parts visibly fried (not good) but fortunately it was replaced in time. Actually, it went so well that I'm having him come back soon to do a big yet necessary project in the rental unit.

We asked Mr. Vespa to try to take care of this as quickly as possible because we were told it is dangerous not to have the house grounded. He came the next day. He completed the work and did an excellent job.

I left a message on Monday and they called me back within a couple hours to let me know that they didn't cover my area. I was very appreciative that they called back to tell me and didn't leave me hanging.
