John was professional and helpful while giving the the estimate and performing the work. He got the estimate to us promptly after seeing the job, and the worked was scheduled with a quick turnaround time after we accepted the estimate.The quality of the work was excellent, as the way in which the line and conduit were run was well done and the plug delivers the proper amount of electrical current.

TWICE THE OFFICE CALLED TO CONFIRM THE APPOINTMENT AND TELL ME THE HOURLY FEE WHICH WAS APPRECIATED. I HAD AN OLD EXHAUST FAN THAT I WANTED REPLACED AND THE OLD ONE REMOVED. THE ELECTRICIAN TOLD ME THE EXHAUST FAN UNIT WAS A VERY OLD MODEL AND SIZE AND PROBABLY COULD NOT BE REPLACED. HE WAS GOING TO CHECK WITH A SOURCE TO SEE IF A FAN COULD BE LOCATED., i NEVER DID HEAR BACK FROM THE ELECTRICIAN CONCERNING THE FAN. HE INSTALLED A NEW DOORBELL BEFORE HE LEFT. BASICALLY, THE PROBLEM I HAD WITH THE FAN WAS UNSOLVED. I RECENTLY HAD ANOTHER SERVICE PERSON REMOVE THE OLD FAN, OUTSIDE VENT, FILL IN THE HOLE, RE=PLASTER THE INSIDE SPACE AND INSTALL AN OVER THE RANGE VENTILATION SYSTEM WITH LIGHTING. SO, OVER A YEAR LATER THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED, BUT NOT BY THE ANGIE'S LIST ELECTRICIAN.

From start to finish the installation went very well. The contractor installed 4 LED resessed ceiling lights and replaced switch for them with a dimmer switch. The holes that were used for the wiring runs were barley noticeable and were left in great shape to almost paint right over. Great job.

Responded immediately to my phone call and scheduled an appointent to meet me at my place to give me an estimate. John arrived at the appointed time. He quickly grasped what I wanted done and provided me with an honest apprisal of the problems that might be encountered in installing the fans but also provided solutions as to how he would handle the situation. After the initial visit, John followed up with an e-mail by the end of the week detailing the quote for the job and itemizing the performance of the job and the expected schedule of payments. The job was started on the day specified and completed on schedule. I was impressed by the crew's attention to detail. At one point, one of the lights was in the radius of one of the celing fans (as per my specifications) but one of the crew members called me to make draw this to my attention and changed the location of the lights when I agreed with him that its placement was not optimal. This was one of the smoothest home-improvement projects I have ever undertaken, and I recommend John Vespa and his crew very highly.

When turning on a flatscreen TV, a whole circuit in the house went out. As I am somewhat familiar with house wiring, I assumed a breaker had tripped in the main electrical panel. However, I did not find any tripped breaker. I then replaced (myself) the outlet that the TV was plugged into (turning off the electricity first of course) but that did not fix the problem. Even more troubling was that there were some outlets on the faulty circuit which were still working. So time to call in an expert. I selected John Vespa based on his reviews on Angie's List not knowing anyone else to call. John came promptly based on an agreed time and correctly identified that there was an "open neutral wire" somewhere. I subsequently learned that this is a most difficult (and time consuming) problem to troubleshoot because the open wire could be anywhere in the circuit and every connection (light fixture, outlet, etc.) needed to be checked. John had to figure out where the wires were routed and finally found that the "open neutral" was in a ceiling fan junction box! Problem solved! Since so may devices were on this circuit I had John split the circuit and each part now has a separate breaker in the panel. I am so pleased with the professionalism shown that I will use John Vespa exclusively in the future for all my electrical needs. I was pleased with the price tag as well!

They told me what needed done and what didn't. The price was very reasonable. They were here 2 and a half hours and the charge included equipment. They were here exactly when they were supposed to be. They have excellent social skills, make great eye contact, and are very professional. They are also great listeners and I am very comfortable around them. I like the way that they market themselves. They know their stuff on the button. They are pleasant to work with and are very friendly. They are pleasant, courteous, and pleasurable to have around. They really went the extra mile and are very accommodating. They wanted to help in every way that they could and I would recommend this company to absolutely anyone.

Company was recommended by someone that I trust, so I called for an estimate. Decided to schedule work. Work was completed.

It went very well. John responded quickly, had great advice/diagnostics over the phone, and was able to come out quickly. Through our discussion John was able to determine that it was not an emergency, but I got the sense that he would have squeezed me in if it had been necessary. He arrived on time as scheduled, was friendly, informative, and efficient. He also had lots of low-key advice on various questions I had, when he could have easily played up the importance of repairs that HAD to be done immediately. Bottom line: John was great. I got the work I needed done, quickly and professionally, for a fair price. I will definitely use John in the future.

Dan Vespa did terrific work. He was right on time both days. A 50" flat screen was installed over a built-in bookcase, with new coax and a power outlet installed behind the TV. Placement is perfect, no wires visible, and was installed on a plaster wall. Dan also resolved a problem with a loose Verizon cable in the basement when I lost some channels. HIGHLY recommend having a pro like Dan install your flat screen. New light fixtures were also installed, including an outdoor flood. An old light switch and old power outlets were replaced. Could not be more pleased with his work. These guys work as if they are working on their own home....no short cuts. Cleaned up and left no mess. Very pleased, and will definitely use again! John Vespa returned my call the same day I placed it. He quoted me an acceptable price range over the phone and said he would write up a work order and that it would be about 2 weeks before he would come if I was not in a hurry. Two weeks later, there was a call in the morning, he had time that day if I was available. Two workers came at the appointed time. They worked quickly and efficiently. The job was completed in an hour and a half. They demonstrated that the vent was working properly, cleaned up afterwards, and were very polite and pleasant. They even noticed a semi-flat tire on my car and brought it to my attention. The price for the work was the low end of the price range. The whole experience was positive from start to finish and I would definitely call them again.

John was prompt with stopping by a providing an estimate. He also responded quickly to all emails. He showed up promptly, reviewed the work to be done, and finished it quickly and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. All work was performed to specifications and is properly functioning. If you are looking for an electrician, John is your man!

Very happy with the work done. John made an initial visit to spec-out what needed to be done. Scheduled the work & rec'd a confirm call. John arrived on time and did everything on the list. Hired him because he noticed a wire that should not have been where it was; no other electrician noticed that situation. Finished the work within a reasonable timeframe & took care of securing the town permit.

John and his assistant are very professional and don't waste time. Everything works well and I was happy with their efficiency and cleanliness. Finula, who schedules appointments for him, was also very good.

I called John's number in the morning and he arrived in the afternoon to do the work. I was amazed at his punctuality, friendliness and competence. I was told before he arrived that he charged $149 for the first hour and $99 for each hour thereafter.. ..I have recommended him to friends.

I called John on a Friday and got a call back the same day to let me know they would be calling back on Monday to schedule the job. John was very prompt and arrived right on time. I've read a lot of reviews on John and everything I have read is true. John is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I will use John for all my electrical needs going forward.

It was great. Being safety minded they did cover a small open wired space ( 4 inches) with a temporary cover that I can change if I need to. They did not have anything that matched the space and surrounding surface material . They were polite, efficient, and very knowlegable. John Vespa did not do the work himself this time but did send a professional iin his place. They allowed and helped me to clean the space behind the heaters before reinstalling them. Because the heaters had been originally installed upside down there was a stack of dust and plaster that remained after the original bogus installatiion and we cleaned this all out. They were GREAT! The heaters look terrific; they were an eyesore before. They also work better and I was finally able to use the livingroom heater because the two heaters were finally attached correctly besides turning them rightside up.I no longer needed to use a space heater in that room. Lucky this winter had not been a bad one. The reason I waited so long to call John Vespa is that I had been trying to get the part that I thought I needed because I thought one of the living room heaters was broken when it was just that the 2 heaters had been incorrectly attached.

Problem: one circuit was down. Called John Vespa, LMAM, he returned my call in good time same day. Made arrangements for service, he came exactly on time. He was personably and went right to work checking/testing panel box, inside service lines, and outlets. He found the one original (1964) outlet that was bad and replaced it. Work was neat, well done, and fairly priced. Would absolutely hire him again.

John was very good in explaining the condition of the old panel and was very quick in providing a quote. He scheduled an appointment to replace the breaker panel, and installed the outside spot light right the day before the appointment. He arrived right on time with his assistant. They told the extra time to clean up some of the sloppy work left over by a few other electricans over the 30 years that this house existed. He spent the time making sure that all of the breakers were labeled properly. The job came out perfect.

As I noted above, everything, from making a mutually agreeable appointment, to the completion of his work went without any problems.

Two workers arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. The lead electrician was friendly and professional. They were in and out in exactly two hours. Before they left he explained everything they did and walked me through the job. It ended up being faster and less expensive than I was quoted over the phone. This was a totally satisfactory experience from first call to completed job.

.He kept me informed every step of the way during the job. He was very clean and his workers were very polite. The workers kept me informed about what they were going to do and were very courteous. The price seemed very reasonable even thought I didn't get other estimates.

Called to schedule an Estimate on Wednesday, they called back and left a message Thursday. They are fully booked until January! I appreciate the heads up, and calling back in a short time - enough to leave a positive report :)
