No show, and no communication from them about it. So, a frustrating experience. I called a week in advance, left a message which they called back for a few hours later, and I was able to easily make an appointment. Bathtub drain clog that needed to be snaked, nothing crazy. I offered to be available any time during the week and asked them when would work best for their schedule, and they chose the following Monday afternoon. The day of the appointment rolls around, nobody comes within the 2 hour window. At the end of the two hours, I called the number here on Angie's List, as well as both numbers listed on their own website, which went straight to voicemail. I left more than one message over the next couple hours as well, asking what was up, when I could expect them, left my number and asked for a call back, and got nothing. That was two days ago and I still haven't heard from them, no explanation, no apology, no attempt to reschedule, nothing. I know my voicemail isn't full since I've had other messages (from the company I hired instead when they didn't show) just fine, and I've had my phone on and with me the whole time besides, so it's not a matter of being unable to call me. It's also not a matter of not having my number, since not only did they call me back the first time, my number is now in multiple voicemails that I left them. At the end of the evening, I called Drain Remedy in Stoughton instead, who picked up instantly and made an appointment for the next day, which they kept.

They made a difficult situation very easy. They were the lowest estimate and they did the job very professionally and quickly. I had them jet this sewer line a few years ago, and but had problems again. It turned out the pipe in the street was literally crushed. They were excellent!

It is the second time we are working with this company. They again, very professionally solved our problem. A different problem than the previous one. Very prompt. Very reasonably priced. Would hire them again for sure.

The sign on their trucks say "Hercules to the Rescue" and truer words were never spoken. Let me explain. Sewerage began backing up in my cellar which I originally believed was a blockage which I attempted to clear my self and then hired a drain cleaning company. Both did not work so in exasperation I contacted Hercules who came the next day, diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate. I excepted their proposal and two days later they arrived and replaced the sewer pipe from my home to the street. They also diagnosed that the breakage most likely occurred during Town DPW repair of a neighbors water pipe this past Fall. I am now in the process of filing a claim for reimbursement but thank God for Hercules Drain who truly did come to the rescue.

Our kitchen sink drain was clogged, with standing water, It was a Saturday, so most plumbers ere not available. I tried calling Hercules through the Angie's List number, but it wasn't picked up, so I looked them up online. That number worked, and I and was told someone could show up within an hour. I asked about the cost, and was told it would be $150-225. The fellow arrived in about 30 minutes, and was very friendly and helpful. He found the cleanout access under the sink. I had just started taking out the items from the cabinet, but he said it wasn't necessary to empty it, just to remove a few items near the cleanout. He asked for a plastic trash bag (I brought two, just in case the first leaked), positioned it, and carefully opened the cleanout so the water drained into the bag. Then he snaked the drain with what looked like a cable device attached to a power drill. Within a few minutes he broke through the clog. He ran the device for another minute or so, and then started putting things away. He finished by carefully tightening the cleanout, and I noticed him using a rag to dab at some areas in the cabinet. The total time working was around 15-20 minutes, and he charged me $225 -- I used the current 5% off Angie's List coupon without a problem to make the final cost $213.75. I was grateful to have the drain unclogged on short notice on a weekend, but I have to wonder: since this was a fairly quick, uncomplicated job, under what circumstances would the charge be $150? I can't help but suspect that Hercules almost always charges $225, and I was given the range on the phone to make it seem like it could be less. The other annoyance is that, after he left, I noticed some dots of brown gunk had been spattered all around inside the cabinet, apparently from the spinning cable device. Perhaps that's what he had tried wiping with the rag? I had to take everything out and wipe it down, and then I found there was also a little water on the cabinet floor, including under the lining. It would have been better to take a couple of minutes to remove everything in advance.

They came out to scope the line to give me an estimate, and charged me $450 to do so. They then sent an estimate for the relining, and I responded a day later to schedule the service. Since then, it’s been over a month and they’ve been unresponsive. They rarely answer their phone, never reply to email, and don’t call back when I leave a message. They are apparently too busy to schedule a $8000 service, but they weren’t too busy to take money for an estimate and then disappear on me. Several reviews on Yelp complain about their lack of responsiveness, so I’m surprised they got such glowing reviews here. I hope I’m just a rare exception, but I wish I’d never called them. Other drain lining companies will not make you pay for the estimate, and I really wish I’d gone with one of them. I’m out $450 and these guys have pretty much ghosted me.

I had a scheduled appointment for 9/19/2018 at 1 PM to have an outside drain unblocked. I waited at my house the entire afternoon and no one showed up to perform the scheduled work. No one called from C & G Drain Company to explain why they no-showed. My husband called and left a message re. this missed appointment, but no one from Hercules C & G Drain Company returned that call.

After calling the day before confirming an appointment from 1-3, I took off from work and stayed and waited for the plumber from this company. No contact from the company and no return calls after I left several messages. Not a single person got back to me after the initial conversation confirming the time. It's shocking that a company like this can still be in business after not respecting people's time. This led me to question whether or not the previous high praises were simply bought and fake.

Hercules was the only one out of three companies that was able to successfully clear tree roots that were obstructing our lateral sewer line. If it weren't for them, we would have been without plumbing for weeks. God knows where we would have gone to the bathroom. In addition to addressing the immediate problem, they were able to repair the line itself without extensive excavation that would have killed our trees and shrubs. They use the latest technology, which lines your old terra cotta pipes with a resin that prevents tree roots from penetrating, and comes with a lifetime warranty. Most other companies don't use this technology, and they will warn you that a kink in the line could cause your whole sewer line to block, but that's a specious warning. Hercules completed 150 of these repairs in the last year with no problems. On top of that they use fiber optic technology to run a camera down the line to ensure that it is clear. And they were very helpful in helping us jump through the hoops necessary to get a rebate on the work from the Boston Water and Sewer Commission. It was sometimes difficult getting ahold of them at the beginning to answer questions about their quote, but it was worth the extra effort in the long run. If you have any drain issues, I recommend them hands down over the competition.

Hercules is super reliable with super quick response time. They get the job done either the same day or next day. I've used them several times for my rental units in Brighton and Allston to clear toilet, bathtub, sink and dishwasher drains. Highly recommended.

The work was done efficiently and with a high level of professionalism. They showed up on time for the work estimate, delivered the estimate promptly, and performed the work as promised with no issues.

Hercules has helped us several times, clearing a clogged outflow pipe more than once and ultimately relining the pipe. Every encounter we've had with Tico, Sharon and all the staff has been to notch--we couldn't have asked for more responsive and professional service. It's not a great experience to find your basement filled with sewage but having Hercules on the job made the best of a bad situation and inspired a great deal of confidence. We wouldn't work with anyone else (though, admittedly, I hope never to have to call Tico again!).

Very nice job. They cleaned the drain in the bath tub. Very courteous and the price was very reasonable.

They repaired the pipe and improved the access. They removed the old pipe trap. They send a camera in the drain pipe from building to the town drain and noticed it was is good shape so no need for trenches or lining. (the other guys assumed we would need to trench to the town drain or need to line the drain but all that without visual).

Hercules arrived on time, tested washer to re-create problem, snaked the drain line open and then opened up cap higher in the line to watch washer discharge into the pipe. They offered a suggestion to prevent problems in the future.

A plumber we trusted recommended C+G Drain. We contact them and they immediately jumped on the problem as if it was their own. They diagnosed the issue and consistently communicated the steps they were taking to remedy. Once the problem was identified, C+G handled the required permitting from the City of Boston and then fixed the issue. We now are appropriately connected to the city drain/sewer system. I couldn't be happier with Tico, Manny, Sharon and the crew at C+G Drain. They are a very experienced and professional team.
