It was fine. They did a good job.
Description of Work: The sink in the bathroom was clogged and I cannot remove all of the debris myself so I called Consolidated Plumbing & Heating Inc. to do it for me. It took them about 1 1/2 hours to do it.

JODI, THE ''VOICE ON THE TELEPHONE,'' HELPED ASSESS MY NEEDS. SHE ENCOURAGED ME TO SEEK RECOVERY UNDER THE WARRANTY ON MY DISPOSAL BEFORE REPLACING IT. SCHEDULING WAS COMPLEX BUT THE WORK WAS BEGUN A DAY AHEAD WHEN A PLUMBER BECAME FREE EARLY. WHEN I HAD A QUESTION ABOUT THE DISPATCH FEE AND PARTS EXPENSES ON MY BILL, JODI RESPONDED WITH AN EXPLANATION IMMEDIATELY.

THEY WHERE VERY PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND DETAILED IN THE EVALUATION. HOWEVER I CHOSE A DIFFERENT CONTRACTOR AS THEY WERE VERY EXPENSIVE AND THEY RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT OF COMPONENTS THAT ALL OTHER VENDORS SAID DID NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED, EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE OLD.

THEY WERE REFERRED TO ME BY A FRIEND AND I HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED. THEY WERE PUNCTUAL, FOLLOWED UP PROMPTLY AFTER DOING WORK, VERY NICE TO DEAL WITH, AND THEY EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME AS THEY WERE DOING IT. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME A PLUMBER HAS DRAWN ME INTO THE EXPERIENCE AND NOT MADE ME FEEL LIKE A FOOL. IT WAS A VERY GOOD SERVICE EXPERIENCE AND I'LL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY TOLD ME THEY THOUGHT THEY COULD DO IT THURSDAY MORNING AND WOULD CALL ME WEDNESDAY NIGHT TO CONFIRM. THEY NEVER CALLED ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT OR SHOWED UP ON THURSDAY MORNING. THEY SEEMED NICE ON THE PHONE -- BUT TO JUST DROP THE BALL IS A BAD INDICATOR OF THE VALUE THEY PLACE ON ME AS A CUSTOMER. I CALLED THEM, GOT THEIR ANSWERING SERVICE AND CANCELLED THE WORK BECAUSE THEY NEVER CALLED. THEY DIDN'T EVEN CALL AFTER THAT TO APOLOGIZE.

WE INFORM THEM THAT WE WILL CONFIRM WITH THEM THE NIGHT BEFORE, IF WE CAN MAKE IT TO THEIR HOUSE THE FOLLOWING DAY. WHERE THIS WAS ELECTIVE WORK, AND WE HAD AN EMERGENCY TO TAKE CARE OF, WE WERE PLANNING TO CALL THIS CUSTOMER AFTER THE EMERGENCY ALL SET. THIS CUSTOMER CALLED BEFORE OFFICE HOURS AND LEFT A MESSAGE TO CANCEL SERVICE; THINKING HE WAS ‘ALL SET’ WITH ANOTHER PLUMBER, WE FELT NO NEED TO CALL TO ‘APOLOGIZE’. WE RECEIVE DOZENS OF CALLS EACH DAY, NOT NECESSARILY ALL TO SCHEDULE WORK. WE SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON THE PHONE WITH MANY PEOPLE EACH DAY OFFERING HELPFUL HINTS & ADVICE, RECOMMENDING PRODUCTS, OTHER CONTRACTORS, ETC. WE DID NOT ‘DROP THE BALL’. IF THIS CUSTOMER HAD AN EMERGENCY OR HIGH PRIORITY CALL, WE WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE IN A FLASH, REARRANGING OUR SCHEDULE AS NEEDED – THIS IS THE ‘NATURE OF THE BUSINESS’.
