They did an excellent job. They worked in conjunction with Sears. They installed a brand new water heater and removed the old one. They did the whole job in about an hour. They were very good and they answered all my questions. They told me about maintenance. They got here on time and did a very professional job. The heater has been working great for about a month now. The price was very reasonable.

During a sump pump installation project, after jackhammering the cement around a toilet, we found that the toilet main pipe (underground) was broken. In order to finish the sump pump job, we needed someone to fix the pipe right away. I called 10 plumbing places in Norwood. Only 1, Capital Plumbing & Heating got back to me within 30 min with a reasonable price ($100/hr plus parts). They were at my house assessing the damage within 30min of our conversation, and agreed to come back first thing the next morning to replace it. The quote for the work was $250. Mark and his son, Patrick, arrived at 8:30. They immediately got to work. At 9:30, they had finished, collected payment, and were on their way. Mark was very friendly on the phone, and was very personable in person. I never felt like "a little lady," which is what contractors normally treat me as due to how young I look. I felt I was treated with respect. Mark didn't even mind me observing for a few minutes at a time, and asking him what he was doing as he did it. He was very professional. He answered all my questions confidently and respectfully. I asked him how long he'd been at Capital, and he said it was an operation of 2 people (Mark and Kevin), and they had been doing this for 17 years. I should have probably negotiated the price down. They did spend only one hour, and the part may have been less than $150. So I feel like the price could have been better... I'm just really bad at negotiations.
Description of Work: Replaced old and broken toilet main pipe (lead bend). The job required removing the old and rusty pipe (by blow-torching the old connector) and putting in a new part. The job overall took 1 hour.
