Mike was open to coming out quickly (in within one week), and had a full plan how to finish off what our current contractor was doing, as well as start a new project for us. After re-negotiating with our current contractor, we decided to keep our current one, yet Mike was wonderful to work with. He had a full plan of: getting a plasterer, getting 2 staff, and getting the job done quickly. I think he would have been great, even though we stayed with our current, for "one last chance". All this was done over the phone, and Mike was also very responsive.

The project went very well overall. Mike returned our initial call for a quote promptly and came over within a week to give us an estimate. He explained everything in detail and discussed a range of options with us. We originally considered having him build in the shelving and hanging areas, but opted for an adjustable system. During the work, he kept us updated on his progress.

Mike was the best. We've been working on our 125 year old house for eight years, and have hired many people in the process. Mike's attention to detail, his reliability, his friendly demeanor, and his professionalism put him high above the rest. We recommend him most highly.

Working with Mike Bauman was wonderful in every way. He is extremely careful, talented and completely dependable. We were very impressed with the detail of his work as well as his desire to do everything perfectly. We own a very old house, filled with lots of incredibly quirky problems and Mike addressed them beautifully. We have worked with many, many people in renovating our house. Mike was the best, and we would hire him again in a second.

Mike did a great job-he responded to my initial inquiry promptly, came to my condo for a detailed discussion/estimate, took measurements and helped me clarify and decide on the work to be done. He is very polite and friendly, and always considers what his clients want and what will benefit them most of all. For example, the hutch re-finish was quite a challenge-the house is over 100 years old and nothing is even-he took painstaking care and gave great attention to detail and it came out lovely! The modular unit he chose for my closet is perfect and useful in the space-it's like I have twice the closet, now! I am thrilled with the projects and I highly recommend Bauman Remodeling!

Project went very well. Fast, efficient, good quality. Mike specializes in carpentry and his work is topnotch. He is very detail-oriented and goes the extra step to make things look professional. The reason for the B rating on professionalism is that the painters Mike used as subcontractors were great at plastering but not as good at the painting when it came to edges. Mike came back himself and finished the edge painting.

This was a very good experience. We found Bauman Remodeling on Angie's List. We had had a bad experience when we tried to hire a handyman to do the work we wanted, and we joined Angie's List as a result. Mike Bauman is the owner of Bauman Remodeling. The work we needed done was carpentry, largely external but with some minor internal as well, roofing repair and painting. Mike acted as both the general contractor and the carpenter. He did a great job in both. He was very attentive to our questions, concerns and needs, and he identified and explained our problems. He arranged for both the roofer and the carpenter who were both also very attentive and great quality. The carpentry issues related primarily to water damage associated with trim and sashes around a number of the windows and on the edges of the house. Mike identified the problem areas and replaced and repaired the rotten wood and sashes. He also recommended things to do to prevent similar damage in the future. He also rebuilt a door for a lazy Susan and converted it to a more useful cabinet. The roofer was in and out quickly, and not only did he repair the roof, but he cleaned our gutters as well. The painter also did a great job, repairing and priming water damaged areas inside the house which were associated with the roof problems. All three were very courteous, attentive and professional. This was a very good experience, and my wife and I are extremely pleased with the work. We recommend Bauman Remodeling highly. Mike did a great job as carpenter and an equally great job acting as subcontractor. If we have additional work that needs to be done, we will hire him again.

At first I was uncomfortable with the price but after we talked and negotiated, the agreement we came to was very satisfactory. I did have to eliminate the door installation that was originally part of the service, but that seemed like the better deal.

Great experience. We had not worked with Mike before so we took each project one at a time. He is a perfectionist and the quality of his work is superb. He also finished close to on-time and was 90% dedicated to our project, which meant we did not have to play that well-known game of 'find your contractor'. For a four-week project, he finished in five weeks.
