This company is awesomely good. When my relatively new pool heater sprung a leak, I first called the company that I bought it from and that installed it. They told me that it was my fault it was broken, that there was no way it would be covered under the warranty, and that I had to replace the entire heater. That did not sit well with me so at the recommendation of the pool heater manufacturer I called New England Gas Systems. Bruce carefully dismantled the system, investigated the problem, and most importantly identified and explained the root cause of the problem. But that’s not all. They also went to bat for me and convinced the manufacturer to honor the warranty on the part that was broken, which was a huge financial savings for me. They ordered all the right parts, including the parts to fix the root cause, and efficiently put everything together so that the pool heater now looks and is working like brand new. I cannot say enough good things about the expertise, professionalism, and integrity of this company and its owner. They truly lived up to the ideals that you expect from a service provider and as a result have gained a new customer for life.

I can't say enough good things about my service; punctual, professional, honest and experienced. When the original guy got sick and was unable to make the appointment, Bruce (owner) was able to accommodate my work schedule and came after finishing up other calls. Was impressed with his office staff too (Elaine) who reworked the appointment to make the service call happen (heat was not clicking on from gas furnace). After checking pilot and thermostat batteries without avail, I knew I needed a professional. The end work speaks for itself, with new wiring, conductor piece and everything bolted/ anchored...the furnace is now rock solid with heat flowing and ready for winter. I will definitely be using New England Gas Systems for all my future services and work. They have earned a customer for life!

When I called this company, someone answered the phone right away and I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly. The owner came to my house within the stated time. I was not able to meet with him personally, but had a friend meet with him. Bruce was very thorough in what he thought could be done and made suggestions on the steps that needed to be taken. He said he would probably call me later so he could speak to me personally. He did just that and we had a very good conversation about what needed to be done and all the other trades, such as a Chimney Sweep and an Electrician, that needed to do work before his firm would come in to install the gas line. We talked about the advantages of a vented vs. a non-vented insert. It was an education for me. I kind of put him on the spot and said if he had to guess, what did he think everything might cost for all the trades and materials to install the gas insert. He thought $4,000 to $5,000. When he found out why I was thinking about doing this, he was very honest and said, personally, he would not do it since I probably would not get my money back, so I will take his advice. I was very impressed with how forthcoming and knowledgeable he was and, I would definitely call him again in the future if I needed his services in my new home.

They have come back to fix a few problems and also clean the system getting ready for winter. I would highly recommend their service!

My fireplace gas pilot was not lighting. Someone told me I needed a new part but the person came and cleaned everything out and fixed it within less than an hour. He was amazing, polite and good at his job. I also asked him to service my furnace to get ready for a sale and he did it easily and helped me out with a part that was dangerous. I would highly recommend.

Given the service went very well, there's very few details to give. They arrived within the given time window, they were respectful of my home (bringing drop cloths to protect my floors and wiping their hands before using doors). They were courteous and friendly (one of them even complimented our property) and kept me informed of all they were doing. They were in and out in less than 45 minutes, and we couldn't be happier with the result.

A rep for the company (the owner, I think) arrived late ( 20 min) for the appointment, no call to say that he was running late. He went through the inspection and left promising an estimate by the end of the week (it was a Mon). Fri arrived and no call, no estimate. I called the office and got a ball park number on the estimate, but I still wanted a detailed list of the work. I offered that he could snail mail or email the estimate and he said I should have it by the beginning of the following week. I never heard another word from the company. I went with another company.

Clean, timely, courteous, reliable, knowledgeable--overall an excellent experience especially because my fireplace works! There were many reasons attributed to my gas fireplace not turning on and the tech made sure to explain everything to me and answered all of my questions, while still working on my unit. He spent about 3 hours getting the fireplace in fine working order--rewired something my DH replaced when we started having issues with the fireplace, replaced the pilot that was damaged and ended with a complete cleaning, test of the fireplace and its safety features. Also, he didn't have the exact pilot that went with my unit but made some adjustments to make it work. When you look at the approximate cost of service that number sounds high but it includes a replacement part, 3 hours of labor and a travel zone cost. I was in travel zone F which equated to $38. Its all relative. I will definitely call them again for a cleaning and if any other issues arise with my fireplace.

Overall I was please with the service, the man seemed reasonable and did his best to work with my old furnace and got it up and running again. I know that I will have to replace it in the future, but at least he bought me a little time with this one.

At 6:30 on a Friday of a holiday weekend, I noticed our house had gotten cold. After trying unsuccessfully several plumbers, I reached New England Gas Systems. Chad Lipinski arrived very soon after my call, had the correct part for my hot water gas system in his truck and got the heat working again within the hour. Chad warned me over the phone that he would have to charge me time and a half, as it was an emergency after hours call. He also charged me extra for the drive out from Danvers. So, the repair was expensive which is why I rated the price at "C", but worth not spending the weekend in the cold. The company specializes in gas appliances, and I would not hesitate to call them again with heating problems.
