M.D.BEAN CONSTRUCTION

Description of Work: They built a small front porch on my house. I contacted M D Bean Construction in mid October. Mike came out and gave me a quote with in a week and said they would be able to start work in 3 weeks. Three weeks went by and they did not show up. After contacting Mike on several occasions they finally started work at the end of November. There were problems with the footings, they were not square which caused two of the posts to barely rest on the footings. This problem resulted in the crew having to dig up the footings and move them to center them under the posts. Construction moved on from there, but there were more problems near the end of the construction with one the railings not being square and another one being crooked. It was unsettling that a company that had been in business for more than 20 years had difficulty in keeping things square and plumb. In the end the porch looked nice.

Description of Work: Mike and his crew started to replace wood trim on the exterior of my home in preparation for my painters. They found extensive rot damage that needed to be replaced immediately. They took out and replaced all the rotted wood, trim, shingles etc. on the front and side exterior of my home.
