Everything went perfectly and on time.

Warning!! CJ came and did an estimate on my bathroom in the Fall. Not only was he rude to me, he also was extremely overpriced. He quoted me 20,000 to complete my very small bathroom. I could not believe it. He did not know I have a history of remodeling, and have done this before. When I challenged him he laughed at me and said that is the price. On the way out he made a comment about my stairs that i was refinishing. I told him i was re-doing them and he asked how. When I told him he laughed at me again. I ended up getting my bathroom redone for 7,000, with all my other quotes being under 10,000. If you want an overpriced quote and to be talked town too. Then hire CJ and son.

It didnt go at all. They came to look at the project then gave me the run around for an estimate. Then they just stop replying all together

Excellent. Work was completed in time that was communicated to us, workmanship was excellent. Communicated exactly what was to be done and when, via phone and email, always responsive to my questions and concerns. Masonry work was also completed and all looks great. He is doing a fantastic job. He is very professional. He does not cut any corners. I would recommend him to anyone and I will use him in the future.

Even when I missed the designated end of the coupon deadline, the vendor was great and agreed to allow me time to get the work done. I just couldn't make it work on my end. My life is still crazy and I can't quite remember when all of this was supposed to take place, so the date I listed may not be accurate.

I never write reviews but this went so poorly I felt compelled to do so... A year later, I am still dealing with the repercussions of his lousy job. He trimmed cabinets to allow for new appliances to go in and his work was very sloppy.. rough edges, crooked edges and he would say he was done and when I questioned the work, he had an excuse that "oh yeah.. I wasn't done.. I didn't have the right tool with me.." He installed my new appliances, his partner dropped the oven door (I was in the room to watch him to do it), clearly scratched it and then he later told me that it came like that... I am still dealing with the repercussions of the faulty install job on the appliances, when I questioned the stove top not functioning properly, he challenged me and said that I was wrong as well as the rep from the manufacturer. He made a new cabinet for me for a microwave... it took over 6 weeks for him to build and when he arrived with it... the color was completely off, the specs were off and then charged me for the rework... Not once did I receive a formal estimate despite several times asking and he would go weeks without returning to finish the job, telling me that he originally said he was going to "squeeze me in..." which was never the case and if it were.... just responding to calls or emails would have been helpful to set expectations. He is a mediocre Jack of all Trades, Master of None. I wish I were writing a glowing review.

It was wonderful having Bill. He was a perfect person to have in the house. I would highly recommend him . He was very efficient and trustworthy. He worked the whole day and didn't even take his lunch. He did quality work on my windows.

Had big deal for 4 hours labor and cost additional $200 for this job. BIG rip-off, will never use again and can not recommend.

After I voiced concern over the original estimate, Chris Jones agreed to delete a separate repair item from the original quote and reduced the cost to an acceptable amount to repair the troublesome gutter leak over my front porch stairs. The workman who repaired the gutter leak also corrected a slider window problem on my back porch from a previous job. Both jobs were completed the same day and we are very pleased with the work. Pending acceptable price quotes, I wouldn't hesitate to use CJ's Finish Carpentry again. .

Never finished the job as promised. Seemed like a nice guy.

I contacted CJ Finish Carpentry about installing a new railing for my back deck. I provided pictures, exact layout and size of the deck. Someone came out to look at the job, and arrived within the promised time. While here, we also discussed a couple of other projects that I would like to have done. CJ took notes of all the potential projects and promised to get me an estimate in a week. After 10 days or so I called. They again promised to get me an estimate by end of the week. I never received anything.

Chris was very responsive and was great about schedule changes due to other contractors hold ups. The work done was very good. It did take me a while for him to get the bill to me but that's ok.

CJs was very attentive, even though we are out of service area for them, they offered 100% customer service. Fine, although I am not available the days they want to conduct the work. I will reconsider in the Spring, once I receive a free estimate of the work to be conducted. My apologies. Sincerely,

Bought deal on Oct 9th didn't hear from CJ's until Oct 23rd. By then the work was all finished by another company I had to hire

I had to reach out to the service provider in order to schedule the appointment, after discussing the job to be performed, there was going to be extra cost and scheduling problems so I decided to end this deal.

Chris and his team were great! From start to finish he was informative,courteous and professional. He was my first experience with Angie's list that I went with. After reaching out to a few handyman companies and getting no reply after leaving a description of the work I needed I was surprised to hear from Chris so fast. Even though he was busy he got me in one weeks time. His reviews no matter how large or small the job they all have the same message he is great. I will use his services again without hesitation and will tell everyone without pause the experience far exceeded my expiation. Thanks again Kevin

The company never showed the day they were supposed to do the work so I did not end up using the big deal. Their number was disconnected so I could not get a hold of them either.

Took over 20 days to hear back from him and then he randomly suggested days way beyond when we needed him. The whole experience has been terrible and I would like a refund. I'm in a bind now and have to find another person on my own. 0 out of 10 this time, won't use this service again. Getting a refund has been an equally bad experience. 7-10 business days below, talk about operational excellence on your end... I most likely will be canceling my account if this is not resolved quickly. I'm shocked at the level of service all around here, not what I expect from a company who sells reputation??

Provider never called in the 2 day window I was guaranteed. Then when I tried to call him on my own he said "he was too busy to deal with the internet appointments." Now we've wasted a week and are going to have to rush to find someone to do the job. Terrible service and he shouldn't be a part of the online purchasing program.

Chris's team was thorough and kept the mess to a minimum. The project turned out just as we had hoped and we would recommend CJ's highly.

CJ's Finish Carpentry is absolutely the best I have ever had. The damage to the wall occurred on Tuesday May 13. At 2:00 PM the next day. Wednesday. I contacted CJ's Finish Carpentry about the problem. Within an hour, Chris of CJ's had the job scheduled for the next day, Wednesday, at 8:30 AM (changed to 10:00 AM at my request). By 1:00 PM Wednesday the broken sheetrock had been removed and replaced with new material, perfectly plastered and primed. The work, done by Bill Garrard, was outstanding. I cannot see anything except a complete wall that looks like it was never damaged. All this was less than $300. So, less than two days after the damage occurred, CJ's Finish Carpentry had scheduled, arrived and repaired the wall at a reasonable price. Usually it takes most companies that long to return my phone call.

I have used him since. It can be a little hard to get a hold of with returning calls returned but the shelves were fine. It was anchored properly and level.
