Overall great job. Boxford Chimney Sweep's team of three arrived at my home at approximately 12:30PM to inspect my chimney and determined that the chimney needed to be cleaned out and a new liner with chimney caps needed to be installed. They went right to work, two hour job. A great team effort. Cleaned up when the job was completed. Highly recommended.

Overall went very well. They were referred to me by Ken McConnell Plumbing who was doing the gas conversion job. They gave me an estimate on a Saturday, talked directly to Ken about timing and then I was able to schedule for the following Wednesday. They showed up at the arranged time and completed the job in an hour or so. Things went smoothly, very pleased with the service.

John was very clear during the estimating portion, laying out the options with pros and cons of each. They arrived on time the morning of the install, then in no time they were at the top of the chimney, dropping the liner down, fitting it correctly and terminating both ends. They made the work seem effortless. I highly recommend these guys for quality workmanship done efficiently.

They had to do the whole chimney over. They were so neat and clean. When they came into the house, they put plastic runners on the floor to walk on. They didn't leave anything after they finished the job. Everything was cleaned up neat and clean. They were wonderful.

Great job, very satisfied. The new liner was necesary as part of converting the heating system for one of the apartments from oil to gas. (The other apartment was already gas, and the two hot water heaters are also gas.) I called John on the recommendation of the contractor doing the conversion, who said he had used John for years. John called back promptly and, in a series of calls, arranged to put in the liner on the same day that the conversion was being done (meaning that I didn't have to take second day off work). He also gave me a price based on my description over the phone, and that was the price we ended up paying. When asked whether we should have a stainless steel liner (we had no idea), John said that he'd be happy to install one, but that it would be twice the price and it really wasn't necessary for our purposes. They came on the day scheduled, installed the liner, and included a chimney cap as part of the quoted price. (It was also nice to see a young woman on the crew that did the work.) Overall, very professional. Highly recommended.

John was quick to respond, showed up right on time, and quoted me an excellent price. In fact, his price was less than 1/2 (yes, that's right, less than *half*) the price of another seemingly well-regarded Angie's List Boston area sweep for the same aluminum liner.
