Description of Work: I have used Steve's services several times in the last two years and he is always prompt and professional. Today he installed my new washer and dryer. He fit me into his totally busy schedule which I greatly appreciate. I did not ask for an estimate ahead of time because he has always been very reasonable and I trust he will be again (that's why I had to put 0 in the price box). If I need plumbing help in the future I will be sure to call him.

+ -1 moreI called to explain my project on a Friday. I was told I would get a call back on the weekend and that they could come out mid to late the next week. I never received a call back. Went with a different local plumber who turned out to be excellent. I have no problem with someone being to busy to do a job or not wanting the job but they should at least do the courtesy of calling you back if you plan on running a business. Very unprofessional.

+ -1 moreThe plumber (I believe his name was Joe) was on time, very professional, and thoughtful. He pointed out the drain issues and offered to fix it that day. He left my home in clean condition. I was very pleased with the quality of work and the price charged.
Description of Work: Repaired several problems resulting from an improper winterization on a home I purchased. Replaced dishwasher, repaired two toilets, replaced shut-off and exterior faucet, rerouted improperly installed drain, etc.

Description of Work: We have used Steve and his team for a number of different projects. They installed plumbing for a new laundry room we put in on the 2nd floor (complicated job), installed a new sink, new shower head and handle, and various other smaller items. We cannot recommend McElhinney enough. Very professional and trustworthy....on top of being really nice guys. We will continue to use them for any plumbing project that comes up at our house.

+ -1 moreThe service man arrived at my home 10 minutes early, ready to get the job done. He worked very quickly, which I appreciated after having another experience with a plumber who lolly-gagged around, taking his sweet time. Mike was great - he fixed the toilet seal within 40 minutes and then moved on to the master shower. He was methodical and asked for our input and usage throughout his analysis. He eventually determined that our supposed leak in the master bathroom was actually from the tub drain in a different bathroom. All in all, he was great and spent 4 hours at the house. This all happened recently, so we still have time to see if we caught the root causes of the leaks, but as long as the fix is solved, we would definitely use McElhinney again!
Description of Work: After calling several plumbers listed in the area on Angie's List, McElhinney was the only call to be received by a real live human. I believe I spoke to the owner, who talked with me at length about the problems I was seeing in my home: Leak from toilet seal, and some mysterious leak coming from what we thought was our master shower pan. We talked about expectations and possible causes, discussed price, and then scheduled a time for someone to come out.
