Description of Work: We had a problem with a loss of water that was quite substantial. I had to call several times to try to get an appoitment for service. This was always very frustrating. A service person would come out and never seemed to spend much time and we would never know what to expect. We would wait a few days and realize that we were still loosing water. I would call back to get serviceing again and we would be back to square one. Eventually I was told that the problem was with the hydrostatic valve (deep end) and this would require a diver and would be more expensive. Since I really wanted to get this problem resolved, I said to go ahead. Several days go by, (never got a phone call telling me a diver would be there) and there was the teddy bear truck in my driveway. I immediately go back to see what the outcome is. The service tech, was just drying off and told me he dove in himself and changed the hydrostatic valve and that we didn't need a diver with tank. At this point he left. We stupidly paid the bill. The bottom line was that we still were loosing water. We recieved a telephone call on the answering machine, saying Teddy Bear pools was no longer servicing pools they did not build. We had been customers of approx 18 yrs. I was irate to think we as customers were in effect fired!! The only thing I know from another pool company that had a real diver was that the valve was frozen at an angle, and could not be budged. I have been suspecious that the tech from teddy bear lied, and then covered up by calling and leaving that message on our phone. As I know that we are not in thier system, as difficult customers. I'm only sorry I didn't take action along time ago. I do however tell everyone I know with a pool, to stay far away!!!!!!

Description of Work: I engaged this company to lay an underground pipe for my pool at a fixed price. The technician who priced the job appeared to be knowledgeable and experienced. I kept track of the workmen's hours and calculated the actual labor rate to be about $130.00 per hour. I was told that their normal labor rate was $60.00 per hour. I telephoned one Bill Sizemore at the company and requested a downward adjustment of the price to a more reasonable level. He refused to do so. He told me that my concerns would be referred to Ted Hebert, the owner of the Company, and that he would call me. The owner didn't call. Add bad manners to an already disappointing experience.

Description of Work: Had Teddy Bear do the installation of my above ground 18' pool. They did a first rate job no problems would hire again and looking to adding a spa in the fall.

Description of Work: Although most recent service was another smooth pool closing, our positive experience with this company goes back over 5 years to the purchase and installation of our in ground pool. Dave was outstanding during the sales process. The installation was excellent. Bill has been outstanding on the service and repair side. Given what it costs to put in a pool, it makes sense to go with a company you can trust. We highly recommend.
