I've reviewed RJ's previously and just find them great to work with. They do good work and are fair. Engine repair and maintenance are not in my wheelhouse so I do minimum amount of work on my machines. I view the periodic professional "overhaul" that RJ's does as part of the cost of my investment.

took a couple weeks to get to it, but welder did a good job. Better than original Craftsman factory welds.

They fixed it and they are extremely good at what they do.

I was very pleased with the work RJ's did for me. The cost of the work was easily covered by the savings on having a lawn care company do my yard. We set an appointment for pick up and delivery and they were very prompt. My machine looked great and performed excellent during the season. They will be doing more work for me on my snowblower as well as a repair on my riding mower on a part I broke. I had used another company in the past but their reviews lately have been terrible so I'm opting to pay for pick up and delivery rather than chance a poor outcome with them (I have free pick up and delivery with them because I bought my machine there). Based on my experience with RJ's I will be staying with them.

After reading great reviews on AL, my wife and I decided to bring the mower we got from my wife's grandfather to RJ's to see if it could be salvaged. Bob called back very quickly within a day or two and gave it to me strait that it was a lemon and it was really only worth its weight in scrap. It was an older mower and her grandfather didn't take the best care of it. Bob was great about it, he explained everything to me in detail and we came down to his place and he took the time with my wife and I to walk us around his lot and show us what he had for new and used mowers. He was very patient with us and answered all of our questions in great detail. He showed us all of our options by going with him and he was not pushy just trying to make a sale at all. We thanked him and told him we would think about it. After a few days of my wife and I deciding what we wanted, I called Bob and told him we were interested in one of his used mowers, but we didn't want exceed a certain price for a used mower where we could just buy a new one. He worked with us and we were able to come to an agreement on the mower we wanted. It needed some work so it would take a little time to get done which is completely understandable since summer is a busy time for mowers being repaired. Over the time it took, Bob would call me with updates frequently and even offered to let me borrow a mower of his just to have one. On the day it was ready, Bob delivered the mower to my house and took the time to make sure everything was running efficiently and even showed me how to use it since it was my first one. Bob and his wife have made this such an easy process for my wife and I and we couldn't be happier. RJ's will have our and our family's business from now on and I highly suggest anybody reading this to do the same.

Got it back in a week, which is critical during lawnmowing season. Were very prompt in pickup and delivery.

I had taken our snowthrower to R J Enterprises with the question: " is this thing worth fixing?" We had bought it used and it would not start in cold weather, which of course is when you want a snowthrower. Bob Jennings repaired and tuned up the machine -- even cleaning it so it looked like new -- for a reasonable price. It not only starts but runs like new. When I picked it up, after I had paid, Bob refunded $5.15 for a part that was on the invoice, but which he did not use. That does not happen at most service businesses ! My only comment, not really a complaint, is that they did not phone with an estimate before doing the work. However, since the cost was reasonable and the turn-around was prompt, I did not mind.

They returned my call promptly and picked up the blower. They took it apart and found that mice had eaten the wiring. Even though the starter that came with the unit could not be replaced because it was so old, Bob managed to match one up from one in the shop. He called the night before a snowstorm and asked if he could bring the blower back later in the evening - who makes that kind of effort any more?!?!? I will use them for all of my repairs and tune-upsfrom now on

Couldn't be happier - EXTREMELY polite and courteous to deal with. Really appreciated the pick-up and drop-off of my heavy snowblower ... did a test run yesterday, and it started on the first pull; hasn't done that in several years, and definitely sets my mind at ease for the upcoming winter. They'll definitely hear from me next Spring for my lawn mower - Thanks guys, great job!

Pick up was courteous and at the time promised. The mower came back cleaned and running.

They called ahead of time to schedule a time to pick up my equipment. Showed up when they said they would. Very friendly and courteous. When they looked into why my snowblower didn't start - they told me that my starter had broken some teeth. They let me know the cost to repair and then ordered the part once I OKed it. They delivered the snowblower and lawnmower back to me when they said they would. When I got them back - they were not only working - but they were so clean that they looked brand new. Both have been working great for me. I would definitely use them again and would recommend to use them without hesitation.

I had an old portable generator that had been neglected (sitting for a few years) and would no longer run. After seeing the positive reviews on Angies, I gave them a call and described my issue. While they are some 35-40 mins from home, I had a great feeling after talking to Bob that he'd be able to get it running w/o spending too much as this was an older unit and not worth a large investment when compared to the cost of a comparable new unit. I dropped off my generator with a "no rush" admonishment - a few weeks later, Bob called to say he had it running and it was generating electricity just fine, but it really needed a carb rebuild. I authorized that work, and also an oil change. I picked it up the other day and found that Bob had also repaired the fuel shutoff, replaced the fuel lines and fuel filter... and even threw in some fuel stablizer to try. The generator now runs like a top and I couldn't be happier with the work. Both Bob and his wife Judy were extremely pleasant, professional and easy to work with. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in the northern CT or Western MA area! -MGS

Very responsive, friendly and proficient. Set up appointment for pick-up on the same day I called. Arrived on time both for scheduled pick-up and delivery. Quick turn around time. Very pleasant to deal with.

They were very responsive, picked up my snowblower and brought it back in a short period of time. While I haven't blown any snow with it, I've been impressed by J-R up to this point.

Bob and his wife Judy are the nicest people in the world and so easy to deal with. This is the second time I required Bob's services and once again he was prompt and provided a great price for the work that he completed. I will be using Bob's service for all my small equipment needs.

Overall, I had an exceptional experience with Bob. His wife, Judy, who answers the phone calls is super pleasant and very easy to set up an appointment with to service the lawnmower. The prices are not to be beat by anyone, but what impressed me more was how nice Bob was and willing to help however he could. I would use R.J. Enterprises again after meeting Bob just because of his personality and friendliness. I cannot say enough positive words to describe how happy I am to have found R.J Enterprises. Bob and Judy even sent me a thank you note for my business. How many dealers will do that? I will be using Bob and Judy for all of my future appliance yearly services as well as repairs from this point forward. I now understand why Bob has received all "A" ratings and 3 years of "A+" ratings from the BBB with no complaints from people in that period. I HIGHLY recommend R.J. Enterprises.

This report is overdue by 2 months! Its amazing how fast the time can get by you. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with RJ Enterprises. Judy and Bob are the nicest, most professional people I have met in a very long time. They picked up my mower and worked on it for a couple of days. They delivered it back to me and it looked and ran like brand new! And, the price for the tune up was very fair. I would recommend RJ Enterprises without any hesitation.

Just the nicest people to deal with - can't say enough good things about them! Mower came back promptly, looking all spruced up… with a "good to go" bill of health from Bob, who'd clearly done a thorough overhaul of the entire system. So imagine my disappointment and dismay when I set out to tackle my *not*-suburban "lawn" - it used to be surrounded by hay fields so it's not nice and even, and has every kind of grass and not-grass stuff growing in it - and find that my mower was now cutting even *worse* than it had ever done before!! I was nervous about calling back about the situation, expecting I'd get the kind of defensiveness and "what do you know about machines anyway" reactions I'd gotten when I'd tried to get its problems sorted out with previous service companies. But Bob and Judy were totally not like that. They very receptive, and determined to help sort out what was wrong. In fact they and another repair person came to my home & spent a good chunk of time here expressly to do that. With Judy video-taping everything so they can ask a Toro rep, they watched me drive it, listened carefully & respectfully to my feedback about what was not OK about how it functioned, and they both also drove it so they could see how it performed - and then we all brainstormed about what might be not working, and what might help. For starters Bob said that a machine that doesn't have a floating deck would have a better chance of tackling the uneven surface and non-uniform growth if it was driven very slowly over the really challenging areas - slower than you'd think to take it, slower for sure than the original owner had demonstrated, and/or the various other service people had done. It makes complete sense - and he's absolutely correct about it. Bob also suggested that even though I wasn't using the bagger, using bagger-*blades*, not the ones the local parts supplier said to use, might improve the performance on this kind of lawn, because bagger-blades are designed to lift the growth more than the regular ones. Moreover, he offered to get those for me, and fit them for me to try out - and only charge for the blades and a pick up fee. I couldn't be happier with that: it's very fair. I was pretty upset at having spent as much as I did to get a machine come back working less well than it had before, but Bob can't be blamed for a machine that's not what it's hyped to be. So at this point I'm waiting for him to get back to me to set up a time to get the other blades on. It's taking a bit longer than I'd hoped, but unlike with the other companies, I can still use the machine as is, while I wait for him to get an open time slot.

They were able to pick up the mower within 40 hours of my call. They picked it up on time. I was then emailed an estimate for the work. They indicated that a new blade and fuel line were recommended. The total cost, including pick-up and delivery, was quite reasonable. They delivered the mower back to us on time and in immaculate condition. The mower started and ran beautifully. They also brought us the replaced parts for us to see exactly why they needed to be replaced. I like this practice. It builds confidence in their service and knowledge. We chose this company based on glowing Angie's List reviews. Add us to their list of fans. They run a tight ship and we'll continue to use them in years to come.

Called for regular spring service on self propelled mower. Got a very quick response and Judy came to pick up the mower. We were contacted a couple of days later with 2 estimares, one for the normal servicing and one for another repair. I called back and taked to Judy about whether the additional repair was needed and we agreed to just do theroutine maintenance and then send the mower back if the other issue became a problem. They order the parts and did the maintenance. Bob and Judy returned the mower right on schedule. It looked almost new. We have never had equipment returned looking that good! We were impressed with everything this company offered. All of our equipment will be going there now.
