Exceptional and exceeded all our expectations. We have had some bad experiences with contractors and sub-contractors. They by far exceeded our expectation and performed as expected. Friendly, personable, punctual, quick. I couldn’t be happier.

Shortly after we purchased a relatively new home (2-3 years), we noticed that paint was "blistering" off the wall around our shower. We figured it was humidity, and tried to work at bringing the humidity level down by opening the windows, leaving the fan on during showers and afterward. Still, the paint kept blistering and then peeling off the wall and then off the ceiling, and then off the other walls of the bathroom. That's when we decided to call for help. Gerard was great in being in contact with me by cell phone, and after a few tries in getting our schedules to meet, he came in for an estimate. He proposed a cause for the problem - either the prior painters didn't use primer (it didn't look like they did), or they didn't wait until the plaster had dried off. Whatever the cause may have been, he proposed that it would take him and a co-worker 1/2 to 1 1/2 days to remove the paint, and then apply primer and paint (other painters had said 3 to 5 days!). He showed us a broad range of swatches, and we picked the ones we wanted. He also advised us to put on a dehumidifier for 48 hours before the day he was going to come in. Well, Gerard came on the day he scheduled, about 30 minutes early(!), and worked to clear out the paint from the entire bathroom. He also took great care to remove whatever fixtures we had, or to protect what he couldn't remove. He applied a coat, or maybe 2, of primer I believe, and let it stay overnight, and then painted the following day. He protected everything in the bathroom (like countertop, bathtub) so that the paint didn't get on anything it shouldn't have. He cleaned up everything, put back the things he had moved, and it looks fantastic!!!! He also was just about right for his estimate - he quoted $500 but it was $600. Still, his work was worth it, and he's coming back to help with other parts of the house.
