Great job repairing a toilet for my elderly parents (tank filled slowly; ballcock was replaced). Charged by the hour, reasonable price, no BS. Responsive - would have come the same day but I could not accommodate so they came the day afterward. Also did a minor faucet repair. Good value for money. Recommend!

Very Well, I have taken off a star for delay by one hour. Otherwise the two individuals( should have remembered the names Sorry) who showed up for work were outstanding. Very professional, Courteous and they love dogs. They were very careful in removing my old gas range, placed it the garage and again very careful in installing the new gas range. Absolutely No damage to my floors or kitchen counter. They were nice enough to wear booties before entering my house. I do really appreciated their work. Thank you

Need a plumber who is actually responsive and can have your leaking garbage disposal removed and replaced in 10 minutes after they arrive ON TIME? If yes, call these guys! I've never had a service person arrive at the time they said they would, but these guys were prompt. Not only that but clearly they knew what they were doing because Paul (who has over a decade of experience) and his assistant/apprentice, Matt, removed the leaky disposal and installed a new one in under 10 minutes. That must be up there in some kind of Guinness book of world record, no? Their fees seemed to be in line with other company quotes I received for the same service. I've had a difficult time finding a reliable plumber I could trust until now. Many thanks to Barry and his team for their work.

Very well - David Barry came out the day we called, which happened to be Sunday on Memorial Day weekend. He was not able to replace the tank then, but took down the details and had a crew with the replacement tank at our house first thing on Tuesday. They were prompt, efficient, and professional; had the old tank removed and the replacement installed within 2 hours. They get extra credit for working in a confined basement space!

We have used them multiple times. They are on time, professional, courteous and responsible. The workers were professional, courteous and responsible.

I would use them again in future.

Every time I have needed him he has met me here. I called the day I had a flood and he showed up. I called from my office and he said he would meet me at my house; he got there when I got there. We found it wasn't just a flood. I thought it was the hot water heater, but it was that all the sewage had backed up in the basement. It was a massive job. He called the other guys to come in and do the cleaning. He stayed with me until everything was set. My hot water heater did go shortly after. He was there that day to change it. I thought the problem was my pilot light but he told me it was the thermocoupler. He said he would get someone over here and he did. From what I know about costs, Dave has always been right about the middle. He is not really excessively high, he shows up on time and what he charges I pay. The quality of his work is excellent. I have never had anything go wrong that he did. That has not always been the case. I called him this weekend and he was out of town. He got right back to me. We talked about it, he called around to get people and said if he could not be here he would have someone else there Monday morning. And he did; that's responsive. His punctuality was excellent. He interrupted a job to come meet me. I am no special customer and do not have that much work for him, but he comes -- he does it. He was there right on time. He does the job, does it well, is on time and charges what plumbers charge. He is good. Every time I have needed him he has been here.

During the negative degree temperatures, a pipe in my house burst. Apparently, this happened to a lot of people because no other plumber even returned my calls! All except for Barry Plumbing, who were very professional and courteous. The plumber came to my house after hours to assess the situation. I appreciated that he came even though it was so late so that he could be sure my needs were quickly met! He arrived the next morning, cut into the drywall to locate the pipe then quickly replaced the damaged section. All in all, it was quick and painless. They were an excellent company and I would definitely use them in the future, should the need arise!

Barry Plumbing was clearly the most responsive of the three companies that I contacted about this work. He got my desired models for the faucet and garbage disposal over the phone, bought them using his contractor's wholesale discount, and scheduled an installation date, all within a few days of our first contact. The installer was very professional and the work was done quickly and well. Everything is working fine -- can't ask for more!

Sean was polite and efficient. I have no idea how he was able to remove the sink which weighed well over250 lbs. the new sink installation is great. He helped arrange for the sewer blockage to be cleared.

I called Dave Barry when I discovered my boiler was not working, which was on a Sunday night. He answered his cell phone, assured me I would not be cold (the night was warm/seasonal) and we set a time for him to come the following morning. He came with his assistant on time and solved the problem in under an hour.

Dave is amazing. We had an emergency during a storm, he came right away and capped the pipes and toilet flange to prevent problems and damage to our property. We arranged for him to come back to assist with removing a bad plumbing which was done by an incompetent contractor. After this, he did the rough plumbing of a pedestal sink, bath tub and toilet. He set and installed the tub at the location. He is always on time, very professional, a great contractor. I would highly recommend him for any plumbing work.

Dave came right away when we called and fixed a complicated leak.

We bought a gas range on Sunday and found that the first available delivery was Friday. Unfortunately that was Friday July 5th, and we were worried about getting a plumber to help on a holiday weekend. The first plumber I called told us exactly that - it would be difficult to get someone to come on Friday. But then I called Dave, and he said it would be no problem. He came out on Wednesday to disconnect the old range, which allowed the delivery people to swap new for old in one trip. Then he came back after the delivery on Friday and got the new one setup. He added a shutoff valve that we were missing, leak checked the connections, and even leveled the range after pushing it into place. We live in Newton Highlands which is also the business for Barry Pluming so that may have made it easier. But we had a good experience in any case and would recommend him.

He always shows up on time, he is professional and always cleans up after himself. There are never any surprises and he fixes things without questioning. He made suggestions about different ways to do things that were pertinent to the project.

According to the town inspector, the plumber and his worker did not know the basics of plumbing. Shower lines were not attached to the studs, drain lines were not pitched correctly and insulated, toilet stem valves were loose int he walls, and the baseboard heters were installed improperly and had to be redone at my expense by a new plumber ($700!). The toilet was wobbly and not leveled, the kitchen kicktoe heater was not installed and pipe soldering failed and created small leaks everywhere. These guys are terrible! They were brought in by the general contractor, Marulli and Sons (Netwon, MA), not by us, so we had no idea they'd be so bad. Please see my report on Marulli which is just as terrible of an experience. We failed the pumbing inspection 3 times, until finally, the inspector himself came into our home to fix the scald preventers on the showers so we could pass inspection. This plumber took me to small claims court, even though I had to pay another plumber to come redo all his work. He should have his license revoked! BEWARE.

Barry plumbing sent someone over just a couple of days after I called. They arrived on time, and did the job quickly and professionally. They even spent some time with me explaining how to get optimal use of our house's radiators.

Dave is pleasant to deal with and does excellent work. He is honest and doesn't try to sell you more work than you need. He has also replaced a toilet for us in the past and did a great job. His workmen are polite and don't leave a mess, and also don't waste time in order to run up the bill. We've never had to call him back a second time because of anything left uncompleted.

VERY BAD. THEY INSTALLED WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A NEW VALVE IN THE SHOWER AND A SPECIAL KIND. HE SAID TO US, HE WAS GOING TO D'DADARRIO TO PICK IT UP, CAME BACK, INSTALLED IT AND FINISHED REPAIR, THE VALVE WAS NOT NEW, IT WAS AN OLD ONE HE GOT SOMEWHERE AND INSTALLED IT, IT WAS CLEARLY DEFECTIVE WHICH WE LEARNED AFTER AND THEY WOULD NOT COME BACK NOR OWN UP TO THEIR DEFECTIVE WORK. THEY ARE NEIGHBORHOOD PLUMBERS AND WE HAVE SEEN THEM ABOUT. THEY ARE POOR QUALITY AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. ANSWERING OF THE PHONES ON THEIR END IS IFFY AND ITS UNPROFESSIONAL AS WELL.

WE USE BARRY PLUMBING FOR ALL OF OUR PLUMBING NEEDS, AT OUR RENTAL PROPERTY, AND OUR OWN HOME. HE USED ONLY FIRST QUALITY PRODUCTS. THE WORKERS ARE ALWAYS CLEAN, FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. ALL PHONE CALLS ARE RETURNED IMMEDIATELY, AND WORK IS DONE ON A TIMELY BASIS. I WOULD NEVER TRUST OR USE ANYONE ELSE.
