Jim was very pleasant at first meeting, he came across true and reliable. I signed his contract and here's my side of the story. The contract was for an entire gut and removal of all old stuff and replacing pipes and new bath, walls and ceiling, I was to provide new toilet, floor, sink and vanity. Which I did. I was to supply my own electrician which I did and he had a plummer he used. First let me say if you need a new bathtub and new surround Jim is great at this and will stay on a 1 day time frame for that. BUT if you need entire as I did, I would choose different. In my job if you show up at a certain time for a certain appointment that appointment is for filled in allotted time or Id be fired. So as the phone "confusion" started I should have known better. 1st I had to call him 2 weeks after meeting to touch base, he said tub was shipped and due following Friday. Another week goes by I call to check again, Oh your tub was cracked I had to send it out and reorder. So now it has been 4 weeks "waiting" for parts before he can start. Our parts are finally in and he is ready to start only to have his truck go in the shop for 1 day...well that turned into 2 days so he said he'd start Wednesday so my electrician could do his part that night. I call Tues nite to confirm show up time for wed and he says "Oh I thought your electrician was coming wed" well yes he is BUT you haven't shown up yet to gut anything for him, your the contractor to rip out walls not my electrician. So he shows up THURSDAY and rips out the minimum my electrician will need, maybe at my house 2 hours and leaves. That's day 1. He said the entire job would take 3 possibly 4 days tops to do. Friday he shows up and guts tub area and installs new tub and walls with his plummer, just as he stated he would. As soon as they left we noticed a leak into my basement. I call him back and he has his plummer call me. I tell him its leaking through the floor and beams in the basement forming a puddle ( its Friday remember ) He says " can you put a bucket under it?" Umm no I don't want it leaking all weekend. He returns and after an hour of "patching" the old pipe he finally gives in and replaces the copper pipe stating its old pipe and it keeps getting pin hole breaks. Now mind you I assumed it was new pipe to start with, since replacing a 17yr old bathroom was warranted. Now Monday comes and he has his father to help him install the ceiling, then basically called it a day again after only a few hours. Ok anyone counting days? I was I took Tuesday off work because I assumed it would be done being its day 4. Tuesday morning comes and he arrives with NO plummer..When they left on Fri it was agreed the plummer was coming back Tues to finish. He worked maybe 4 or 5 hours Tues and again claimed that's all he could do because him plummer wasn't with him. Well on Friday he stated he was supposed to be. Now I have to return to work so I take pictures of stuff I am concerned about, my husband shows them to Jim and he agrees yes all that is done and re caulked on his way out as he cleans..Ok I'm fine with that..Lets jump to finish on FRIDAY 7days for those of you counting like I was, as he leaves Thurs he states to my husband that he has child plans on Fri and something, ummmmmmmmmmmm so are you saying you want to leave this bathroom unfinished until AFTER July 4th??? Its decided he will show Fri at 9am so I can see him and go over last min things as this should be the last day, I have to leave for work myself at 9:45. But 9:25 he hasn't shown up yet. I call to see if hes on his way ( you'd think knowing there was a time limit he would have called me if he was running late) Yes he's on his way will be soon..he arrives 9:30 and starts hooking up his trailer. I go out and remind him I must leave at 9:45. He comes in we chat. I pay him and run out. Assuming the things I had taken pics of earlier would be also done. well I arrive home after work and they are no major things but the little things you notice since you just had an ugly bathroom redone. A gap at door plate leaving a seam not caulked by tub, the walls not wiped down and coated in brown dust ( walls are white). Fine I'm just glad its done at this point. The holiday weekend starts, our sink is leaking, we look underneath and assume its a loose part, we tighten and its OK. By wed it is leaking again and now my husband takes the drain off only to realize it was a broken seam at the drain filed with gooey caulk to cover and coat the broken seal. Now why not just tell us and we run to the hardware store while you are there and we fix it? Same thing I wonder on why they didn't replace old copper pipe in the first place. Is my bathroom pretty now ...yes..was it ugly before ...yes..do I want to go through any of this again NO..so again..use Jim if you have a simple tub and wall redo. Not an entire redo. Thats my opinion I hope it helps you

Jim with and his wife Victoria explained everything start to finish at the sales call. The supply's arrived in about 2 weeks. Jim scheduled the job and was promptly on time. He worked like a horse all day. I don't think we every saw him take a break! Our bathroom was done start to finish by 3:30pm. It is now our favorite room in our house! Highly Recommend!
Description of Work: My wife and I were very excited to have our old moldy tub replaced with a new walk-in shower and decorative walls with glass doors.
