From the quote: "This Service is our way of getting to intimately know your water feature. We use this service as a tool to diagnose and get acquainted with your particular water feature. We literally get to the bottom of it so we can properly educate you on what you have, how it works, what’s missing or broken, and any recommended improvements. At the end of the process you are left with a clean water feature, a clear understanding, and a written report I contacted NE Aquatic Landscaping to have our frog pond serviced. I was promised that all existing wildlife would be preserved. It was not. They killed everything save for one bullfrog. When I spoke with Tim he told me that tadpoles, frogs, toads, pollywogs, everything would be preserved in an aerated tank while the cleaning was done. It was not. Before they arrived my pond had hundred of regular tadpoles, bullfrog tadpoles in various stages of development, and lots of critters that presumably the resident frogs and neighboring toads eat. They are all gone now. On top of that, they never asked me where to dump the leaves from the pond and they took it upon themselves to dump it at the tree line crushing all the ferns that grow along the edge. So they killed almost everything and made a mess of the yard. I was able to shovel the leaves (and dead pond life) into the woods, but I shouldn't have to do that. Anyway, after the crew left I contacted NE Aquatic and they called me back almost immediately apologizing for what happened and telling me how they were going to make it OK. That was over two weeks ago and not a peep since. I am no longer interested in them killing anything else so we will figure out restocking the pond on our own. The quote for this service was $850. I balked at that number but figured it would be worth it to get the pond professionally serviced. It was important to us that the pond be as undisturbed as possible. As it turns out I could have saved that money and hired some local kids to do the same terrible job at a fraction of the price. This was a highly disappointing experience and a firm NO when it comes to recommending them to service your pond. If you care about what's living in your pond, please stay away from this company. I never received any written report. I was not given a post-service consultation to discuss next steps even though this was promised in the quote.
