+ 0 morei called Donarumo to install a kitchen sink. we arranged for him to do the work on MLK day. 10.30 that morning there was no sign of the plumber. i texted him and asked when he would be coming over. NO REPLY NO CALL i texted him again on Tuesday saying "if you dont want to do the work then say so and i'll get someone else to do it". he called me a few minutes later and said sorry for the no show and to pick any other day and "they would be there". we arranged for Thursday morning. AGAIN NO SHOW.....NO CALL if you want a plumbing job done then skip this guy..... WASTE OF TIME

+ -1 moreMatt and his coworkers put everything in seamlessly, they even got me a deal on the service policy when the orginal boiler than I wanted was clearly not the right size according to my measurements and theirs. They came bacl twice at no extra charge, only with their kind attitude and efficient work ethic. I also appreciated how respectfully they work together and how they liked my dog! I am not kidding. Matt grew up in Chelsea with his father who owns the business and this is how he learned, He shared a few stories about his father, their dog and their family business, Personally, this is type of company one dreams of and wants to support. Description of Work: I had to replace my old water heater quickly and I did not anticipate this. After called other plumbers and getting really high prices both for the labor and for the cost of the boiler, I found Matt Donarumo through Home Depot. Matt is like an angel plumber. He works with his father, it is a family owned business in Chelsea. Matt is so polite, responsive, excellent at his job, and highly invested in helping me to find the right boiler at the right price and having to fit it into a very tight space in my building. I was so impressed by him an reassured at the way he expained everything to me so that I understood.

Description of Work: Drew Donarumo Plumbing and Heating, Wow! One word I would use to characterize this outfit, FAST. After purchasing a new home that needed quick sink repiar, washer dryer installation, and pipe repairs with our hot water tank, Drew was over within 18 hours of our closing and had a permit pulled to add a full bathroom in 48 hours. Drew’s itemized quotes are very timely and reasonable compared to his competition, and his good hearted nature proves easy to work with ANY homeowner. I used Donarumo Plumbing and Heating for a number of items around my house following our closing and to add a full bathroom in my unfinished basement. Drew had his crew in and out within five days of first shaking hands with the guy- remarkable timing and accountability on his part. The basement work involved extensive subgrade digging which required pulling up the foundation to run pipes. Drew and his crew were diligent to make sure none of the dirt was tracked around our house (new hardwood floors), and I was amazed at how clean the jobsite was after returning home from work. Drew’s crew is capable of doing everything from fixing small issues to tarring up foundations for new projects and provided finish work that will leave your home looking a lot better than what you had before. It goes without saying, but I would highly recommend this outfit to any friends and family. I seldom write reviews for any one online posts, but the work brought forth by Drew Donarumo Plumbing and Heating is commensurate with writing favorable reviews on any site out there. Description of Work: There were 2 visits. One to replace a garbage disposal and a 2nd to replace the hoses on my washing machine and the dryer hose.

+ -1 moreWould never use this company again? Getting back to the customers call is basic to stay in business. If can not even perform the basic, how would the customer trust for the job. Thumbs down.
Description of Work: Called and left the message. Got a call back from Drew. Came to my place and gave me an estimate. After that, never heard back from him. ??? I am not sure if they are insterested in business.

+ -1 moreVery well. Drew is fast, prompt, skilled, competent...and expensive. Can't have everything! He picks up the phone, comes immediately when called (twice, the carpenter moved things and Drew was out the next day to do his part), and is able to accomodate changes. I've used him three times previously for smaller jobs, feel that his reliability is worth the price charged, and will use him in the future.
Description of Work: Drew just finished the rough work for a re-working of the plumbing on a small single family home I bought. He removed the pre-existing plumbing back to the sewer outtake, put in new hookups for the kitchen, bath, and washer/dryer, and moved a gas line. He was there in person for the better part of the first day, had two other guys who were with him that returned to complete the intial work, then came back personally for the final day.

+ -1 moreOverall, it is one of the worst contracting experiences ever. Donarumo did not show up when promised, sent in junior staff instead of showing up himself as promised, took more than twice the quoted time (one week versus 3 days) and the job was never completed. another plumber had to be called. The bathroom sink and shower valve were improperly installed and had to be redone. The basement sewer line plumbing had to be moved twice (which he did after a complaint). He demonstrates no experience whatsoever in residential plumbing. His work and his workers were sloppy and inconsistent. In addition, he broke my basement window and dropped sewer pipe on my washer denting it both of which were never fixed. Stay as far away from this guy and his partner in crime Devin Kirby. Incidentally, he claims to be a plumbing inspector in Chelsea. He left us and our tenants without running water at all, even no toilet!
Description of Work: Install new plumbing for bathroom, kitchen and replace main waste pipe to sewer line; move steam pipes.
