The Siding Guy

We called 4 contractors for estimates 3 showed. Siding guy came in a little higher than the others but I felt more confidant with Joe. I asked him how we pay and he said pay when finished, I said suppose I do not like it he said don't pay. That alone said something in my mind. My husband is a perfectionist and he as very pleased with work. When they first started he said right off bat these guys are good. Joe's team came when they said would be there, worked hard all day, were very professional. We asked Joe to give us a few more estimates in the spring for jobs we are going to do. Everything went well overall. He was punctual and efficient. We called him twice. Once for an estimate for our insurance company and once to come and do the job. He got back to us quickly on both occasions. I would definitely recommend him.

We found The Siding Guy in a recent Angie's List mailing. Pretty simple - I called on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised that somebody picked up and said he could swing by to give us an estimate either that day or early that week. After 5 days with no contact I called back and left a message to see if the guy was coming. Two days later I have given up.

The Siding Guy arrived promptly at 7:00AM as promised. Joe and his crew were very professional and a joy to work with. They are extremely hard working and put in long days. The project lasted about 7 days and came out spectacular. At the end of the job the yard was cleaned up and left as they found it. We have gotten several comments on how nice the house looks. We are delighted with the end product and would highly recommend the Siding Guy and crew. We plan on using them again when our roof needs to be replaced.

Joe and his team were terrific. I talked to quite a few contractors and it was an easy choice for me. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We needed to have our deck redone and wanted to use a composite material. Neither my husband or I had too much knowledge about this type of material. Joe was great about explaining the product to us and patient while we came up to speed with our many questions! The work came out beautiful! Found Joe on Angies list and called him and got one of three quotes. He showed up when he said he would and was personable and polite. He quoted a reasonable price and began the work about when he said he would. The work was done quickly and skillfully. The crew was there exactly on time and worked hard all day. The work site was kept clean. The work was done professionally with meticulous care and completed quickly.You owe it to yourself to call Joe if you need siding work done.

First of all, Joe and this crew of experienced craftsman are top shelf and this is a company where a handshake means something!. I loved the fact that the owner and salesman was part of the workcrew, that is truly standing behind your work. The work ethic was amazing, putting in two weeks of 12 + hours/day 4days/week on average even braving nearly 1 full week of near 100F temperatures. When the project started our neighbors commented that this crew of guys looked like a "bunch of ants", systematically tearing down and rebuilding the house into a home that has ignited a sort or "siding envy" in the neighborhood. These guys were all respective of the property, us and the neighbors and we could not have been happier with the attitude and professionalism. This process is inherintly messy but foundation plantings, etc were worked around with as much care that could be afforded in order to get the job done plus the crew was always mindful of clean up. Joe was very communicative, asking input and answering questions as needed plus he was always assuring we were happy throughout the process. The only misstep was arrival of an unpainted patio door but this was taken care of expediently, professionally painted by a custom Harley shop...somehow that was a perfect choice! Our simple two story home now makes a statement and we are thankful to have chosen the Siding Guy...these guys are cool, good at what they do and I highly recommend!

Joe and his team did absolutely top quality work. Superb attention to detail. It has been 10 months and we haven't had any problems with water or anything. Joe accommodated our schedule (a child was on the way) and tailored the job to our wishes. Joe was on site with his guys, who were dynamite tradesmen. The overall look of our house improved dramatically, especially what they did with they front entry. Joe visited a couple months after the job to check that we were satisfied.

The experience with Joe and his crew was second to none. Joe is straight forward, honest, and pleasure to deal with. He was on the job every day and made sure everything was done to his, and my satisfaction. Both himself and his crew were on time every day until the job was completed. The crew was very polite and completely respectful of us and the property. There is no question that Joe and his crew go far above and beyond what is expected to make sure that the experience is top notch. The work was meticulous. We get compliments all the time on how nice the house looks. I recommend the siding guy to everybody I know and will definitely have him back again to do other work as I need it.

I can't say enough good things about Joe and his crew. The results were at and above expectation. Joe was very knowledgeable and guided us through the product selections and showed us all the materials he would be using. We went with the Alside product line and are very happy that we did. We chose to go with the longer 25ft vinyl lengths of siding and boy what a difference it made comparable to my neighbors. They are ENVIOUS!! I have 2 small seams in the back of my house which is about 1600 ft square. The quality of work was outstanding, results above expectation and a pleasure to work with Joe and his team. We increased our home & aesthetic value significantly all thanks to JOE "The Siding Guy". I would write for hours to share all the tips and education that Joe imparted during our working together. We did have a lot of rain during the 2 weeks it took to complete the job. Can't fight mother nature. Joe was on the job with his crew as weather permitted by 7AM. Now I am bringing him back to build our shed and maybe a new deck down the road. If you want quality, a reasonable price and a contractor who cares Joe is your guy! Last fall I hired Joe to do the siding on my house, which was perfect from start to finish (and I was happy to report that here on Angie's List too). During the course of that work, I told Joe he could do whatever he wanted to the deck, because I hoped to replace it in the Spring. Joe said, "Really? You know I do decks too, right?" Well, I didn't. And I had already gotten a couple of quotes. And I don't want to exercise contractors by getting a ton of quotes (although 3 for a job over $10,000 seems appropriate to me). So my wife and I told Joe what we wanted and he quoted it. It was reasonably close to the others (the composite decking and rails were the real price driver here!). We worked with Joe on the available material options and settled in on Azek, which helped ease some of the price burden while still giving us excellent quality product and look. The litmus test was asking Joe if he'd put it on his house. Of the 3 options he gave us, he said he'd put 2 on his house but not the other one. And since we had a 100% perfect experience with Joe and his crew in the fall, even though we had heard great things about the other 2 companies that quoted the job, we didn't care. The choice was very easy. Go with Joe. We didn't bother to have anyone else come back and quote the new level we (she!!) decided we wanted. We knew we could trust Joe, his crew, and most of all his integrity to give us a very fair price. Which he did. He said 3 days... it was 3 days... He had my wife come sit on the new bench he fabricated from scratch to make sure it was exactly what she wanted. Crew was there ready to go promptly at 7am, and they finished for the night after 5pm each day. Everything was done just as respectfully to our property and our family as it was in the fall. I have had some pretty good luck with contractors. And one amazingly terrible experience too (our first, which taught us a lot). Joe, The Siding Guy, and his crew, have far exceeded our hopes and expectations, blowing everyone else away. I can't say enough how awesome Joe and his crew are, and wish them (and you) all the best going forward.

Joe & his team are awesome. Joe is a true business man and very honest. I was kept up-to-date about when the work would be performed and Joe & his crew were punctual the day of work. They performed everything we discussed and cleaned up after themselves. We would hire his company again.

Everything about this company is top notch. We had gutters installed for the first time. The workers were professional, courteous, on time and neat. The job was well done and they left the place immaculate when they were done. After the first rain, I had a question. A worker was here within 24 hours and his biggest concern was that we were happy with the job. He added some extra caulking and told us to be sure to call him immediately if we had any other questions. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

They were on time and worked throughout the day, they started on a Wednesday and were finished by the folllowing Wednesday and that was without working on the weekends, they cleaned up after each day and were very respectful of the property. I am very satisfied with the work and the price was the lowest of 3 other estimates that I have gotten and other companies gave me a two week or more time frame to complete the job.

iThe job went very well. He arrived promptly for the inital appointment and provided an estimate the same day. He explained the features of the various different products available and made recommendations about what would fit our needs. We decided that the siding was not in the budget at the time and told him to go ahead on the rest of the work. He gave us a lead time of 5 to 6 weeks before the work could begin. He ended up being to start work before then, which was very fortunate. A tree limb had fallen on our house during the October snow storm. His crew very graciously removed it (something we were unable to get a tree service to do) and set right to work. Joe's crew discovered a large hole in the sheeting of our house that was likely the source of a leak in our dining room. They did an excellent job flashing around a solarium that had also leaked extensively. Joe ensured that the site was kept neat, one crew member was dedicated to nothing but sweeping up debris. The whole job was forecasted to take perhaps 3 days but ended up being done after two. A few months later, Joe called us to verify that everything was still to our satisfaction. We hope to have Joe come back and side the house this year, fingers crossed!

Joe is a pleasure to work with, very accessible and down to earth, willing to accommodate particular and custom wishes with a finicky owner. Overall Joe very much has the attitude that pleasing his customer comes first. To begin with Joe told me about the Mass Saves program (before they began advertising so heavily) this resulted in our getting blown insulation installed in our house at a 75% savings, and getting a no-interest loan for the window portion of the job. There were multiple delays associated with this, through which Joe was very accommodating. Though vinyl clap style siding was my last choice, budget forced me to go with it. Joe steered me toward options that gave us a house with no ugly seems at all, and with nicer than average corners and window trim, The final results are beautiful! Once the job got underway everything went very smoothly. They committed to my house till it was done (not jumping around to different projects) Joe works with one crew that he has carefully picked, the senior members seem to have been with Joe for quite a while and are very experienced. Joe was very accommodating to my odd work schedule/requirements. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work and the overall outcome. Joe is very particular about doing things right and being very careful about water flow (preventing leaks to the inside of the siding and window enclosures/trim.) ...it's one of the big reasons I hired him, and the work on my house doesn't disappoint. Speaking of aluminum window trim... ours is beautiful, some of the best I've ever seen, very well done. Two items of advice for folks considering such a job. 1- If you're willing, it might be possible to remove some exterior trim and get the best possible measurements for replacement windows. You always have to go with slightly smaller windows when replacing... but this extra step could help minimize that shrink. No fault to Joe here... just something I wished I'd realized at the beginning. 2- With anytime you hire a contractor, the more clear you can be up front and along the way about pricing of extras (vs. whats included in the quoted price) the happier both of you will be at the end. (who likes to be surprised?). Joe was very good in this regard.

Joe was very flexible about working around our other projects. He put off starting his work until we could get our patio contractor to remove an old wooden deck, and then sent guys over on a Saturday morning to remove the aluminum siding so that the insulation installers could start Monday morning and work more easily with the underlying exterior. Once the insulation work was complete, Joe and his crew came in and began their piece, working from 7 AM to after 6 each day. The project was completed within three weeks, even having to deal with weather, except for the front door. That door was actually delayed almost two months due to problems with the supplier Joe used, but when the door arrived unstained (the light oak stain supposedly being the cause of all the delays), Joe's carpenter spent two days at our house staining the door himself and overseeing the installation. Joe then told us that there would be no charge for either the door or the time and labor involved in the installation, because of the delay and inconvenience to us. The siding looks amazing and we have received many compliments on it. The meticulous attention to details such as careful cutting on the trim and special pieces to accommodate outdoor faucets and lights make it look custom-made. We could not be happier with the final outcome nor with our interactions with Joe and his crew. They were always polite, considerate and punctual and cleaned up after themselves. We were a bit dismayed by how much of our foundation plantings had to be cut back to allow them to work, but the shrubs and ivy have recovered nicely as they assured us they would. We would definitely recommend Joe to anyone considering a similar project.

The experience was very good. The team was polite and very helpful answering any questions. They did the work we asked to have done. They showed up on time the first day and cleaned up very well on the third day. They had most of the roof done the first day and just made it with sonme rain coming. We were pleased with the final product and the experience of working with Joe. .

Joe was a life saver. The contractor who had done a good job installing windows and done most of the siding over an extended period of time became sidelined with an injury at another job site and my house was not water tight and there was still significant work needed to complete the siding, and install the gutters. I found THE SIDING GUY on Angie’s list and the reviews accurately reflect my entire EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT experience with Joe and his crew. I called Joe and explained my situation, and he had someone come by and look at the job. He then gave me a quote for the work, and told me he could do the job with his crew in one day and given my situation would fit me in when he completed his current job and before starting his next job (very admirable given how others contractors are working semi-attentively at multiple places at one time). Joe was good to his word – exactly – in everyway. Joe and his crew arrived exactly at 7 AM and were up on the ladders and working within 5 minutes and kept working until the job was completed that day for the exact price he had quoted me. They were very professional, courteous and hard working – totally attentive to their work and seeming to very much enjoy their work as well. My original contractor came to observe Joe and his crew work, and found their work to be so good that he then arranged for Joe to work at another of his job sites. In addition, as Joe said he’d do, just now (even though it’s the holiday season) Joe called to check that everything he had done was still to my satisfaction, in case I had made some observations over the past 6 weeks that required his attention. I have had several contractors work at my house over the past 15 years, and Joe, THE SIDING GUY is the only one that I would unquestionably hire again and recommend very highly without any reservations.

WOW!! AWESOME!! Joe Wink and his experienced crew earn an A+ from this picky homeowner and his boss (my wife). You could set your watch by these guys -- the crew was there and ready to go at 6:45am, and started work promptly at 7am. They were experienced, knew what they were doing, were efficient as a crew, and were an absolute pleasure. They did everything they could do to make sure we were happy. They even did a few extra things because as Joe said "it was the right thing to do, and I want everything associated with my work to be perfect and for you to be happy." We were happy to provide coffee and baked goods for the crew at 10am each day (happy bellies are happy siders?), and we could tell that the crew appreciated that. In any case, everything about the whole deal was perfect, and I have no doubt, based on reading on Angie's List, as well as observing the work, that there will be no issues whatsoever with this work. I learned that Joe has over 37 years in the business (he started at 13!), and it shows. The guys were neat, respectful, and helpful. I'm sure the weather didn't hurt, but the job was done really, really fast, too. Cannot say enough good things about Joe Wink, The Siding Guy!

The Siding Guy came looked at my damaged area pointed out several ares that needed service and came back and fixed and repaired my siding.

The job was pulled off without a hitch. My house was in despirate need of siding and water proofing. Joe and his crew came in and did a bang up job on my house. All of my neighbors and friends are impressed with the results! I got a bout 7 quotes for the job and Joe was the lowest and really knows his craft. Save time, save money, go with Joe.
