Thought the price was excessive. $560 for about 2 hours work with minimal material used.

The cost to replace a leaky shut-off valve was high, but I was told what the cost would be before the work began.

Very responsive to a last minute request. I was surprised that it cost me $542 to disconnect an old gas stove and reconnect a new gas stove. Seems high for a job that takes 30mins in total time. That being said I know nothing about plumbing so this might be what this type of job costs.

Gas furnace had short cycling problem during coldest days in January 2022 in MA. A technician showed up 9 AM for a 8AM appointment (other 2 places I called gave me no appointments). He checked around but didn't seem to have any idea what was wrong. Then I suggested to him that there was sound of splashing water in the inducer fan compartment. He then concluded that a job of 2 hours needed to take out the inducer fan and clean the connecting tubes. For that he estimate a service fee of $700. If that didn't solve the problem, I would need to replace the fan with a new one which is $1000. If that still failed, I need to install a new furnace. I turned down the service, although it was freezing cold outside. 700 is too much to me. So I watched a video online and took out the inducer fan myself. No water came out of the fan. It took 3 screws and a clamp to take out the fan. The good part about Milltown is that they only charge a flat fee to diagnose the problem, whereas other nearby businesses charge by hour no matter the result. So maybe I still will hire Milltown next time. I only wish I get a more competant technician.

Fred, the owner, is great and runs an honest operation and only hires the utmost talented professionals. I have required service multiple times on my heating system and the one tech that always comes out and can make my system work every time is Jeff. He is always extremely patient with me and is always professional. As many times as he has been out to my home, he never expresses frustration for needing to return. Fred and Jeff have gone above and beyond to make hiring Milltown a 100% positive experience.

Paid $19,970 for a new combi gas unit for a 3 bedroom home. That was nearly $10,000 higher than another quote we received, of course because it was the winter and it was freezing out, we couldn't wait for the other contractor. I will say they did good work, and did it quickly without issue, the value just isn't there. If it is an emergency, by all means, use them. If you have time to get additional quotes, go elsewhere.

Easy to make appointment, communication is good and clear, received phone call prior to the technician showing up on time for the appointment. Jonathan, the technician, did a great job explaining things, providing quote up front, and replacing the faulty fixture. I do recommend Milltown, and will definitely consider using them again for my next plumbing need.
