Milltown Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electrical - HVAC

We had milltown come to our house when we were having trouble with our heat. It was an easy fix but they noticed an issue with an air elimination vent that had been capped off, which was cause a lot of problems. Over the years, many plumbers have come in to work on this system... Not one ever noticed! Kevin from Milltown, spotted it right away.

There is an $85 charge for a technician to just show up, so if you get an estimate and want to shop around, you still owe $85. Kinda forces you to just have them do the repair. But the technician did good work and was very professional.

I was told that someone would call the day before to confirm the appointment, and go over prices, but that didn't happen. But when I called the morning of the appointment, they confirmed that the technician was on the way. Our window was 8:30- 10:30 and Kevin arrived at 8:45ish. Before starting the work, he contacted his office, and gave us a price that was acceptable. He removed our old oil-fired hot water heater, and when he replaced it with the new one, he made sure that all of the pipes connecting were even and straight, which they were not on the original one. He was very neat, and completed the work in a timely manner. Kevin was also polite, and conscientious.

The cost was little higher than expected.

We had a great first experience with Milltown. We had three employees in our home addressing two different problems, and I found all to be knowledgeable and professional. We have already re-booked Milltown for another issue.

They were very courteous. When a plate in my kitchen broke because of the vibration from the work, both workers came up and asked about it and wanted to make sure it wasn't a valuable piece. That's what I call being mindful.

They were punctual and courteous. Mike figured out the system that had to be removed. He also figured out how to refit the connections to the refrigerator and sink despensor after the water softener was removed.

Yes - Someone (Cayla) picked up the phone today in the middle of a snowstorm while my regular plumber's business was closed! A technician was sent to may house as soon as one was available. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem with the water level in my boiler before serious damage could have been done to the boiler. He also did a full maintenance checkup to be sure there were no other problems, and explained the water level problem and fix to me. We're still in the middle of the snowstorm and the boiler is humming along nicely, keeping the house warm. What a relief!!

Milltown plumbing was very professional. Scheduling the appointment was fast and easy. The technician arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the problem with my boiler very quickly. The tech was very polite and considerate of our home (he wore plastic covers over his boots). I would use them again.

Overall the work was done in a timely and professional manner. I had a slight problem after the technician left but it was remedied quickly.

Milltown was the third HVAC/Plumbing contractor I contacted to repair the vent pipe on my furnace. Honestly, I think I could have done the work myself, given that the pipe is simply a 2" PVC. But, this is the outgoing flue pipe, and I wanted to make sure it was done by a licensed plumber. The technician did an ok job, he broke the pipe rather than cut it, which resulted in a little piece falling into the pump that vents the exhaust gases from the furnace. But they came when they said they would and they did the repair for the price quoted. I would recommend them and hire them again.
