We invoice monthly, accept your credit card payments, and travel the extra mile to reach your specific requests during your weekly maintenance visits. I am not sure why you included that you "will not re-hire" into the review considering you have not cancelled your services and we have provided an additional (2) visits after this review was posted. Badly! I asked them to replant from my woodland stock of extra plants. I explained that the rare old-form Lillium bulbs cut down were irreplaceable. All I got was a bill.
Description of Work: Mowed lawn & trimmed edges. Unfortunately cut down precious perennials just prior to budding & blooming. Cut huge swath through 25 year growth of ground cover leaving a gaping 4 feet of cleared-to-the-soil area. I had nurtured that ground cover to get it to spread in the copse of trees. Precious plants from my mom's house in New York.

[member name removed], I am very sorry to hear (again) that our services did not work our for you. I am unsure of what inspired this negative review 7 months after the service was performed. You had contacted me in June via email to inquire about our mowing services. Your heavily shaded yard was severly neglected and with out any doubt untouched for months. I was able to send you pricing for our mowing services, and mentioned that the first cut would most likely cost double due to the overgrowth of the lawn. Upon arriving to the property, it was nearly impossible to see any borders, plants, or lawn ornaments considering the lawn was up over our knees! I do feel that the crew did a great job considering the condition of the property. If I could make any changes, I would have declined to service your property. We performed a service as best and carefully as possible. The perennials you mentioned that were damaged were buried under debris, leaves, and covered over with 2' of overgrown grass. I responded to your complaints after the service was completed. I arrived to your property, inspected the damages to the BURIED garden lights that were nearly a decade old buried under the previous years leaves. It was clear that none of these plants nor ornaments you mentioned were even visible to myself or the crew. I even spent over an hour refiguring a home made irrigation system you had in the front yard. Normally our customers show a little consideration and understand that some damages to plants will naturally occur when there is no existing border between lawn and plants. On another note, the invoice you received was never paid.

Description of Work: Brought in, spread and graded loam, planted hydroseed lawn. Although done a year ago, I waited to see how it all turned out - at first blush was concerned about a few thin areas and winter kill. Watered extensively the fall of 2013, but virtually none this year. Despite being a dry year, the lawn came out spectacularly. Gervais addressed our concerns and said they would revisit if necessary. It wasn't necessary. They brought in more loam than the initial bid, at no extra cost. They were professional in all aspects. Very satisfied with the outcome.

Install new Sprinkler system. My lawn required about 25 sprinkler heads. Brian suggested I use the rain and sun sensor which they have installed. They have come out to fine tune the system few time on my request after installation and make changes I requested to meet my needs. They also came out to winterize the system for the first year. I'm generally happy with the work and no issues. Looking forward to top performance from the system and equally great service from Brian and his team for the coming years for the warranty coverage. So far this is my first year since installation, will provide update next year if there is anything new to report.
