They showed up right on time. The crew - Danny, Peter and Geraldo - were very professional and friendly. The moved everything with care.

Requested an onsite estimate through their website (and they were the first company to respond to my request), so I scheduled an appointment with arrival between 1:30-2pm (and had email confirmation of the appt several days prior); by 2:20 no one had shown up and no phone call, so I called to inquire. Through some (admitted) mishap on their end, their estimator was on the North Shore and would not make it to our appointment. The gentleman I spoke with offered to leave immediately to come and provide an estimate (the reason I gave a B for responsiveness), which I appreciate, but unfortunately I had another appointment for when he thought he would arrive. Disappointing, but won't use a company who I can't count on to show up to a prescheduled (and confirmed) appointment, particularly when there's no phone call initiated by them.

This move was made on behalf of local historical society and consisted of the collection of large format glass negatives. The negatives represented the body of work from a local 19th century photo studio. The mover arrived early and set right to work. They were careful but quick. Once that was done they needed to go to a different location to pick up a 5 foot by 6 foot framed photo montage from a local fraternal organization. All of this was then moved to the Historical Society's storage rooms in the Malden Library. Quick, efficient, punctual and at a good price.

I had an EMERGENCY! The movers I scheduled way in advance flaked on me three days before my move and cancelled. Bad bad people! I went onto Angie's List and sent messages to about ten companies asking for availability. Roadrunner responded super quickly, in a friendly and empathetic tone. Calling the next day was also really pleasant - they turned a bad situation around. These guys handled a move from a very tight space that was chock full of stuff to my new house easily and pleasantly. I had heavy items to throw into a dumpster, which they did without complaint. They were quick, careful with my belongings, and friendly. A move is always tough - it really helps when you have a nice crew that is on time, does the job timely, doesn't complain and makes sure everything is in the right place before they leave. The move took about 7 hours, including travel, with a four man crew. I hope I don't move for a long time to come - but if I do need to - I'm calling these guys!

Roadrunner Moving and Storage did such an excellent job several years ago with two moves that we decided to use them again. As usual, the office staff was very personable and professional. We were able to get an estimate by updating via email the inventory from when they moved us to Northampton two years ago. We were able to schedule the move close to our ideal moving day. On July 7, they loaded our belongings in Northampton; on July 8 they unloaded them at our new house in Maynard. (Except for big screen TVs and computers, we packed ourselves.) As was the case two years ago, the temps both day were around 90; despite that, they worked quickly and efficiently. It took three guys about 4 hours on both ends (not including travel time). Danny, who was part of the crew two years, was the supervisor this time. He is excellent. Professional, personable, and hard-working. The unload in Maynard was particularly challenging because the parking area was a distance from our condo and the unit has four finished floors, the top one required a sharp turn to the stairs leading to it. The guys were great at problem-solving (e.g., removing a door, disassembling a futon) and were also flexible and accommodating (e.g., moving a heavy exercise bike to the third floor after we initially had them place it in the basement). All of stuff arrived intact and there were no nicks, scrapes, etc. to the walls in either condo, which can sometimes happen with a move. I highly recommend Roadrunner Moving & Storage.

Dave was a dream to work with, from start to finish; Sabrina and the other Roadrunner people were very competent, responsive, and courteous too. When we were interviewing moving companies and getting estimates, Dave gave us good info not only about our specific move but also about the industry in general, and a number of these tips helped us better compare the various companies and their services. Although my husband and I had both moved many times, we are convinced that nobody does it often enough to be as aware of industry practices and potential problem areas as someone on the inside, and so this was invaluable help. Our moving process was a complicated one involving two stages over a period of months, having the pickup done without our being on site, and the movers having to deal with boxes and bins we'd packed ourselves. At every stage, we were able to easily communicate with the Roadrunner people to get answers to questions and make arrangements. They were very responsive, good-humored, and flexible, and they seemed to do their best to accommodate our schedule and circumstances. We did have a bit of breakage, not a lot (though not of anything we'd packed ourselves), but of loose pieces such as a standing mirror, a flagpole, and a couple of other items that probably didn't have enough padding or securing and so shifted during the long drive. There was a $420 charge for materials that we didn't think to ask about immediately, no doubt for the three quilted moving blankets, a number of heavy wardrobe boxes, and perhaps the packing the movers did before loading, and we felt this was probably reasonable charge. We had to wait a week longer than we'd hoped for delivery due to conflicts with their schedule, but this was manageable for us. And the unloaders didn't stack our many boxes, bins, and loose goods on the pallets we asked them to use, instead putting them directly on the concrete shop floor, but since I wasn't standing by supervising, we think that that miscommunication should be chalked up to the fact that, inevitably, a few such things do happen during every move, regardless of the care and experience of everyone involved. By and large ours went very well. We feel confident of Roadrunner's competence and integrity, and in a business like this one, that is critical. They are a small company that has competed successfully in a business where hidden charges and other unethical practices are rampant, and have shown that treating people fairly and doing honest work can still be a successful business strategy. As a result, we feel comfortable recommending them highly and wouldn't hesitate to work with them should we move again.

They’re excellent. The price was high but they were worth it. You get what you pay for. They were wonderful.

Dave, Martin, and Sabrina are fantastic to deal with, extremely professional and helpful. They actually make the moving process almost something to look forward too, as they are very reassuring and help to de-stress the process as much as possible. This is all before hanging up the phone. Once the moving truck arrives (on time) this is when the real magic happens. This was the second time that i have had the PLEASURE of hiring Roadrunner to move me and the teams that these guys put together are phenomenal. Bonus: They do not sub contract the work, it is their guys and their trucks, top notch service all around. Looking at a 4th floor walk up with the tight turns and narrow stairs is daunting enough just for a casual visit or bringing out the trash, however these guys never stop...never stop moving, never stop smiling, never stop remaining professional no matter the situation or size of the dresser that they have to maneuver. I could go on and on about how amazing they are from start to finish. In full disclosure the total cost also included $150 for city parking permit and $75 for the extra stairs in the walk up. .

The staff at Roadrunner were highly professional, always punctual, and consistently provided good communication. The initial meeting for an estimate was on time and a pleasant experience. They provided a lot of pointers for packing and staging - effectively showing us how to reduce the cost of the overall move. They accommodated some changes without trouble - including packing and transporting the contents of an off site storage shed. On the day of the move, they also helped with cleaning out some bulky items at the house we were moving to that were left behind by the previous occupants. Moving is an incredibly stressful time, and it was a great relief to work with a company that reduced that stress. The final cost came in less than the estimate, all of our stuff was transported, and nothing was damaged. I couldn't be more pleased and have no reservations in recommending Roadrunner for moving services.

It went great. I packed up everything I wanted removed from the house. The 2 man crew was very efficient and packed up the truck in just over an hour. There were several smaller items that they placed into wardrobe boxes to maximize the space in our storage vaults. They arrived a little late due to circumstances outside their control, but they were so professional and efficient about moving things that they were done well before the original estimated time. This also decreased the cost from the original estimate which is a bonus. I would also like to add that communication with both the crew onsite and Sabrina and Martin via phone/email has been wonderful. Everyone is very responsive which is important when you have so many other issues to think about. I will be working with them again throughout our move and I am sure everything will go smoothly.

Great. On time. Very careful with our equipment. Cannot recommend highly enough. 5 stars. Not one piece out of the boxes was broken. Excellent move. Professional and helpful on both ends of the move.

I have had plenty of experiences with movers in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. It is a difficult business and there are varying degrees of competence and care. Roadrunner did an absolutely wonderful job for me. They showed up as promised to provide an estimate, answered all of my very detailed and concerned questions about my precious cargo, arrived as promised to move my things and arrived in a timely fashion at the destination, with plenty of notification as to the time of delivery. My things arrived in one piece and undamaged and on time. What more could you possibly want from a moving experience??? I would definitely use this company again and recommend them without reservation based on my experience.

We've moved several times in the past few years. We've used low-cost local movers, national-brand-name van lines, and high-quality (and high-cost) custom movers. Roadrunner was less expensive than all but the cheapest ... higher-quality than all but the custom movers ... and the most reliable and professional of the bunch. No date was missed ... no item was lost or damaged ... no box was mislabeled ... and no detail was overlooked.

We moved from our 2nd floor condo in Natick to our house in Maynard. Dave and Sabrina were very responsive and polite setting up our requests, with great suggestions. We moved out the day before our closing and in the day after. Paolo, Matt and Steven were terrific on-site. Very careful with everything and extremely pleasant to work with. They definitely live up to their Roadrunner name because these guys moved fast! They showed up right on time the day we moved in and helped get everything right where we wanted it. Excellent service from the office to the guys on the ground.

We moved out of our condo on 9/30/2013 and had to store our furniture for 6 weeks. The crew worked diligently, wrapping our furniture, packing our household items and the efficiency was truly something to witness. We moved into our new condo 11/13/2013 and they unwrapped, assembled and moved everything so fast and with extreme care and sometimes moving something twice because we decided to put the item on another wall. They were so obliging and courteous through both moves. Roadrunner was truly the bright light in a very rough few months where many things went wrong. We hope this is our last move but we wouldn't hesitate to call Roadrunner Moving and Storage because they were TERRIFIC. Martin, Dave and Sabrina were always a phone call away and truly helpful with the whole process. Paulo and Stephen were there for both moves and they very courteous, thorough and professional. A true credit to their company. Kudos to all!

They were on time both times. They were also very friendly, helpful, and professional. We did 95% of the packing and they helped us when we were not entirely ready on the day of the move. No breakage or damage, and they were very helpful in asking questions and following through. Also helped assemble dining room table and platform beds. Dave was very enthusiastic when he heard where we were moving and provided us with some good advice and pointers to restaurants, attractions, etc. The cost was essentially as quoted, in line with other quotes that we received from other highly-rated Angie's List movers. We went with Roadrunner because we liked how they planned to wrap the furniture and keep it wrapped while in storage, and their description of how they moved the piano (which we observed--they moved it the way piano specialists do, strapped to a special piano dolly).

We had an excellent experience with Roadrunner Moving from the initial visit by Dave for the estimate, to my correspondences with Sabrina at the office, and finally with Bob and his four man crew the day of the move. We sold our condo and were moving to our new house in the suburbs. I called three moving companies all highly rated on Angie's List. Dave came out after work one night to see our condo and talk about what was moving. Dave was very personable and provided great suggestions and advice during his visit. He even made recommendations about how we could save time and money on our move. Dave supplied a fair estimate the next day with more packing and movig advice to help prepare. The day of the move Bob showed up on time with a four man crew. We talked through the insurance options, Bob didn't try to "upsell" me, and we ultimately decided against the additional insurance. The men were polite and worked well together and with us. They moved quickly but carefully to pack up the contents of our condo, porch, and basement. We then drove to and loaded up the contents of our storage locker on the way to our house. Bob and his crew then moved everything to our desired locations within the house while being careful of our freshly painted walls and refinished floors. They finished within the estimated time and estimated amount. We were very pleased with the entire operation and highly recommend Roadrunner Moving to anyone else looking for movers.

They showed up on time, we had not completely finished packing and they helped us with that. They were very nice and took care of everything like it was their own. Very professional and efficient. My only complaint was the next day after moving us in toward the end of the day they just stacked all the boxes in one room instead of bringing them upstairs, etc. I know they were tired, but now we have to "dig out". Other than that I would highly recommend them. They don't make up any "hidden" costs and very affordable.

This crew was like a well oiled ship. They were so efficient and were so fast! Nothing was nicked or damaged at all. They were all pleasant and I would recommend them to anyone. (moved from 1500 sq ft house to 2000 sq ft house.) They also moved a baby grand piano for us.

Roadrunner did a great job all the way around -- packing, providing supplies when needed, estimating move time, thinking of our needs even before we did. They were very professional and accommodating throughout all phases and I recommend them highly. I would definitely use them again.

Roadrunner was fabulous at every point during my relocation from setting up the initial pickup to arranging storage to delivering my things at the other end. Sabrina, who works in the office, was friendly, helpful and always returned my calls promptly. At both ends of my move, I requested a second pickup. Roadrunner provided this service at no additional charge which was amazing. The movers in both NY and MA were courteous and professional. I highly recommend this company.

The crew of 3 showed up early and ready to work. They were courteous, efficient and a didn't waste any time. They had great design ideas on the delivery end, helping me to arrange larger pieces of furniture in the new space, which i'm fairly certain was beyond the call of duty. They worked straight through - nearly 6 hours - no complaints, no breakage, no stopping. They were just a pleasure. From a price perspective, they were the only mover that actually came in and looked at what i had rather than having me describe it. The estimate was very competitive and they were flexible when the load turned out to be a bit smaller based on my getting rid of things prior to the final move date. Highly highly recommend.

This was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Martin came out to provide an estimate, understood everything and promptly provided an estimate for us. Sabrina confirmed the details shortly before the move. The day of the move, the crew (Paul, Mike, and Joe) arrived on time. This was clearly not their first move - they padded everything, wrapped the mattress and box spring in plastic, and moved everything down a somewhat tight staircase with great care and speed (an unusual combination, to be sure!). No walls were bumped, no furniture made contact with anything, and the truck was loaded in under an hour. The drive to Pepperell was quick as well - I took a different route but arrived at the same time they did. The crew came into the house in Pepperell, scoped out where everything was to go, and once again combined speed and care. Nothing made contact with anything, the furniture was reassembled and set up, and the total price turned out to be less than had been estimated. Everyone we dealt with at RoadRunner was a pleasure to deal with - professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would definitely use them again, and would recommend this firm to anyone.

Talk about easy! We had 3 different companies come and give us estimates for our move and storage. Roadrunner was by far the least expensive estimate we got. I was a little leery about how low they were, but with the reviews I read on Angie's List we decided to go with them. The communications we had with Dave, Martin and Sabrina were handled immediately and professionally by all of them. The crew showed up at our house exactly on time. During the move they were careful and considerate of both our belongings and us. We were so impressed with the crew that we requested that they do the move in to our new house. On the move in day they were again professional and courteous. When all was said and done the bill came to under the estimate they had given us. I would strongly recommend Roadrunner to anybody. As a side note, we discovered that they had moved my wife's grandfather a couple of years ago and the report we got was that they did a great job for him as well.
