Excellent moving job! This was a somewhat complicated job since I wanted to pack a part of my belongings myself and wanted to move a car with all the associated paper work (title clearance, customs documents) and loading work (loading of car into container, strapping, bracing). Roadrunner was extremely efficient and flexible giving me exactly the help and service I needed. I just received the shipment in Copenhagen and everything arrived in perfect condition. I've been very impressed by the speed, quality, conscientiousness, and friendliness of the service. Martin Williams and the rest of the Roadrunner team deserve very high praise and I will use this company again in the case of another relocation. Highly recommended to everybody looking for efficient and reliable moving services.

I sent Dave an e-mail describing our move, including an inventory. He was very quick to respond. After a few questions he gave a very reasonable estimate for our move from Cambridge to Newton. We set up a time for packing materials to be dropped off and they showed up right on time. As our packing progressed, we realized we had more boxes than we'd estimated. But Dave put all our fears to rest and sent an extra truck and an extra man on our moving day. The men showed up exactly on time and were extremely professional, friendly, and fast. They finished the job in far less time than we'd expected. And not a thing was damaged. We enthusiastically recommend Roadrunner.

Road Runner Moving and Storage is in fact the best moving company we have ever used. Danny Gomes promptly came to our home at the time of the appointment to give us an estimate of the approximate moving time it would take to move all the contents from our 10 room colonial in Waltham to our new Condo in Watertown. He went room to room and gave us an estimate of 7-9 hours from start to finish. He explained that the workers are paid on an hourly basis and any personal time for lunch would be subtracted from the actual time. We would only be billed for the actual time. The time for the entire move was exactly 7 hours. He offered boxes or supplies in which we might need for the move. The morning of the move the movers called our home when they were about 20 minutes out to let us know when they would be arriving. Once the 24 foot truck pulled up to our house, 3 very friendly men came to our front door. Danny B was in charge of looking our belongings over to get a good idea of the order for packing the truck. We had most of our items packed up but the large items were neatly wrapped with blankets and shrink-wrap. Jason started directing the third mover Nik along in each room as the packing continued. These guys were the most efficient, careful, organized, friendly, concerned individuals that any one would want to move their belonging. They moved everything from the smallest box to the largest as well as the piano without any bumps or scrapes along any walls at both ends of the move. They were so concerned and caring with our items one would think that it was their stuff. Their work was meticulous and I would hire them again in an instant. Not one thing was broken or scratched. We just can?t say enough. The price was extremely low compared to many other movers in the area and the work that was done was far superior to anything I would expect from anyone. They were very reasonably priced and came on time for their appointment. The guys were really nice and tried to be accomodating. However, the service was a bit uneven. They were meticulous in some areas and really careless in other areas. For instance, they packed my China very well. But when it came to my garden tools, they just threw them in a box and some of them were broken. I reported that to them, but since so much time had passed when I realized they were broken, they pretty much said they couldn't do anything for me. Also, I found a painting that was supposed to packed with cardboard as promised. As a result, the painting was ruined. Also, they promised to shrink wrap our rugs in the warehouse, but when I unrolled them, a cloud of dust came out of them, so they broke their promise on that. They also promised to crate an Edwarian era table, which they did not. Thankfully, the table was not damaged. We also have an antique sewing machine that they packed in a strange way. As a result, there were deep gauges in the wood of the machine, however they did pay for that damage in a timely manner. We asked them to ship some stuff that I have, via air freight. They have a contract with the air freight company. Dealing with this company was a terrible experience as well. I'm not sure I would use them again, but I had to select 'yes' or 'no.' The price listed includes the work with the air freight company as well as Road Runner's services.

I had several quotes and talked to many moving companies but Roadrunner had more to offer than the other companies. They had competitive prices and great customer service. I went with them because they were trustworthy and professional people who had a great reputation. Dave, Paolo, Tony and all the guys they sent to do the packing, moving and driving were great! Moving is stressful so it was nice to have this part of the process well taken care of. I would definitely hire Roadrunner Moving again!

From start to finish they were professional, courteous, responsive and helpful. They estimated slightly more hours than needed to be safe, and were clear about that and that they expected it would take less. They took care of the parking permits and showed up exactly on time with a staff of 3. The team was great - friendly, quick, and careful. They were done in 3.5 hours and came in under budget. They were extremely professional and I'd use them again. I recommend them.

It went very smoothly. Over email and phone we negotiated a price and determined the process for delivery of the sofa. They were very professional and delivered it on the date promised. The team of 3 who moved the sofa in had to hoist it over the back deck and bring it into the house on the second level (the stairs were too narrow). Nothing was broken or damaged and the sofa arrived in excellent condition.

They were really good. They were very fast and strong. We were just amazed at some of these guys were able to carry. They did the work really quickly. There wasn't any damage or anything like that. They were efficient.

Very professional company! The movers were on time, respectful, efficient and very careful with everything, at both ends. Customer service, from the initial estimate (which was right on the money) to follow-up after the move, was superb. I would use them again and recommend them highly.

Roadrunner was fantastic. I moved out of a four story home with a full basement in Charlestown that I had lived in for 20+ years, so there were lots and lots of boxes and furniture. Paul, Mike and BJ moved me out and they were awesome. They arrived right on time (8:30), got to work immediately, and worked all day, ending around 4:30. They never took a break, except for a quick bite of lunch (and I mean quick, literally eating on their feet). I had one piece of furniture that had to be taken out a second story window, and they handled that perfectly. They replaced the window when they were done. The Weymouth moving-in was another great day. Again, they arrived right on time. In fact, they beat me to the house! The crew was Mike, BJ and Terrence and again they were awesome. Everything went very smoothly, and they had good suggestions for placement of furniture, etc. One of the beds did not fit up the stairs, so they cut the box spring and made it happen. All of the guys, for both moves, were hard-working, personable, and very considerate. The final bill was a little higher than the estimate, but considering all the work they did, I still think I got more than my money's worth.

They were on time, efficient and even moved through the rain, keeping everything clean. They beat their estimated time by 2 hours, which is always great.

Roadrunner completed an interstate move for me, including my car. They did not charge a fuel surcharge, even though most other moving companies did. They did not use a "shuttle" whereby my things are moved from a smaller vehicle to a larger one and then off again, which normally results in another surcharge. Roadrunner Movers were extremely professional from beginning to end. Dave and all of the guys in charge have a great sense of humor, are intelligent, and you feel that they have your back at all times. Nothing seems to "ruffle" them. One part of moving is the actual move, but part is dealing with the stress, trials and tribulations of moving. They handled all with aplomb, a wonderful sense of humor. They are just great guys. They moved me after a snow storm. They arrived on time. They moved as fast as they could, were polite and courteous, highly professional. At one point, the snow had not been plowed by my storage area. Did they stop and take a break? No, they immediately got out some shovels, made a pathway, and continued with the job. They told me when everything would arrive in Chicago. My belongings and car arrived exactly when they said it would. Nothing was broken, scratched or damaged in any way. As long a RoadRunner exists, I would hire them without reservation.

Roadrunner was very responsive efficient, and pleasant to deal with. They showed up on time to drop off my supplies, and then to move my items. Everything arrived intact and they took great care with all items.

They were very receptive. They worked in a timely manner and were respectful of our belongings. If I had to move again in the future I would use this company.

From my first phone call, David was very pleasant and helpful. Roadrunner advised and helped me get parking permits from the city for the move. On the day itself, Dani's crew (Dani, Homero, Dino, and Izzy) were very careful, patient, and professional. All the furniture and belongings that I had them move arrived safely in my new place. I was especially impressed that Dani maneuvered a large desk and library table through some narrow doorways. The hourly rate was as quoted and there were no hidden extra costs. I am grateful.

They were fantastic from scheduling to the move. They also had to move furniture from a third floor apartment.

They were late getting to the apartment, which would have been fine if they hadn't tried to charge us for the extra hour. Moving the piano went fine (including using a crane, which was very impressive) until they put it back together in the new house, and attached the legs incorrectly. They insisted the piano was tilting because of the floor. We had to pay $175 to hire real piano movers to come out and re-attach the legs. Roadrunner attempted to add on quite a few extras to the bill at the end, which surprised us, because they had been unfailingly nice and seemed genuine.

The estimate process was prompt and excellent. Dave provided helpful suggestions about how to reduce time and cost (e.g. look for boxes on Craig's List and pack the kitchen ourselves). He also identified some areas that could be problematic for the move. The team (led by Paolo) was terrific. I think there were 3 to pack and 4-5 to unpack; the 2 extra guys were not charged to us at an hourly rate. Rather, they were only $20 each for most of a day's work. The team was on time, or called if there was going to be a delay. They were quick, courteous, and good natured. Nothing was damaged or broken in the process and they came in under budget. (I can't remember either the quoted or actual price, sorry). We had 2 problems, which were handled professionally and generously by Dave. 1) Some portion of stuff ended up in the wrong place and required us to do a lot of re-moving. The problem boxes had come from rooms with mixed use (bedroom/office and family room/office) and were designated by the movers with the same ambiguous name. Dave indicated that these mixed-use rooms could be problematic when he provided the estimate, but we didn't have an adequate solution at the move time. When we spoke after the move, he offered repeatedly and genuinely to come himself or send someone out to help re-move boxes. 2) The move included a basement fridge. The guys emptied it at the old house and put the food in cooler bags. They did not, however, plug the fridge in at the new house, nor did they tell us that they hadn't/couldn't (no 3-pronged socket) and that they had left the food sitting out. We had a significant amount of spoiled, leaking food when we discovered it a few days later. Dave provided a gift certificate to a grocery store (our choice) to compensate for a significant portion of the loss. He also indicated that they were implementing new procedures to avoid the kinds of problems we experienced. In spite of these drawbacks, we were very happy with the experience and the service provided. We would definitely recommend Roadrunner and use them again ourselves.

Everything went very well. The workers were courteous, careful, friendly, and good listeners. The move was done quickly and there was no damage to freshly painted walls and new hardwood floor. Also the office staff was friendly, informative, and very clear on price and process. Finally the office staff was able to fit me in on a week-end with fairly short notice. Just excellent overall.

I used Roadrunner on a recommendation from a friend, and I am very happy with how smoothly my move went. Roadrunner knows how to make a move stress-free. I had some questions about the process (including permitting in Boston), and Dave at Roadrunner always responded promptly. He even came by to double check that the signs were posted at my move-out location. Matt, Elicio, and Terry -- my crew -- were efficient, courteous, and very careful with all my belongings. They even came by to pick up the wardrobe boxes I rented from them when I was all unpacked (weeks after move day). I would highly recommend them and would definitely use Roadrunner again the next time I move.

This was rather a complicated move, involving two locations in Boston and in Chicago. They did an outstanding job at a fair price. They take a good care of your furniture and if they make a mistake, they own up to it and take care of it. They are honest, hard working and professional. I'd hire them again without hesitation.

We were so happy with our first experience with Roadrunner, moving from Boston to Chicago, that we made an effort to work around their travel schedule so that we could use them for our two Chicago moves. I can't recommend them highly enough. They're professional, courteous, on-time, and efficient. In three moves, not a single item was broken and not a single wall was scratched. We've had three different crews, and all of the guys are top notch and really nice. They are always well prepared with extra packing supplies if you need them. They take care to wrap big pieces like tables in padded blankets, and shrink wrap mattresses. Dave and Denis are very responsive to any questions, and the guys are really good about checking in with estimated arrival time, etc. As stress-free and pleasant a moving experience as you're likely to find. Hire them!

Roadrunner was very professional. Since our move is local (within one town) and fairly straightforward (2/3rds of our stuff is in a garage still packed from a previous move), price became the bottom line. Roadrunner was the most expensive of the 3 companies we called ($165/hr for 3 movers, 1 truck). Again, since our move is simple, we didn't think it was worth the extra $50/hr. Their travel charge was a pre-calculated rate from their location to mine, i.e., I didn't have to worry about them getting caught in traffic and me paying for it. That's a big plus. But we happen to live 40 min. away so even a preset travel time was getting a little pricey. One price extra that I didn't like was a $50 charge for moving our digital piano. They understood that what we had was a Clavinova, not a "real" piano. I personally don't think our Clavinova requires any special moving besides getting wrapped up in blankets like any other piece of furniture. But they said that sometimes digital pianos might not be constructed well and require extra handling. Some people might appreciate the extra care. I just happen to not think in this case that it was needed. In the end, we chose a closer mover (also with preset travel time) who was cheaper and had a decent rating on AL.
