Service was very good, they were prompt and very friendly. Packed everything well. One thing I would have appreciated would have been if they had worn shoe covers as the rug got a bit dirty. Would use again.

So you're moving? You're already ahead of the game by checking on Angie's List. Do yourself another couple of favors: start packing RIGHT NOW, label every box, and hire Roadrunner! Dave and his crew are amazing. I've moved about 6 times all over the country and by far and away this was the best experience. I interviewed 5 companies from around the Boston area for my move down to southern CT. The estimates varied from just $3800 (turns out it didn't comply with DOT interstate regulations....oops) to $6300. Roadrunner was at the high end - but without the $800+ fuel surcharge from 3 of the companies, I was able to buy services like help with packing fragiles, artwork, the kitchen, and other odds and ends. In the end, I sold some heavy furniture, moved a few car loads myself, and packed and packed and packed so my actual cost came in significantly lower than the quote. My initial move date changed, but then that rental fell through, and I had to go back to Roadrunner and ask for my original move-date, and through all the angst Sabrina and Dave were calm, cool and collected. I was slightly hysterical but they made everything better! Of the five interviewed, Dave was the ONLY ONE to ask what my plans were for my 2 cats on moving day! (See my review for Toureen Spa in Watertown, where I put Linus and Lucy for the day). If you have pets of any kind, please plan on putting them in a safe place on moving day - it will help you and the pets. The guys from Roadrunner were really great, concerned about my stuff, about my pets, and about me. Nothing they packed broke (I was slightly less successful) and the one lampshade that was damaged is being replaced. They even took a few items to another location close by when we realized they were just not going to fit into my smaller space. All in all, it was a really terrific experience. There are cheaper moving companies, but you definitely will get what you pay for! Good luck with your move - Roadrunner made mine that much better!

From the initial estimate visit (showed up when he said he would) to the final move-in, the service Roadrunner provided has been excellent. We moved from the Boston area to Washington DC and had them pack breakables and those possessions I just got too tired to pack myself. As others have mentioned, Dave is a great representative of this company and, besides checking in with me several times during (and even after) this ordeal, provided reassurance for me when the stress of packing 25 years worth of accumulated possessions made me doubt it could ever get done. The team was extremely competent, packing, loading, and unloading quickly and carefully. As a bonus, the two guys who stayed with the team for the 3 days this move took were great to work with and very pleasant to have around. I would recommend Roadrunner without hesitation. This is a professional company whose experience and care was obvious in all they did.

The Roadrunner team were great from beginning to end, throughout everyone I worked with was professional and friendly. When planning the move they were well informed about the process for moving over the border and provided me with clear guidance on what to expect and what we needed to do to make customs go smoothly. On moving day a full team showed up to ensure quick and efficient loading of my furniture and on day two the team worked hard to get my belongings unloaded and place to my liking. Two members of the team actually worked the move from beginning to end which was very reassuring and ensured continuity of ownership and care. I had estimates from other movers who worked with subcontractors, the loading team would not stay with the truck through delivery. this lack of continuity of ownership did not result in savings. I can only recommend Road Runner.

Using Roadrunner was a great experience, nothing hidden the quote on time and price I received was right in line with our experience. The move started at 9, ended about 6, but that was with a Kenny Chesny concert traffic at Gillette in between. The crew was great, very very professional, nice guys and made for a great experience. I call Roadrunner after talking with several companies and getting really high quotes. Dave came over to see the house and estimate the cost, he was punctual, informative and friendly. The quote was reasonable so we scheduled the move for a few weeks later. At the day of the move the team arrived on time. Although they are paid by the hour, they worked amazingly fast. at lunch time, I offered them to take a lunch break and was happy to pay for that time, but they said they preferred to finish early. Overall they finish the entire work (loading, driving to new house and unloading) in about 6 hours and the total cost was significantly lower then the original estimate. After the team was done, Dave came by to follow up and make sure that everything was fine. Overall, very happy with great service, timeliness, good work ethics and friendly team!

I had a great experience with this moving company. From all the people answering the phones, to Martin coming out and doing the estimate, and to Paul and the whole team who handled our packing and moving, everyone was extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous and flexible. The guys that came out to pack and move us did a wonderful job and were a pleasure to work with.

My initial contact with the office was by email and later by phone. All contact was professional, courteous and timely. The folks at Roadrunner do seem to recognize how stressful it is to move and do whatever they can to make the move run smoothly and reduce your stress level. The move went generally without a hitch, and the crew appropriately dealt with small issues that arose during the course of the move. One of the most impressive things about my dealings with the company was how much everyone genuinely cared about ensuring a smooth move and good experience.

I was choosing between two companies, both local to the Boston area. I favored the one I had used previously, but thought their estimate was high. They did the estimate by means of an online form (no one came to my place). They were unwilling to commit to an exact date until quite close to the date I needed. After reading Roadrunner's reviews on Angie's List, I thought I would give them a try. Someone came to my apartment and looked over my stuff and then gave an estimate more than $5,000 below the other company. On top of that, it was a binding estimate--that is, the cost would not go over the amount stated (except for obvious items, such as packing materials). So I selected Roadrunner. Occasionally I had a little difficulty getting answers to my specific questions, but they did commit to an actual date, which made my life much easier. They delivered boxes and packing materials in plenty of time and managed to estimate the amount I would need quite closely. On moving day--always a stressful time--the four workers did a very professional job. I had paid for a parking permit, but, Boston drivers being what they are, someone parked in the space anyway. The movers were able to find a nearby space and made no complaints (even though I wanted to call the Boston police to tow the car). They did part of my packing and then carried boxes and furniture down three flights of stairs, again without complaint. They completed the job in five hours; I consider this an amazingly short time. Once they left, I discovered a few pictures that had gotten placed behind boxes. Roadrunner came back a few hours later and added those items to the truck. The comforting thing about the move was that the same truck was used throughout (no transfer of my stuff), and two of the movers went on the truck to the destination. My sister met them and they unloaded the truck in short time. The best news of all: All the boxes are now unpacked and everything has been put away, and absolutely nothing got broken or damaged. What more can one want from movers? With Roadrunner's amazing price and careful work, I recommend them highly.

Very pleased. All went very smoothly. The three movers were very professional and cared for all our property as if it were their own . The entire move took only six hours and that included a stop at my daughter's house to deliver a large 42" TV and a extra large triple dresser. The sales department was also very professional and personable. The price was the clincher though. Roadrunner is half price compared to similar moving companies we contacted. As I said things could not have smoother with Roadrunner. We were so pleased, we tipped the delivery men $20. each. They definitely earned it.

They were hard working, efficient, incredibly helpful and overall did a great job. They in fact sent 3 guys to do the work even though I only paid for two, which was terrific because the job went very quick.

It went perfectly. We got a extremely fair estimate when Dave came to the house to assess our move, and the team of 4 men who came to move us were quick and professional. They packed everything for us, including many delicate items, and nothing was damaged in the move. They were punctual, careful, and accomplished everthing so quickly that our total price came in under the estimate. Our move was to the third floor of a triple decker and had very narrow stairs. How they got everything up there (big queen bed, sofa, large pieces of furniture) was amazing to watch. I would highly recommend Road Runner; they are the best.

Overall, their service was excellent. I had a wonderful experience with Roadrunner, and I would recommend them to anybody. They are very professional and efficient.

Before the move, a representative came out to give us a quote. The charges and services were explained clearly and fully. We originally planned to have them move us into storage and then out of storage into our new place later. However, because our plans changed, we were able to do the whole move in one day, without any intervening storage. Roadrunner was responsive and flexible with respect to this change. They quickly dropped off moving supplies before the move date, after we called them to ask. The moving day itself went very well, starting punctually with four movers, and completed with three additional movers later in the afternoon. Everything was done just right: no damage, cleanup at both job sites, quick and professional work. The topper was that the whole job was done so efficiently that it came in under the quoted price. We recommend Roadrunner unreservedly.

It went very well right from the beginning in MA and continued on to the unloading of the truck in NC. Dave and Sabrina were our initial contacts and made a great impression right from the start- a wonderful introduction to Roadrunner. They either contacted me by phone or email with information that I needed. They were right on top of things all the way. If I had questions they were addressed or answered promptly and no question was too small or worrisome. Besides dealing with packing, planning and all the long distance arrangements, we were also dealing with illness and injury; my son is chronically ill and my husband hurt his back the week before the move date- so with all that was going on it could have been a very stressful time to say the least. But it wasn't. We had a wonderful crew in and out of the house- a great bunch of guys; Joe, Martin, Ilya, Osvedo and Marcel. They carefully packed items that I needed help with; they very conscientiously kept track of what went on the truck; they were in and out wrapping, lugging, carrying and back again for more and more... Watching them all was amazing- these guys hustle! At the other end of the trip in NC, Joe and Dani handled the unloading of our household- up two flights of stairs to the third floor. Once again, the professionalism and good natured manner of the guys came through and continued until the unloading and checking was finished completely. I cannot say enough good things about our experience... and again, to say that we were "impressed" is really an understatement. The Roadrunner crew is a very professional, good natured and extremely hard working group. We highly recommend them. Thanks again guys!!

It was a wonderful experience- Dave came over to see me to plan the job, and we had a great conversation. He spends time getting to know his clients and their needs, which helps everyhting go smoothly. After our initial meeting I kept adding boxes to my initial estimate- that was never a problem. Moving day was a dream- the very pleasant crew showed up on time, packed the truck quickly and efficiently, met me at my house and carefully unloaded. They even helped me move additional items in the house. The price was reasonable, the professionalism and service were great. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat- and recommend them 100%

The crew arrived on time and immediately the crew leader showed me the scope of work. Somehow, the dispatcher had not accurately described the scope of the job, which was much more extensive than they thought it would be. They had scheduled two other jobs later in the day! Despite that, they did their work thoroughly and carefully, with good humor and skill. Afterward, my husband was so impressed that he bought them lunch. We don't want to move again anytime soon ( !), but we will definitely recommend them to others.

I used Roadrunner about 10 years ago to move across town (at the recommendation of a friend who had worked in the moving business), and they were fantastic. They were my first choice for this job, as I knew they were completely reliable and professional. However, this was a complicated and potentially expensive job - small load, interstate move, numerous scheduling constraints. Dave kept his eye out for ways to make this as economical as possible, and was good-humored and patient while I worked out scheduling issues on my end. My pickup time in Maine was delayed due to the other customer's issues, but the movers kept me apprised and worked around my scheduling constraints. Once they arrived, they were very fast, but took excellent care of every item, carefully wrapping and loading them. Delivery in Boston 2 days later was right on schedule: fast, efficient, yet with kid-glove treatment. Not only are the people in the office extremely pleasant to deal with, every person on the crew is equally pleasant and professional. Simply put - Road Runner is the BEST moving company out there. I can't recommend them more highly.

The move was seamless! Roadrunner honored all promises. The team arrived promptly on my move out date, loading the truck within 2 hours. 3 days later, they delivered my belongings to SC, completing the move in in under 2 hours in tortuous 100-degree heat! Dave, Brian, and team worked efficiently, fast, and carefully (as I had a number of antiques). I'd use Roadrunner again in a heartbeat.

The move went very well. The packers/movers were polite, efficient, careful, and professional. They worked quietly and steadily on a very hot and humid day, and completed our move in 8 hours. They were cheerful throughout. At the end one man carefully walked through the billing and charges so we understood it before paying.

The crew was outstanding. They worked in oppressive heat and moved everything up to a three story walk-up office. They were efficient, polite and professional. They finished the job in less time than expected and charged well under the original estimate which was already reasonable. Great experience and great value.
