Roadrunner Moving & Storage Inc

We marked some things to go near the front of the unit, in case we need to get with them and they handled that perfectly. The estimate we were given for the amount of person-hours necessary to move us was off by a good amount - so the initial bill was well over our estimate. As soon as I pointed this out, however, the foreman made a call to the estimator and they adjusted our bill, to the lower end of our estimate! This was done with remarkable professionalism and was very impressive to me. My only complaint would be that they unwrapped some of our belongings once they were put into storage (to get their pads back), which took longer and will mean that our move will take longer when we move out of storage - as these things will need to be re-wrapped. But I understand that, even though I paid the deposit on the moving pads, they will not have access to any they leave with us for an unknown period of time. All of our stuff is in storage, so I can't obviously speak to damage or any missing items, but in terms of responsiveness, being easy to work with, professionalism, and for honoring their original estimate, Road Runner gets top marks and we will be calling them again when we find a new place to call home.

They sent six people to pack us the day before the move and they were incredible. They were efficient, on time and very professional. All of the packing went very smoothly. They had a crew of 4 on the day of the move and were right on time. As with the packing the loading of the truck, the handling of our items and the attitude of the movers was first rate. They were right on time on the day we moved into our new home. One of the people we dealt with in Brookline was on the truck that delivered our stuff. Once again they took the stress out of the move and my wife, who can be very particular, was pleased. They set up our furniture and made sure it was in good order. We could have not been more pleased with this company and would recommend it to anyone moving from Boston to any other city. The process from quote to unpacking was great and helped lessen the stress of our first move in 18 years.

From start to finish a fine job done by Roadrunner. Dave M. came out for the estimate and was as easy to work with as you can get. He answered questions we hadn't even asked. The estimate was in line with the final cost. Robert and his crew came out the day before the move to do the final packing. Robert was the crew chief and was here for the packing and loading and would be the one driving out to AZ. They worked fast and hard. Yes, they will pack anything that is not nailed down so pack your pry bars before they get there or they will use them to un-nail those things that are nailed down. Robert's radar quickly caught on to a "That's going with us", "No it's not." "Yes it is." "No it's not." "Yes it is." situation and wisely split up the packing crew into him and her groups on different floors. Smooth move Robert! Robert arrived the next day for the loading which took way less time than we expected. We were renting a furnished place in AZ so we were in no rush for our stuff to arrive. The stuff did arrive on schedule. Robert and his gang quickly unloaded everything for storage in the garage with some items moved inside. It had been more than 30 years since our last move and this was our first experience with professional movers. Our last move, from AZ to MA, was accomplished using our 1976 Subaru sedan. We had a lot of worries and concerns about this move but after watching Robert and the crew pack and load things we never gave it another thought. Everything arrived on time and undamaged. A totally positive experience.

From the beginning whenIi contacted Roadrunner, everyone has acted in a professional courteous manner.. Dave came to the house to give us an estimate. He was knowledgeable and very friendly. He looked things over and said that he would have an estimate to us the next day. He actually had an estimate for us that night. The estimate was by far the best of the three companies that came to the house. The 4 movers showed up at the time they said they would and even with some changes to what they were taking, they were very accommodating. We had also added another stop that was near our house to deliver our washer and dryer to our temporary housing. Everyone that we worked with that day, and everyone we talked with over the phone, has been wonderful. We were so impressed that we asked if the same gentlemen could move our belongings from storage to our new house when we are ready.

We postponed the moving couple times and Dave was very accommodative. When we finally moved in May, it was more than 5 months after we first contacted him. We really appreciate his patience and a good sense of humor, which helped to alleviate the stress inherent in moving On the day of moving, the crew arrived on time. They worked non-stop for 9 hours and did an excellent job. The crew leader was very effective and the whole moving went smoothly.

Their estimate on the weight of my household goods was about the same as the other estimates. However, their cost to move the goods was extremely high and nearly twice as expensive as a couple of others! I did not select them to do my move, but used a national van line instead.

Dave was on time , professional, and eager to help make this stressful process easier. He was thorough in his assessment. Before the end of the day, Dave emailed us the estimate. The final price the this job was similar to the company we ended up hiring. The only reason we did not hire Roadrunner is because we wanted to support the business located in the community we are moving to.

There was a lot of them when I moved from Watertown that day so it was sort of hard to manage what was going on but they seemed to get everything and not damage furniture. The next day on delivery, there was only two of them but they worked efficiently to unload and I thought overall they did a good job. The issue that day of delivery was that the two of them were not quite aware of where the others had packed some of the items that they packed. They could not find them or rather had trouble finding them. Also, I still have an outstanding issue with them that my silverware went completely missing and they still deny any responsibility as they try to claim they didn't pack the kitchen, though they were asked to pack some items. I don't know what to do...

We hired roadrunner for our move into our first home with a baby on the way. We were pretty overwhelmed with the process, and Roadrunner came in and made the whole thing so much less stressful and less overwhelming! We had Dave come over to give us an estimate prior to moving day. He was super nice and gave us plenty of packing/moving pointers which were useful in the days leading up to the move. On moving day 4 guys and a 24? truck showed up and ran the show like true professionals! they were all very personable, efficient and professional. They provided a sense of calm in an otherwise chaotic environment. By 2pm the move was complete- and we finished up within the estimated time frame provided by Dave. No hidden costs, no added costs, no surprises. If you are moving in the Boston area, I would highly recommend Roadrunner- the next time we move we will certainly be calling them again!

I knew Roadrunner would be a good fit for me when I first called to learn more about their services. Dave provided all the information I needed and offered a lot of great advice about packing and prepping my family for the move. We had to reschedule our move as the date neared, and they were very accommodating. I was running behind on packing, so I enlisted Roadrunner's help the day before the move. Dave sent over a team of three, and they did an excellent job packing up my kitchen, dining room and artwork. They worked efficiently and with good humor. On move day, they showed up on time and dug in, working hard the entire day. I was especially thankful that they were very patient and good-natured about that fact that I wasn't 100% ready and was still packing the final boxes--and that my kinds were running around underfoot for a little while. Dave sent over an extra guy to help speed up the unpacking, which made a huge difference in shortening a long and tiring day. In fact, Dave himself showed up to make sure everything was going OK, which was a great gesture. They were careful with all of the furniture -- nothing was damaged. One of the things that made an impression on me was that the entire crew knew my name and used it whenever they had a question -- it gave the experience a very collaborative, friendly feel. I have used two other Boston-area movers in the past. Not only was Roadrunner a much better value, but the service was exceptional. I recommend them without hesitation.

I reviewed a number of movers and got an education. Those with the lowest prices are typically brokers and not companies with their own equipment. Pricing ranged from $1200 to $6000. I finally decided to use Angie's List and Better Business Bureau reviews as a more reliable starting point and soon came up with 3 movers that I began to explore thoroughly, or as thoroughly as one can for this industry. Roadrunner in the persons of Dave and Sabrina soon demonstrated to me that the characteristics of professionalism and due diligence were as important to them as they are to me. From generating an inventory list to wading through insurance options, to their timely pick up of the furniture at my house and delivery to my daughter's home they provided constant support and communication. The furniture was blanket wrapped individually and handled with care, my son in law received the delivery and was impressed with their handling and professionalism. All items arrived in excellent shape. The 5% discount on the delivered price

Everything about them from the time I talked to the sales rep to the end of the moving was terrific. The 2 fellows who moved us were great, helpful, and professional. They did the move quickly, carefully, and I will definitely use the service again. And their price was terrific.

The team was fantastic. From the first call to the last piece of furniture moved, we could not have asked for a better experience. I have had some very bad moving experiences in the past and was gunshy, but the estimate was spot on, the team was prompt, careful, and highly trustworthy. They even helped move a piece or two that were left in the new house for us by the previous owners. I would highly recommend Roadrunner!

On our moving day, 3 guys showed up right on time. They did an excellent job wrapping furniture, and moving them down a narrow staircase. They moved everything carefully, but fast, often moving 2 heavy boxes at a time. They also did a great job unloading once we got to our new place. They paid careful attention to the labels on the boxes. Not one box ended up in a room it was not supposed to be. They are also very pleasant to work with. We will not hesitate to use them again.

The move was very smooth, thanks to the great staff at Roadrunner. They were prompt to provide a reasonable quote, which they came in under based on my husband moving much of our attic storage to the first floor to save time. They moved on two very hot 90 degree weather days without any complaint. Their work was fast & flawless - helping us to organize our boxes in the new basement and setting up our furniture in all rooms without any issues. We were very happy overall and would definitely recommend them to all.

Roadrunner exceeded my expectations in all aspects. I received three estimates, two from companies a fair distance away and one from my local movers in Gloucester thinking I might save on travel hours. All came in within a few hundred of each other, with Roadrunner being in the middle. I had really felt at ease after speaking with Dave at Roadrunner so I wanted to see if I could get the pricing to work with them. He was actually the ONLY one willing to negotiate on pricing a bit to make me happy. AND in addition, they came in UNDER their cap! They sent out Dani Gomez to do an estimate. He was thorough, asked all the right questions and was incredibly friendly and easy to work with. He was right on with his estimate as well. He knows his job well! The crew of four arrived earlier than expected which was great for us as we need to be out of our house earlier than expected (and we requested an early arrival but wasn't sure they could do it). They came in, took a look around, asked us a few questions and got to work. They were HARD workers and I was in awe to see how quickly my house was emptying! They took proper care of fragile items, asked questions when needed and told us about any "repacking" of items they wanted to ensure made it to our house safely. They had a method to their madness and somehow it all worked. 4.5 hours later and the house was securely packed into 2 trucks and on the way to overnight storage. The next day, they showed up on time, with a friendly pre phone call from Dave to see if all went well with the closing that morning. Once again, they looked around the new house, asked the right questions again and got to work. They were a repeat of the day before: efficient, respectful, easy going, etc. NO laziness here, NO complaining, just hard work and smiles. I have to say we had FUN with our crew. They were super easy going and made what should have been TWO super stressful days, a really great experience. It was like working with Superheros :) Everyone at Roadrunner was amazing, from Dave and Dani, to our crew. I would only use them in the future.

We had boxed almost everything prior to the move. We had also previously stored a large number of boxes in a storage facility that the company stopped by to pick up. Loading etc took perhaps 5 - 6 hours and unloading at the other end took about the same time. About 5 workers participated at each end. They packed on day 1 drove to the new house on day 2 and unloaded the contents on day 3. there were two trucks involved in the move. One item, a chair, was damaged during the move, they took it back to Boston to be repaired and returned it to us a couple of weeks later. The repair job was perfect, in fact the chair looked better after the repair than it did before. Everyone involved worked at full capacity and was extremely helpful The company loaded and unloaded all the contents of wardrobes (special offer) Full marks - would recommend highly.

Dave worked with me throughout the scheduling process even though we didn't know the exact date until less than a week prior. Gave good advice on boxes and packing materials. They were on time. Professional and attentive. Boxes to move hanging closets without taking clothes off hangers were a life saver. Finished $300 below estimate. Highly recommend

Absolutely the best moving company that we have used over the years. We recently moved from Boston to Tucson, AZ. We had a lot of personal things in our condo in Boston as well as in another location an hour south of Boston. We needed a crane to move some furniture out of our Boston condo and they arranged for that and the police dispatch also. They also worked with my husband move his home improvement business from South Boston. All was done with great communication from day one, fantastic movers who packed up all our belongings (and there was lots) from all locations. The moving team was incredibly efficient, courteous and clean. The cross country team arrived on time and they unloaded with fantastic speed, efficiency and neatness. This moving company really knows what they are doing. I would highy recommend them for local or long distance moving. ***** 5star.

They were extremely nice, thorough and their customer service was excellent. We have moved frequently and they were the best moving company we have worked with. Even our lightbulbs made it undamaged, which is not that common when moving. There were a few things that got damaged, they paid us immediately for the value of the items. They were very apologetic and couldn't have been nicer. They waited at the end while we were unpacking to take away a lot of the paper and boxes. I would highly recommend them to other members!

I had estimates from a number of movers and chose Roadrunner, because they offered the fairest price. They arrived when scheduled, did the job very well and I will be hiring them again when I move my things out of storage.

These guys are awesome..... Not only did they efficiently move us; they actually took it upon themselves to throw into our dumpster furniture that we did not want. They were promt, courteous and while this turned into almost a 9 hour job they never charged me extra. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a positive experience in moving.
