I made arrangements for Wednesday 9/16 to have Dalfior meet at my place at 2pm to inspect the job and provide a quote thereafter. I purposely took time off from work that afternoon to meet him at 2pm. He didn't show up at 2pm and sent his assistant an hour later only after I left a couple messages with him and the office reminding him of the appointment time. The assistant took pictures of the job and said he would get back to me beginning of next week with a quote. Its been over 3 weeks and I have not received a quote nor have they returned any of my voicemails or text messages.

This is a great company. The roofers were AWESOME; did a great job and cleaned up work every day. The carpenters were ALSO AWESOME, smart, capable, even brilliant. The painters were also TERRIFIC, and did a great job. The only hassle I came upon was getting the last little bits done.

AMAZINGLY WELL DONE!!! Fernando and his team are brilliant in every respect. Not only are they friendly, cordial, fairly priced and professional but these guys are MASTERS at their craft. We re-habbed the entire interior of a 6000 sq ft home in Brookline and had new walls abutting old walls, new crown mouldings with some existing older mouldings, new built ins, intricate woodwork around mantles and columns and Dalfior's guys made every surface look beautiful. The attention to detail was beyond expected. Every little nail hole or defect in the new or existing plaster was addressed prior to priming and painting. We had over 20 wall colors and 3 or 4 trim colors and all the lines were clean and sharp despite imperfections in a 100 year old house. The exterior work consisted of power washing and prepping all the window trims, soffits, fascia boards, wood gutters and shutters. Again, despite the weathered nature of 100 year old exterior wood, the guys made it all look very nice. I cannot say enough good things about Dalfior. We have EXTREMELY high standards for our home and on every level, Fernando met or exceeded our expectations. Every phone call was promptly answered and the conversation always ended with "no problem". His crew showed up on time, worked tirelessly and at times would work well beyond "quitting time" to get the job done. The work place was always kept clean (I mean really clean!) with cans stacked and labeled, supplies neatly organized on a drop cloth in the center of the room, etc. If you need a painting contractor, you will get over and above what you expect from Fernando and his company. We had gotten several other quotes and everyone came in with stories about how difficult a job this was, the imperfections on the walls, how we shouldn't expect it to look very good, "it is an old house", blah blah blah. Fernando came in, walked off the project, ran his hand along some walls and old mouldings and began explaining how he would approach the challenge. His bid was in fact less than some of the others who began the conversation with "tough job". We have had about a dozen contractors from several trades working with us during our 18 month "down to the studs" rehab of our house. There have been 2 or 3 of these who have been EXCEPTIONAL and Dalfior is in this elite group. Do not think twice about hiring Fernando. He will impress you at every level. I would also add that if his painting work is as exceptional as described, I can only imagine all of his renovation work is done with a similarly high standard. My only regret is that by posting this review, Fernando may get so busy that it will be difficult to sign him up for future projects!!

The job went well. The crew took the time to meet quailty preparation standards and were very responsive to the owner's requests.

The deck turned out great and better than expected and the cost to replace was very fair.

Fernando Dalfior, the owner/manager, walked around the house with me and discussed the work in detail. He made helpful suggestions, such as using semigloss on the shutters, which had been painted with a matte finish. They look better now than they ever have before. He pointed out areas of concern, including some wood rot at the base of the column trim on the front of the house and suggested ways of solving the problem. His estimate of when he could get to the job, how much it would cost, and how long it would take were precise and accurate. The painters arrived punctually and worked efficiently. They covered the area with plastic sheeting to protect the landscape and surroundings and were careful to avoid damaging the flower beds. Without exception, they were friendly and responsive and remarkably diligent. After making the necessary small repairs, they scraped all the loose and peeling paint, applied primer, and then two coats of paint to all the trims and doors. The house looks terrific now. I would add some little criticism if I could, just to make this review more credible. But I have no complaints. Dalfior is, without doubt, the finest painter I've hired in forty-five years as a home-owner.

This was a major remodel. Any such project has its frustrations, but Fernando Dalfior is committed to furnishing a quality product. Have previously reviewed this project. Should be noted that the Dalfior crew had to deal with tricky installation of IKEA cabinetry in kitchen--wall and base cabinets throughout--and they nailed it. THIS IS AN UPDATE:--Had an energy audit today by a statewide agency to assess energy conservation needs. The technician went out of his way to comment on "excellent" insulation installed in the kitchen remodeled in Spring/Summer 2010 by Dalfior. It was the only area in the house that didn't need attention. Hats off to Dalfior!

Excellent job. couldnt have asked for more.

We have been using Dalfior for snow removal for the past two years however each year there is damage done as a result of the snow plows they use. They come very late and quickly plow through the driveways and leave. We are not using them this year because we have asked them to pay for damages they caused last year, e.g. torn out out landscaping and mangled a fence, which they have not done. They charge a fair price but it will cost you more in the long rung because of the damages to your property.

There were no surprise add-on costs.They did a great job, the house looks great and were very neat with the daily clean-up. Project took a while to get started due to weather conditions but that was not a factor.

He was very prompt to give a quote and seemed tentative.

I am very pleased and their work was great. The work involved a lot of permits and they took care of that for me and they did the best they could to work around inspectors schedules. The work was excellent and they were very pleasant and cooperative to work with.

Went very smoothly. Excellent work.

Again, this company IS THE BEST. The management is superior and responsible. The workers were committed and personable. The work site was completely cleaned up every day. AWESOME. I recommend them without hesitation
