+ 2 moreWe had a very good experience. All of the design and work was done at a very high level of quality, with fine craftsmanship, on-time, and on budget. This is not the first time we used 2Hat Design Build. We had them construct and install several sets of built-in bookcases, build an outside fence, gate, and shed (out of mahogany and cedar). We will certainly use 2Hat Design Build in the future for our remodeling projects. Highly recommended!
Description of Work: 2Hat Design Build transformed an old 2nd floor kitchen into a lovely playroom/office. The original room was a kitchen with the appliances gone, but the sink and plumbing was still there. 2Hat Design Build helped us redesign the room and then implemented the redesign. They put in recessed ceiling lighting, expanded a small window into a large one, build a wall of shelves and cabinets on one side, put in a built-in window seat, updated the electrical with new outlets throughout, and re-did the walls with wainscotting that matches the rest of the house. The room is now the nicest room in the house. The remodeled room is beautiful, highly functional, and matches the details of the rest of our house. The price was extremely reasonable. We are extremely happy with the process and the result!

+ 0 moreDemolition work creates a mess, but this was kept to a minimum with daily tidying up and clean up at the end. They were able to keep the bathroom in service the full time except for a day while the tile set. We have a small house and it was difficult for us not getting in the way of the workers at times but we managed very well I think.
Description of Work: Our bathroom was in desperate need of updating. We still have the 1920's claw foot tub but needed a more contemporary design. 2 Hat proposed new tile for floor and walls and incorporated a dramitic new sink and vanity arrangement that echoed the claw foot era. Floor warming was added along with new sheetrock, plumbing and finish. We are very happy with the results.

+ 0 moreOnce we received a detailed estimate in writing, Two Hat pulled each of the required permits, had a dumpster delivered, and the demolition work began. They made sure that all the debris was in the dumpster and cleaned up after themselves in and around our driveway. They worked well with both our architect and our mason, provided their own licensed electrician, and had no trouble securing the necessary permits for each aspect of the job. The job was completed on time, and at the cost that was quoted to us. When all was said and done, the new vestibule fit right in with the existing style of the house.
Description of Work: We used 2 Hat Design Build this past year in order to rebuild our side entry vestibule from the ground up. They were great to work with and walked us through each of the different options relating to the design, demolition, masonry, architecture, electrical, and most importantly cost. 2 Hat has done several projects for us over the years and we would recommend their work without hesitation.
