While we are grateful for Paul organizing our visit to our eventual home, and for his ability to arrange the other visits all within a one-day period, he never gained our confidence, and eventually lost our confidence in his ability to represent us or complete the transaction. Paul was selected out of loyalty to a different Keller Williams agency's effort to assist us in buying on the North Shore and coastal New Hampshire and Maine. We are very mixed about having selected Paul. Paul effectively organized a tour of about a dozen homes we selected online. He provided good input about particular areas of towns to focus on that met our needs for year-round living. I met him at his office and he was fully prepared for the tour. At the end of the tour he had appended a home that would be open for review the following weekend. The owners had agreed to open the house just for us because of my limited time on the Cape for the home search. Throughout the tour Paul offered minimal comments regarding the any homes and raised no red flags or concerns about any home. This reticence became a trademark characteristic throughout the purchase period. We made the offer the following day and it was accepted by the seller. This was the last time Paul demonstrated such efficiency. It took him over ten days to secure a purchase and sales agreement. He avoided working with us and on more than one occasion inexplicably bypassed us and went directly to our attorney, despite our protests. Each document produced contained errors in buyers names. Other inspections were arranged by Paul, but they lacked our confidence, and we had the uncomfortable feeling they were selected to complete the sale, not to protect or inform us. The required septic installation was poorly organized with the installer working off of the wrong dates - further delaying our purchase. Movement toward the closing only happened after we informed Paul we were prepared to walk from the offer. The agents were not even able to direct the seller to the proper location to complete the closing. I cannot recommend Paul or his firm.

Response from Paul Beatty - Keller Williams Realty Inc
It is sad to hear (removed member name) was disappointed with my services. As a seasoned agent, I've learned not to offer personal opinions of properties, but to point out features and benefits. After spending a day with (removed member name) we were able to identify two homes that met his family's needs. At that point we reviewed comparable properties and he selected Arthur Lane. If I were such a poor Buyer's Agent how did (removed member name) learn about the property he ended up purchasing?. This property came on the market the day of our tour and I instinctively knew to include it. Knowing the area well and (removed member name) urgency to secure a home I pushed to get him access to the home. Inefficiency? After an accepted offer I did my due diligence by getting him copies of all building permits, met with his inspector and met with 4 contractors to assess his concerns. The closing was disrupted by a failed septic system, which was the Seller's issue and took time and permitting to fix. It was through my efforts and contacts that the permitting was accelerated by two weeks. Because of the delay the client needed a place to store his belongings and I negotiated for him (at no charge) the use of the home's garage until closing. It is funny to see this review because I have never received a "D" grade in my life. Looking back at this experience I would rate the client as perfectionistic who probably would not be thrilled with anyone's performance.
