Worst customer service ever. I called twice to get an estimate and got a call back a week later. I scheduled an appointment for Michael to come out and got a call later from his secretary the he was no longer at that time could he pushed it back, sure no problem. Day of the appointment he calls to let me know his truck is not working and he would be a half hour late no problem I said. He let me know he would call on his way. He finally showed up an 1.5 hours later no call until he was in the driveway. I was working on something and by the time I came down he was pulling away didn’t even come to the door. I tried to call him numerous times which went right to voice. He texted back “ I tried on to my next appointment good luck. So rude don’t waste your time!!

Cre was responsive, prompt, professional and a pleasure to work with. She went the extra mile to make sure I was happy-- came back after the job was done to spackle and patch. Her crew was efficient and competent, and cleaned up after themselves reasonably well. One downside was that they cut the attic floorboards between the joists, which then left big holes in the attic floor (they should have removed each board whole by pulling nails). The work was shockingly expensive, but no more than any other electrician would have been, and maybe even a bit less.

This was done through Mass Save so my cost was not the full cost. Derek led the crew of three. They arrived at 7:30 and checked with me that I didn't need to go out anywhere before parking the truck in front of my garage. They were also considerate of the other handyman doing work in the house. When they finished, Derek made sure I was satisfied with how they cleaned up after themselves. They did a good job cleaning up! I gave a C on responsiveness because I did not get a reminder/confirmation within 24-48 hours that they were coming. I had it in my calendar but a confirmation call or email would have reduced my wondering. Literally, I was looking up McMahon's phone number when they pulled in my driveway.

The crew was very prompt and professional. They were extremely thorough both in the execution of the insulation work and also in the preparation, putting down drop cloths in all traffic areas, communicating all of the work to be performed and in the clean up. As a result of this work, the house fells much more comfortable. In particular, the master bedroom area where it was previously cool and drafty and where there were instances of freezing pipes located on the kneewall. Both of these issues have been addressed. Also, weatherstripping and door seals were installed on all exterior doors. Spray expandable foam was also used extensively to seal out air infiltration around the foundation area. The lower level area which was previously cool is also now much more comfortable. The work performed exceeded our expectations and are extremely satisfied with the results! We highly recommend Michael T McMahon & Son Insulation for any Insulation work.

We had an energy audit done, and received a report with recommended improvements and cost estimates. I contacted Michael McMahon through Angie's List and he got back to me fairly quickly. So far so good. After a brief telephone conversation, he asked me to send the energy audit report so he knew exactly what needed to be done and he could then also look at the cost estimates that were included in the report to make sure he could do the job for that price. I emailed the report and we connected by phone a few days later. He indicated he could do the job in the next four weeks, and that he was okay with the prices as included in the report. All I had to do was contact his office on Monday (we spoke on a Saturday) to set up an appointment. Spoke to the office on Monday; she was going to put everything on paper for me to sign. Two days later, I receive the quote: $3,169, almost $1,400 more than the cost from the report that he had already verbally agreed to. So I called the office, and the woman said Mr. McMahon would call me right back. No phone call. I sent an email asking what had happened, and got a response that he never agreed to the pricing, and the energy advisor had low balled the costs. All in all a very unprofessional way of working. After the fact, I checked BBB, and found a complaint there about similar behavior in another case.

Went great. They finished the work in a day, and also built the platform for me.

We signed up via the MassSave program to have insulation work done on our house. The initial work went fine. They showed up when they said they would and performed the work, however we noticed that some of the walls had been overfilled and the drywall was protruding outward. Upon inspection by the MassSave agent, we were told that there were several areas that had not been addressed, and that they needed to fix the drywall that had been cracked. About a month later, I received a phone call from Mr. McMahon Jr who asked if a carpenter could come out the next day to fix the walls. I have a 1 year old, and construction work would not be able to be done the next day as my son would be home, and his room was one of the affected areas. I received another call the next Thursday asking if someone again could come out the following day. Calling the day before and offering a time when it is convenient only for the contractor is not the best way to go about scheduling. I did not receive any calls back after that. I have since called them 3 times over a period of a few weeks, and still have not received another phone call from anyone at their company. At this time I have filed a complaint with MassSave and I cannot recommend their services. I now fear retribution from their company and I am wondering if they will actually finish the work as they have been instructed by MassSave. Overall, this was a very poor experience.

Michael T Mcmahon and Son Inc was fantastic. I had a great experience working with them and they made things very easy. They were professional and competent. They showed up on time and did what they said they were going to do. Then they cleaned up and they left.

We choose this company through the list provided to us from Mass Saves. Mike was easy to deal with on the phone making the arrangements. His crew, with foreman Justin were outstanding. They arrived early, but made efforts to be quiet due to neighbors. They had an excellent work ethic, and went above and beyond with the entire job. We had used another company previously for our basement, and the difference in the experience was very apparent, in both quality, attention to detail, and willingness to be sure we were happy as well as making sure all our questions were addressed. They also did a thorough job with cleaning up and repairing some nicks in the ceiling. Highly recommend!

M. T. McMahon called to set up what would be a good time for me to come and do they work. They showed up right on time. Their crew was kind, polite and neat. I was amazed at how the process actually works with blowing the insulation through little holes that they repaired after. After the job was complete they went around with a vacuum to make sure there was no insulation left anywhere. I think they left my house cleaner than when they started. After the job was complete I got to talking to some of the crew, Mike and Jesse, I found out they also do General Contracting. My parents have been interested in having their kitchen remodeled and I will definately recommend McMahon to them. I can tell by the amount of care they had in my home that they would show the same respect in remodeling. I would definately recommend using M. T. McMahon and Son they were amazing and courteous!!!!!!!

It went so easy for me. I received a heat loan thru the Mass Save Program - they did all the paperwork. McMahon's crew put drop cloths down everywhere and totally cleaned up after themselves. My house is so much warmer, and quieter!

My home is so much warmer now. McMahon Insulation was on time and very respectful, introducing each member of the team, laying out drop cloths so as to keep the carpets clean, and communicating with me regarding their progress. I have already recommended McMahon Insulation to my family.

Justin and (young) Mike arrived right on time. They introduced themselves and explained what they would be doing. They were polite, courteous and professional. They knew what they were talking about and got right to work. My wife and I were working from home that day and had to make phone calls. Justin and Mike were quiet and worked around us. It took most of the day to complete the work (there was a lot more than I had anticipated) and when it was done, the job was perfect. The aspect that impressed me just as much as the very high quality of their work was how incredibly neat they worked. They placed drop clothes wherever they worked and were extremely careful not to let the hose from the blower scratch anything along the path to the attic. At the end of the day, they cleaned up so thoroughly that here was not a piece of insulation to be found. They even vacuumed off the grass on the front lawn where the hose had left some insulation. I would not hesitate for a second to call these guys again for any job and if Angie's list had a grade of A+, I would be giving Mike McMahon's Insulation (and Justin and Mike) an A+!

When we had an energy audit done and participated in the insulation aspect of the program, we selected McMahon Insulation from the list of providers offered and feel we definately made the right choice. We were told that they would be at our home at 7am and they were there as promised. While the crew supervisor came in to tell us what would be happening, the rest of the crew was hard at work prepping the outside. We had snow the previous night, and part of the prep included shovelling snow all around the perimeter of the house...amazing! Tarps were put down to catch any bits of insulation which might blow out as well as any wood chips from where they drilled holes. The crew worked there way around the house and drilled holes and blew insulation in, plugged the holes and then replaced the shingles and siding which were removed to do the work. There was absolutely no damage to the home and you could hear the insulation being blown in while immediately feeling a difference in the interior warmth. Once they finished all the work, they went around and shovelled snow into trash bags, so as to remove as much of insulation that blew into the air as possible. We can honestly say that was a bonus and not at all expected. I would most definately recommend this company for your insulation needs.
