Description of Work: I just completed a small custom move from an estate in New York to my home in Carver and from the first encounter the people at Marathon were courteous, helpful and very professional. I am very happy I chose them to do the move for me.

Description of Work: Was looking for a company to move us from our condo in Somerville and hold our things for a couple months until we moved into a new house. Experience was great. They came to our house and estimated the costs. They were on time, friendly and professional on both ends of the move. Pricing was much better than Gentle Giant who I priced against. Would use them again and recommend.

Description of Work: I had to move two storage units (10x10 and 10x20) about 20 miles apart to a single family home. I think it only took 5 or 6 hours from start to finish. They even assembled the frame of my bed.

Description of Work: They packed up my household goods, stored these for 2 1/2 months, and delivered these to my new location. The moving crew was delightful and professional at all times. They unpacked my household goods and placed these where requested.

Description of Work: They were absolutely wonderful. I was given an estimate prior to my move following a review of my old home and its contents. It included 2 trucks instead of one, and both were filled to the max. The movers arrived in the morning promptly on time. They needed to move multiple heavy items from the 3rd floor of my old Victorian that included 30-40 boxes of Records, CDs and books. They took apart an L-Shaped desk from the second floor and also needed to remove the doors of my refrigerator in order to get it out of the old house. Once they arrived at my new home, where my 80yo mother was waiting to help put items away, the very first thing they did was bring in the sofa chair for her to sit down. The desk and refrigerator were re assembled as were 3 beds. I simply directed traffic from the back of the truck as to where I needed items to go. They even worked thru lunch in order to be down before the sun set. I could not have been happier and have recommended Marathon movers to my friends

Description of Work: They helped move furniture to another apartment and get rid of furniture. Some of the furniture was very heavy and it was challenging but they did a tremendous job. They went above and beyond.
