The team of 3 movers was very professional and did not waste time. They really took care in protecting our belongings from damage.

The overall experience was extremely pleasant. The estimator was good, the office staff very helpful, the team of movers, fantastic. Despite the fact that we were not as ready as we should have been, the movers worked with us and ended up being under the lowest estimate given. We felt that there price/quality was extremely reasonable!

The over all experience was frustrating. They mis-estimated the time to laod, mis-estimated the quantity of goods so they had to come back a second day to load. Then, when unloading, never told us that they would not be arriving until 3pm. I took the whole day off and waited for them. Even when I called the main office, everyone told me they would ''be there in an hour''. They did not finish until 7:30pm and even though the boxes were clearly marked, 60% of the boxes were put in the wrong place.

The team was prompt, energetic, and polite. The packing job was excellent. We have not found any damage on any of the packed items. They managed to get a desk down a stairwell that I would have sworn was too small for the desk. I worried that using the company with the lower estimate would be a compromise, but it wasn't! I had no complaints with the way the move was performed.

I made an appointment with Marathon for an estimate. They were helpful and seemed pleased that I found them through Angie's List. My estimate consisted of 1 truck with 3 men for 6-7 hours. I requested and was given two estimates- one with and one without packing. The one I chose without packing was $930.50 which did not include fuel charges. I thought this was a little high but they were up front about that as well. On the day of the move, they showed up on time, but with only two men. They said a few people had called in sick but they assured me they could get the job done. I was a bit skeptical because I did have some big pieces that were expensive. The guys got everything on the truck in about 3 1/2 hours. This was pretty good considering it was raining that day. Cieran, the head mover was pleasant to deal with and patient. The move into my new home went smoothly as well. They even made suggestions on furniture placement that was helpful. I would definitely use Marathon again.

They made the whole process happen effectively and professionally, and even made it seem easy. They were friendly and communicated well with us. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Work was staggeringly priced. I wanted a piano moved from one room to the next and back to accommodate installation of a hardwood floor and was told three people and four hours minimum and over $500. I purchased a permanant piano truck for $499, and can move it at will. Piano delivery from the street and up a short flight of stairs only required two men and 20 minutes.

Initial contact was with Erin, who I found out later quoted me incorrectly. Was given a quote based on 2 hour minimum. Quote was increased when a truck was needed to haul protection for the hardwood floors. Actual move took 20 minutes- movers were through and polite. When I was given the final bill there was an extra charge of $110 for travel time. I called the office and spoke with Erin. I explained that I was not given any extra charges above the $270 quote. I had to argue until quite annoyed before she would honor the original quote of $270.

The team arrived in the time period, were professional & polite. Made sure I was satisfied with everything before they left.

The movers met us at the Boston Freight Terminal right on time. They were very polite and got to our house quickly from there. They had to unpack the marble in the truck and get it into the house. It was absolutely pouring rain all the time they were doing this. It was extremely difficult but they were very good and worked very quickly. I was very pleased and would use this company again. Their hourly rate was much less than the other companies I called.

Initially we were very impressed with responsiveness of company at providing estimate. Quote was lower than what we paid, due to extra hours it took to finish move. We were very surprised at how long it took them to move our stuff. Their lunch hour was more than an hour. They broke a storage shelf which they did not say anything about until we mentioned it to them on day of move, and they broke expensive vase which was wrapped in box; we found the lid of that box outside of truck on ground, and box was inside house already opened. Overall, disappointing movers after great initial customer service.

Pre-move communication and interaction were very good. They were polite and responsive. Movers came on the day and time indicated. The two movers were polite and respectful. In terms of the moving, I thought they were a little slow - a 3-5 hour job became an 8-hour job - but that was partly because there were a few more things than were estimated for (but not enough, I thought, to warrant a 3-hour increase). All in all, a positive experience, and I would certainly consider them again for any moving jobs in the future.

Great experience - the movers were very professional, friendly and prompt. They were able to pack the contents of the house within a few hours and were careful with all belongings. Moving into the new condo went very smoothly.

Excellent service. The crew showed up on time. The movers were courteous, well prepared and helpful. The job was completed quickly and came in under the estimate. Highly recommended.

Prior to the move, they were excellent communicators -- arrived on time for estimate, arranged for box drop-off, answered all of my questions. Move day they showed up exactly on time, even though it was raining torrentially. They were very efficient at wrapping and loading, and came in well under their (already very reasonable) estimate. Crew was very quiet and polite and careful with my belongings. Because of what I do for a living, I move on average every 24 months, so believe me I can tell a good company from a bad one, and Marathon is one of the best (and best priced!) I've ever worked with.

They were prompt, fast, careful, and the job went very smoothly. I couldn't have been happier.

For the first round, Kamil and his 2 team members were on time. They were experienced movers, knew what to do without wasting any second. They carefully packed the boxes and wrapped the furniture with blankets and loaded them into their truck. For the second round, Kamil and 3 team members came for unloading to our new house. They were on time. They cautiously placed the furniture where we wanted them to. The floor of the house was newly sanded, they paid special attention while putting the furniture on the floor. They started at 7 am and worked until 1:45 pm

I have used them before, and they are professional from the time you call until the time they leave your home. Just great to work with. The piece I wanted them to move would not fit through our old doorways/stairwells. They figured out how a crane could get it through a second story window. Very helpful throughout, and polite.

Excellent! The two men arrived early and were done in about 45 minutes. They were careful to have me check exact placement of furniture. Office was easy and pleasant to deal with. My only quibble is the 2-hour minimum - seems as if they should cut it to 1 hour for internal moves, especially since they charge a travel fee. They sent a truck although I did not need one.

THE MOVERS WERE GREAT. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME, WORKED QUICKLY AND CAME IN RIGHT ON THEIR ESTIMATE.

I THOUGHT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. THE MOVERS WERE REALLY NICE GUYS AND THEY MOVED US ON AN OPPRESSIVELY HOT DAY. THERE WERE SOME MINOR ISSUES, THOUGH. A FEW KNICKS ON FURNITURE AND A BROKEN GLASS PICTURE FRAME.

I HAVE USED OTHER MOVERS BEFORE, BUT HAD A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH MARATHON, AND WOULD ABSOLUTELY USE THEM AGAIN. THEY MOVED ME ON ONE OF THE HOTTEST DAYS OF THE SUMMER, FINISHED EARLY, AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH IN EVERY RESPECT. ALL OF MY BELONGINGS ARRIVED INTACT AND THE FINAL BILL WAS CONSIDERABLY CHEAPER THAN THE ESTIMATE THEY HAD GIVEN ME - WHICH MADE ME VERY HAPPY! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

FROM BEGINNING TO END, MARATHON IS PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND COMPETENT. MY BEST MOVE EVER.

THE THREE GUYS THAT CAME TO MOVE THE PIANO WERE VERY NICE, CLEAN, AND RESOURCEFUL. LIVING IN AN OLD 2 FAMILY HOUSE, IT WAS TRICKY FOR THEM TO GET THIS AWKWARD, AND RATHER HEAVY, PIANO AROUND CORNERS AND UP A FLIGHT OF STAIRS INTO OUR LIVING ROOM. THEY MADE SURE WE WERE ALL SET WITH EVERYTHING, CLEANED UP PROMPTLY, AND TOOK CARE OF ANYTHING THEY HAD TO MOVE WHILE BRINGING IN THE PIANO.

ERIN WAS VERY GOOD ON THE PHONE HELPING ME ARRANGE FOR THIS JOB. GABE AND RORY DID A GREAT JOB. THEY KEPT WORKING AT WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A VERY QUICK PACE AND HANDLED THE MATERIAL CAREFULLY, NEAR AS I COULD TELL. IF THEY HAD A QUESTION, THEY ASKED. THEY REMEMBERED THE THINGS I ASKED THEM TO DO AND BE AWARE OF. I WAS A LITTLE CONCERNED EARLY ON WHEN THEY CALLED WITH TRUCK PROBLEMS, BUT THEY SHOWED UP AND GOT RIGHT TO IT AFTER THEY GOT THEIR REPLACEMENT TRUCK.
