The crew that came were great. They knew exactly what they were doing and completed the work under the minimum time on site. Very friendly. They took apart all the beds and put them back together at the new house. Big screen TV's (60in) they took care of it and packed it away in a box. Surprisingly, nothing was damaged during the entire process. I've recommended them to all my friends, and if I ever had to move again, I'd definitely use them again without a question.

We had a very positive experience with Marathon Moving after finding them on Angie's List. We read several great reviews and we are so happy we chose Marathon Moving. Kathy Keane, our moving coordinator, was very helpful. She visited our home and gave us an estimate. The price was very reasonable compared to other companies we researched, and our final price fell below the original estimate. Marathon was also willing to hold our belongings on a truck for 5 days rather than store them, which saved us money. The movers arrived at our townhouse right on time the morning we moved out. They were quick, respectful, professional, and careful with our property. My husband and I enjoyed chatting with them throughout the day. Everything was delivered in good condition. We will highly recommend Marathon Moving to friends and family in the future.

It was fabulous! This is by far the best moving company I have ever used and trust me I have moved alot! The team/crew I had: Marvin, Josh & Rick were so professional, courteous and just did a fabulous job. My move was challenging and they kept a positive smiling attitude the whole day. By them being so relaxed ....it put me at ease. Never had to lift a finger to help....I tried and they would say please relax....we got this covered! Every inch of furniture was wrapped to perfection and not one item was scratched or broken. I know we have a lot of moving companies in Massachusetts but truly Marathon Moving is by far the best and don't think twice about hiring them.....they get the job done. Robin A.

Our experience with Marathon Moving was great. Kathy was prompt and courteous in providing an estimate and her thoroughness gave us confidence in the numbers she quoted. Other moving companies that we contacted weren?t nearly as thorough. On moving day, the crew showed up right in their scheduled window of time after calling to inform us that they were on the way. The 5-man crew, headed by Al, loaded the contents of our 3-story, 4-bedroom house onto the trucks and packed all of our dishes and china over the course of the morning. Odd shaped items such as floor lamps and a marble-top table didn?t slow them down a bit. The guys were courteous and professional. They also did a nice job protecting the floors and the banister on the stairway. After a lunch break, our belongings were delivered to our new place where the unloading was just as quick and professional as the loading. Everything was in and placed to our satisfaction by mid-afternoon. Nothing was damaged in the move and the guys didn?t call it quits until we had done a walk-through and made sure everything was placed exactly where we wanted it. Overall, the move cost less than our estimate due to the quick, efficient manner in which the job got done. Another nice feature of Marathon Moving was the fact that we could get gently used boxes and packing paper from their warehouse in Randolph to help us pack ahead of time, which was a nice way to save a bit more on the cost of the move. The move described here was from a house that we sold to a temporary rental unit. Three months after this move, we moved into a permanent home and used Marathon Moving again. As before, the crew headed by Al was courteous and professional and once again the cost of the move came in under the estimate due to the efficient manner in which the guys worked. We?d highly recommend Marathon Moving to others and wouldn?t hesitate to use them again.

The move was on time and very efficient with time use. The 4 movers themselves were absolutely spectacular, they got things done quickly and were willing to make some changes during the move. At our new house they put everything exactly where we asked and made sure everything was perfect. I can't say enough about them. The main office was also excellent, we dealt with Steve who was professional and helpful. Although the price came in over our estimate, it was worth it to have such a great group of people to work with. One piece of our furniture was stained during the move and they have agreed to pay for the cleaning. Spectacular Company.

Kathy came out and she was really nice and sweet. She was very accommodating and gave me two different estimates for the move, one was for me packing up my things and them moving it away and the other was for them packing them up and moving them away. She emailed me pretty quickly with the estimates and told me to let her know when I was ready. I would be more than happy to use their service.

I hired Marathon Movers to move my dad out of his office into their home. They moved a desk, credenza, a couple of file cabinets and many boxes. Marathon had excellent reviews on Angie's list and was also offering a great deal of $500 worth of moving for $249. They were excellent to work with from the first phone call through the end of the move. Josh and Mark showed up right on time (after calling when on their way) and were extremely pleasant, professional, and efficient. They looked everything over and got to work. They cautioned us that the desk might be too wide to get through the house doorway, but fortunately it did. They got everything moved in record time and thus the coupon cost ($249) covered the entire move. What an awesome deal! I would definitely hire them again even without a coupon!

They haven't done the move yet, but they have provided an estimate of the cost. They were very responsive when I called, were very thorough when assessing the scope of the move, and subsequently provided a detailed estimate.

It went without a hitch. Andrew and Xavier were two of the best workers. They made it all look so easy and they were friendly and professional. Sheila in the office was fantastic as well. She got all of my information and took it from there - it was seamless which is what you need when you have so much going on and can get a little stressed!

We hired Marathon after having 3 companies come out and give us an estimate. One company was 1500 higher than Marathon and the other company gave the same estimate. Booking the estimate and the move itself was very easy and quick. The only concern I had was that I asked them to email me and the company appears to prefer to call. Everyone was pleasant, courteous and flexible to meet our schedule. We had a scare that the POD wouldn't be able to be moved as we had planned 2 days before we were supposed to move. We called Marathon and they offered some suggestions and were flexible with us, which was a relief. We moved a 3 bedroom house plus a full 1 bedroom apartment during this move. The move itself was phenomenal. They give you an hour arrival window- and they showed up 5 minutes after the beginning of the window. There were 5 guys and the foreman (Steve) and they were incredible. They were all such nice guys and pleasant to be around. We just moved (February) and it was a nice day, but there was a ton of ice on the ground at the old house. One of the guys even offered my mother-in-law an arm so she could walk out over the ice and not fall. There were some nice extras that made a huge difference. Marathon moves full chests of drawers and puts everything that you have hanging up in the closets in wardrobe boxes for no extra charge. This was really nice- we hung up our work clothes that we needed immediately and when we got to the new house, the clothes were already hanging in the closet, which just made it easier to unpack. We packed a weeks worth of clothes into the dressers, so that was all available and not in boxes when we got to the new house, which reduced the stress considerably. They also disassembled and assembled the beds, tables, etc so that the first night all we had to do was unpack the sheets and towels. They also moved an old washer out of the new house and brought our new washer up to the laundry room. Once they arrived, we walked them through- there were somethings that we didn't want them to move and they stayed away from those. They gave us an estimate as to when they would be finished packing up the old house. After that, we went for coffee. They called us (earlier than planned!) when they had just a few minutes left. We went through the old house with them to make sure everything was out and gone. It was great. They even brought heavy trash out to the curb for us. They took lunch on the way to the new house and then started again- they unpacked two trucks and a POD and dealt with another icy driveway and stairs. The driveway was a sheet of untreated ice that had to be about 2 inches thick. At the new house, we stayed in one part of the house because we didn't have anywhere to go. They actually brought in our two recliners early in the unpacking so we had someplace to sit while they moved around us. They finished right about the time that they had originally estimated- and actually apologized because the ice had slowed them down. We have unpacked 90 percent of our boxes and everything is great- there was no damage to the boxes or any of the furniture- it seemed like they wrapped everything. There was no damage to any of the paint or walls in either house- and they moved a treadmill which I have no idea how it got in and up the stairs in the new house. We were really really happy with them. We felt like the price was a bargain and the service they delivered was over and above what we could have possibly expected- even if we had paid double the price. On top of that, the guys were all personable and nice- they went out of their way to take care of my mother-in-law and were chatting with us about the Olympics while they were assembling tables, furniture etc. I actually texted our real estate agent and told her this was the most relaxing day I had had in awhile. If we ever move again, we would definitely hire them.

Minor billing issue which was quickly resolved to my satisfication.

Team was on time. They got to the job right away. I didn't disassembled all the furniture but they had no problems with that. They broke a piece from a drawer but fixed it and we don't even realize that it was broken now.

We contacted Marathon because they were highly rated here. Once the details of our move (multi-stop from Lowell to Worcester + storage) were evident, they said that we would be able to get a better deal elsewhere because of the distances involved. We were impressed that they gave that advice up front knowing that it would be a more expensive move for us if we moved with them.

They saved me many dollars and hours with their experience and know-how.

They were excellent. The crew was great and dug right in and worked hard to complete the move. I don't have the exact cost right now but remember it was reasonable and they came in right at or below the estimate. Lucas was right on with the estimate. We hope we get the same crew to move us out of storage, they were fabulous. They matched a special offer for the storage unit that was available somewhere else.

moved us from a big house to a small interim apartment and then - six months later - from the apartment to a condo...including moving some stuff out of storage and other stuff into storage. We had a very difficult move - four flights of narrow winding stairs in the new condo. (It's an 1850s bow front South End condo. And we had some very heavy pieces. We were demanding because some pieces wouldn't fit where we planned and so we had to rearrange things after a very long day. They maintained absolute good humor throughout. A few chips in the finish of a coffee table, and one wall nick. But I don't see how there wasn't a whole lot more damage than that. Have recommended them to friends.

I used Marathon to pack up my belongings and move to my new home. With a 5 man crew they were able to do this efficiently in around 5 hours and for much less than the estimated price. Everything was well packed, so there was no damage to anything. There was one small issue which my contact at Marathon was able to resolve very quickly. Marathon Moving was great from start to finish. Kathy came out quickly and gave us a quote. Nate, Nick and Xavier showed up on time and worked hard all day loading up our stuff, dropping several items off at storage and then unloading at our new place. They were personable, professional and a pleasure to work with. Nothing was damaged in transit and we are looking forward to using their services again. Highly recommended!

We had a most excellent experience with Marathon. From the day Lucas arrived to give us an estimate, leaving us with a professional brochure and a real sense of what they offer, it was obvious they were head and shoulders above the other two companies we interviewed. On moving day they called ahead, arrived on time and handled everything in a polite and professional manner. They were extremely careful with our belongings and residences old and new. They went above an beyond for us, even moving things around a couple of times until my wife was satisfied with their placement. The great thing is, they gave us a dollar range and the final bill was at the lower end of the estimate. Would'nt hesitate to recommend this company and we will absolutely use them again.

We cannot say enough about the quality of this experience with Marathon Movers. From the beginning, Stephen Conroy, the consultant, worked with us, visited our home, gave us an estimate, and provided the information we needed to prepare for the move. The contract and information were provided online, making many of the details easy. The day before the move, we got a call to confirm time of arrival of the trucks. The movers [four strong and very pleasant young men] arrived on time, got to work immediately, checked with us to be sure that items were being sent to the proper destination [we had two!]. They were efficient, professional, and worked very quickly. They checked with us about particularly delicate things that needed special packaging, and shrink-wrapped all large pieces going into storage. Within three hours, both trucks were off to destinations. They arrived at each facility on time, unloaded the materials, and managed to finish the entire job before 4 PM. The final estimate turned out to be lower than the first! You can well imagine our appreciation and delight. This company made moving ALMOST pleasant! I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They aren't the least/most expensive company, but I doubt they can be beat for making moves quickly, kindly, and efficiently.

Move went extremely well. The movers were punctual and professional and took good care with packing of items, large and small that we needed packing. The entire move took the amount of time and cost what was estimated so there were no surprises. The crew did a great job and we were very pleased with their work. I would highly recommend marathon movers and we would definitely use them again!
