Description of Work: This was an outstanding moving service who were professional in every aspect. I had packed up my own belongings except for large items such as TV's, large paintings and mirrors. Everything arrived in first class shape and the gentlemen who moved me even made sure that all my furniture (some of it very large) was put together, placed where I wanted it and were always cheerful at what I consider to be a very demanding job.

Description of Work: I needed a long-distance move from TX to MA. Based on the information on Angie's list and company website, MARATHON offers state-to-state move. I emailed the firm with all the details, but the company responded that I will be better off finding a local mover. | |1) The email response was fast. -- Good |2) It would be false advertising to say that they offer state-to-state - Bad |3) I think I would feel better if they at least give me a referral to a local company. (I did call local firms but they said they don't offer the service. This is quite frustrating).

Description of Work: The staff at Marathon Moving Company was extremely courteous and professional from the time we requested a quote to the actual day of service. The fellas who did the actual moving were prompt, personable, and accommodating. They performed all aspects of the job from disassembling/reassembling/relocating with efficiency and skill. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I recommended my client use Angies List to vet movers.Here is my clients experience: "We moved from a large 7000 foot Milton home to a much smaller 2800 foot home, and I was delighted to have chosen Marathon for this complex move. After 17 years in one place we had accumulated a lot of things, and I must say they did a truly excellent job. This move took approximately 300 manhours spread over seven days, and unbelievably only one wineglass even had a crack in it! Nick the foreman headed an experienced crew which worked ten hours a day, and everyone in the crew had a smile all day and did everything they could to respond to our every need. They worked with me on a plan, and they executed it flawlessly and on time and on budget. Before choosing Marathon I interviewed five recommended movers, and Marathon’s references were the best. The quality was apparent in the first interview, and the bid they put together was excellent. It was below all but one, but the 5% difference was worth every penny of it and I was glad to not have chosen just the cheapest. Marathon’s extra quality and care was worth every penny, and I’ll never choose another mover! A-plus

Description of Work: Marathan met us in Marshfield to move several furniture items from a friend's parents house down to West Barnstable. There were a couple of bedroom sets and living room furniture (couch, loveseat, chair and ottoman, lamps, tables, etc.) and a few other misc items. The guys were very nice and polite, on time and worked steadily. When they finished we headed down the Cape and they got to West BArnstable about 10 minutes after us which was perfect. We were very pleased with the whole experience and would use them again. Price came in under estimate!
